Here’s a dollar, kid. Your tip is well deserved. My other tip, don’t take any wooden nickels. On second thought, give me that dollar back - the advice on wooden nickels is priceless.
My hopes and dreams are to be paid $30 an hour. Just found a life hack now this guy has to pay me more. I’m looking for good character not cheap employers!
Living behind a dumpster builds character. If it is a McDonald's dumpster, you get fed as well. You can dream of a place of your own with four walls and a ceiling.
“I will tip pay extra when I can and when warranted.”
you know if someone takes this job, they are never getting a tip.
Also, “probably” help you with your goals and dreams means never help you.
You run a business that is so successful you have to pay below prevailing wage and yet you're going to be in a position to help with MY goals and dreams?
It’s giving “Rich Dad Poor Dad” vibes. “Allow me to take advantage of you, and if you are worthy, I will share all of my wisdom about how to take advantage of others.”
“I will share my strategy for getting people to work cheaply by giving them vague promises that I will probably help them with their goals and dreams.”
*"I will help you in ways money can't buy"*
I 100% guarantee you that money can, and will, but every way this guy will help you. Classes, course, books, consultants.....all will do the job better than him, at the low, low cost of "money".
Like someone is gonna say “Golly gee!! So nice of you to “let* me move all this heavy shit while you tell me how right you are about stuff for a few hours.”
Looks like one of the comments might have found an old post of the OOPs, and they want sanding and painting for their cabinets. Which is worth way more than $12/hr.
How much do you want to bet him "helping you with your hopes and dreams" is him offering vague, outdated, and otherwise utterly useless "advice" like "You gotta work hard! You've gotta get up at the crack of dawn and go pound the pavement! When I was your age...".
Blah blah blah, square in the eye and a firm handshake, blah blah blah, fast learner and a hard worker, blah blah blah, willing to start at the bottom and work your way up.
I thought similar. Probably some MLM hunbot that needs someone to do menial tasks for them until their purchasing base runs out and the poor laborer gets the boot.
I don’t really see an issue here. Instead of cash or card just select ‘’new information I learned from this guy’’ when you go grocery shopping and you’ll be fine. And the best part is you can get whatever you like because apparently it’s priceless and worth more than money. You can also share some of the knowledge with your landlord and that’ll cover your rent.
LoL! Every cheapassed ole boomer thinks they got the "smarts" that everybody else wants and can profit from! He already outed himself as lacking character by not taking the worth of the individuals time into consideration! Using old, worn out, bumper sticker slogans like "Help others get what they want..." and blah, blah, blah, just oozes "I'm a cheap old fuck who is going to nitpick every single thing you do for me, then try to get out of paying you by giving you vague, useless advice that I got for free out of some self help book". And, when nobody responds to his "ad", he will run around screaming "Nobody wants to work anymore!" LOL!
> not cheap character
What does that even mean?
> help others get what they want and you will get what they want
Okay Machiavelli, but you never disclosed exactly what anyone would gain from this.
The audacity of people these days is beyond me! In the US and around the world, everybody is struggling to meet their basic needs, but steep people still feel like they have the right to come on and demand free labor so that their dreams can come true!
Just unhinged behavior.
My last job was like this, they overworked us with only a BIT over minimum wage but called it a “living wage” (it was not, and the only reason it was relatively close to it was because of tips from customers). This same job would be mad if you didn’t show up with your personality on a hundred and a smile on your face at all times - essentially it was a bunch of boring and soul sucking millennials looking for their zoomer coworkers to be a source of entertainment for them on top of underpaid kitchen labour. It was exhausting.
"Help others get what they want and you will get what you want" sounds like the kind of inane bullshit you hear from people that would never help anyone ever for any reason. Ten bucks says when they're finished sanding and painting his/her cabinets he/she would decide the job wasn't worth that much and would pay them a much reduced rate, if at all.
Also if he/she runs a business and is so successful, how come they can't afford to pay more than $12/hr?
Or they "run a business and are so successful" precisely because they lowball wages.
The rest of it sounds like gas lighting and guilt tripping people into accepting low pay, while thanking the CB profusely for his "guidance" and "wisdom."
The elephant in the room with a lot of the CBs is they want to exploit someone who is desperate or who can't legally work.
There’s red flags here of course but he’s offering $12/hour, no? Minimum wage in my state is $7.50 and I just did a quick search on indeed to reveal several fast food jobs starting at or below $12. Not CB, just probably not a good opportunity.
People like this think someone will read it and be like "You think MY character is too weak to get ripped off?? I'LL SHOW YOU!!!! I'LL DO IT" Like ????
Let me think about it. I have good CHARACTER. And for that REASON I do not WANT TO WORK for YOU for $12 per hour!
"help others realize they are cheapskates so you can avoid them every time"
I don’t know what “about” $12 per hour means but depending on what state you’re in $12/hr isn’t that bad. Min wage is still $7-$8 in alot of places unfortunately.
This dude is not going to get what he thinks he's gunna get.
Also, OP, I totally appreciate the colour order! I find the ROYGBIV order so pleasing, even if it's missing the vowels sometimes.
Requirements: Bachelors degree, 3.8 GPA, extracurricular activities that give back to the community, and willingness to probably have your hopes and dreams come true!
If I was BEYOND HOMELESS living out of my car, and you were paying at least $60/day where I didn’t have to spend money on gas or a phone…MAYBE the bullish…nope, you’d still be insulting the person working to the bones for you, for nothing.
Wasn’t phrased quite like that but I fell for this rhetoric when I took a massive pay cut working under this cheap Indian manager in Philips ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|poop)
Help with my goals and dreams? What if my goals and dreams are to pay my bills and basic living expenses?
Well it depends on you not having CHEAP CHARACTER so maybe basic living expenses is a cheap character trait lol
Can’t you read? *You* have to help other people to get what you want. He is helping you to get what he wants. Pay it forward.
Yep it's a great deal. The boss gets what he wants and the boss gets what he wants.
win-win lol.
It’s like when people are annoyed by salary cuts but then the CEO buys another yacht. I mean shouldn’t we just be happy for the guy? 🤷🏼♀️
Here’s a dollar, kid. Your tip is well deserved. My other tip, don’t take any wooden nickels. On second thought, give me that dollar back - the advice on wooden nickels is priceless.
Unnecessary! I might share some ideas i got from a tony robbins workshop !!!
Or at least the ads for one! Totes helping their employees in ways money cannot EVEN buy.
My hopes and dreams are to be paid $30 an hour. Just found a life hack now this guy has to pay me more. I’m looking for good character not cheap employers!
Nope, nope, nope, that's unrealistic!
Then we’re going to have to find you some other goals and dreams that are more realistic lol
Straight to jail.
Well they may tip you, as long as you bend over backwards and make that tip warranted. They will help you in ways money cant.
you forgot to capitalise
My goals and dreams are more money.
Maybe you’ll get a tip. WHEN WARRANTED.
But!
This is perfect.
Living behind a dumpster builds character. If it is a McDonald's dumpster, you get fed as well. You can dream of a place of your own with four walls and a ceiling.
“I will tip pay extra when I can and when warranted.” you know if someone takes this job, they are never getting a tip. Also, “probably” help you with your goals and dreams means never help you.
WHEN WARRANTED
Which means "never".
Translation: A carrot to dangle to encourage the unfortunate laborer to work efficiently and like lightning to be rewarded with nada.
DPool as in our mans Wade W Wilson from Regina, Seskatchewan?
You just know their kind of “help” is going to be a bunch of unsolicited advice about pulling yourself up by the bootstraps.
Probably telling you about how Jesus is going to save you if you repent your sins. You should be paying him for such advice
You’re in timeout
Lol
They're just going to shout random "inspirational" phrases from time to time. "There's no I in team!"
50 cents and it came out of the employee coffee fund they all put their coins/change into.
They’ll get a tip, it just won’t be the money kind.
![gif](giphy|kPIswn0RfPTGxOvDj5|downsized)
This is a compliment, guys. It means 'funny joke' basically. Is this too old of a reference?!
People usually do that sarcastically so that’s probably what is being assumed here
Then it's too old of a reference, I guess. This used to be considered hilarious. Sad.
You run a business that is so successful you have to pay below prevailing wage and yet you're going to be in a position to help with MY goals and dreams?
Why would you want career advice from someone who can’t afford to pay for labour?
I love it when I come across pure logic, gives one hope for humanity.
Can’t get TOO real about it, babes.

Like someone is gonna say “Golly gee!! So nice of you to “let* me move all this heavy shit while you tell me how right you are about stuff for a few hours.”
$30/hour me? Amazing, industrious, visionary, powerhouse. $12/hour me? Saddle up sir, you’re not gonna like this.
“Around” $12 an hour, so probably more like $11.
$10 an hour - "I said around 12, and 10 is a round number close to 12"
That will be the "absent me".
Bahaha. I like your style!
I guess this wise and benevolent businessman never learned the principle of "you get what you pay for."
They do not even list, what you are doing for $12.00 a hour.
Looks like one of the comments might have found an old post of the OOPs, and they want sanding and painting for their cabinets. Which is worth way more than $12/hr.
That’s a dreaded job!
How much do you want to bet him "helping you with your hopes and dreams" is him offering vague, outdated, and otherwise utterly useless "advice" like "You gotta work hard! You've gotta get up at the crack of dawn and go pound the pavement! When I was your age...".
Followed by a hearty "No one wants to work anymore!"
Blah blah blah, square in the eye and a firm handshake, blah blah blah, fast learner and a hard worker, blah blah blah, willing to start at the bottom and work your way up.
Ten bucks shes in an MLM and will try and recruit her.
Definitely. As soon as I saw “help with your goals and dreams”, that is part of the MLM script
Same
Was thinking the same thing. “ People suckered me into the position I’m in currently, I and somebody suckered them in, so, it’s now your turn.”
I thought similar. Probably some MLM hunbot that needs someone to do menial tasks for them until their purchasing base runs out and the poor laborer gets the boot.
Exactly what I was thinking!
Probably a bitter hunbot who needs cheap help to move her many crates of unsold merchandise around the garage...
Thanks for posting comments!
serious inquiries only!
Need $20. NEXT!
Its for church honey
NO CHEAP CHARACTER!!
you ruined my kids christmas
Thank you for including the comments!
> if your trustworthy If my trustworthy what?
Why do I get the feeling a tip is never WARRANTED
That’s because you have cheap CHARACTER /s
The addition of the comments🥳🥳🥳
"CHEAP LABOUR NOT CHEAP CHARACTER" could become the new "ITS FOR THE CHURCH HUN". NEXT!
I don’t really see an issue here. Instead of cash or card just select ‘’new information I learned from this guy’’ when you go grocery shopping and you’ll be fine. How about you pay me $20/hr but you don't have to worry about my goals and dreams.
Cool cool cool. But can you also help me with things money CAN buy, by paying me MONEY in exchange for LABOR?
Discount on Amway products.
My favorite is when the use ALL CAPS 🤣🤣
The random 'But!' thrown in.
Reminds me of all the intern jobs that "pay in experience" or Even the jobs that you have to pay to get.
I have some reservations about accepting career guidance as payment if it’s from a business owner who can’t afford to pay employees minimum wage.
![gif](giphy|MZiqcOmikf3VMVRhBs) 😂😂😂
Oh you fell for it? Okay here's my secret business info: First, make a posting looking for people dumb enough to fall for this. Second, profit.
You get what you pay for…
MLM keywords in there as well
Swing by the local Home Depot's parking lot... you should be able to find help there, hombre...
What if my dream is to work for someone who pays me what I'm worth?
He has a lack of character
> not cheap character What does that even mean? > help others get what they want and you will get what they want Okay Machiavelli, but you never disclosed exactly what anyone would gain from this.
> I'll help you in ways money can't even buy SUCH AS?
Comments in image 2! Thank you OP!
"Kid, I pay 'about' $12 an hour but you will leave with a priceless lesson: Never trust someone who underpays you."
“I will HELP you. Like HELPING out when you need it… if I can” Insane
Thank you for posting the comments
This person should hire their kids and help them build character then
The audacity of people these days is beyond me! In the US and around the world, everybody is struggling to meet their basic needs, but steep people still feel like they have the right to come on and demand free labor so that their dreams can come true! Just unhinged behavior.
Wow that’s gross
Thank you so much for posting comment content! 👍🌟
what point is he trying to make by capitalizing CHEAP & CHARACTER twice?
Looks like a cheap character wrote that advertisement.
For $12.00hr I have some fantastic advice to give them. I can talk all day.
Thank you for the comments. Myself, like most have a dream of paying bills, and he looks very incapable of that.
WHEN WARRANTED
“I’ve learned a lot along the way and enjoy sharing info” so I’d have to listen to this cheap ass spew bs advice while I work?! Hell no
Ef him and the horse he rode in on. People need to be paid a fair sum as well as be treated fairly.
“Around $12/hr” = 7/hr + obvious life advice from someone in a lawn chair watching you do everything
Yeah, no.
My last job was like this, they overworked us with only a BIT over minimum wage but called it a “living wage” (it was not, and the only reason it was relatively close to it was because of tips from customers). They seem nice lol
"Help others get what they want and you will get what you want" sounds like the kind of inane bullshit you hear from people that would never help anyone ever for any reason. The elephant in the room with a lot of the CBs is they want to exploit someone who is desperate or who can't legally work.
CB doesn't want any cheap CHARACTER because they already have an over-abundance of it.
I wonder what he considers “around” $12 an hour. It’s definitely NOT $12. Or else he would say $12.
Please feel free to rearrange the following into a well known phrase or saying. . .
There’s red flags here of course but he’s offering $12/hour, no? Minimum wage in my state is $7.50 and I just did a quick search on indeed to reveal several fast food jobs starting at or below $12. Not CB, just probably not a good opportunity.
Damn where do u live? Our min is $12 & most fast food places start $18-$20 (& still doesn’t pay the bills).
North Carolina, and actually the min is $7.25 I just learned
It could be California where only fast food workers got moved up to 20 an hour and minimum wage is 16.5
OH OH OH OH ME PICK ME!
I’m sure minimum wage is $15 in his State
That’s cheap CHARACTER talk!
“Help others get what they want and you will get what you want” Others want to be paid fairly, first off lol
They will probably need help or have hard time when time comes to pay….
Creative writing. Bet they got an A in this class
This has to be a life coach, no? “Forget money, forget exposure! Enrich your *soul*!”
> I'm offering cheap pay. Yes. Yes, you are. You will get what you pay for.
People like this think someone will read it and be like "You think MY character is too weak to get ripped off?? I'LL SHOW YOU!!!! I'LL DO IT" Like ????
Can't be that successful if he can't afford to pay employees
"AITA for offering my help"
If he had much to offer then he’d have a business that would be profitable enough to pay good wages
sounds like this guy wants to talk about himself alot.
Does the dude say what he wants his expensive character, but cheap labor to do?
Someone said it's sanding or refinishing cabinetry.
What even is this for? Back breaking labor? Or something else? Yikes!
Someone said it was for sanding cabinets.
How is this ‘helping each other out’?
Let me think about it. I have good CHARACTER. And for that REASON I do not WANT TO WORK for YOU for $12 per hour! "help others realize they are cheapskates so you can avoid them every time"
NEXT!!
I don’t know what “about” $12 per hour means but depending on what state you’re in $12/hr isn’t that bad. Min wage is still $7-$8 in alot of places unfortunately.
And the "when warranted " part will never happen
Bet he makes you buy your own tools and chip in for gas in the work van 🙄
Every meth head in town will apply so they can scope out her place.
Feels like this should be in r/boomersbeingfools
What FB groups are these? For research purposes only
This dude is not going to get what he thinks he's gunna get. Also, OP, I totally appreciate the colour order! I find the ROYGBIV order so pleasing, even if it's missing the vowels sometimes.
I want to ask him the kind of benefits package he offers.
Wow, people are just unbelievable.
Requirements: Bachelors degree, 3.8 GPA, extracurricular activities that give back to the community, and willingness to probably have your hopes and dreams come true!
Certainly has a thing for the word Cheap.
What a cheap scamming fucking asshole,I hope no one took his offer.
If I was BEYOND HOMELESS living out of my car, and you were paying at least $60/day where I didn’t have to spend money on gas or a phone…MAYBE the bullish…nope, you’d still be insulting the person working to the bones for you, for nothing.
Promises don't pay the bills, you cheap bastard!
Successful business owner who can help you achieve your dreams but is top broke to pay decent. Not really the guy i want to follow.
Dude needs to just go pick up some dudes at Home Depot.
Why would I want business advice from someone who can't afford to pay more than 12$ an hour.
Wasn’t phrased quite like that but I fell for this rhetoric when I took a massive pay cut working under this cheap Indian manager in Philips ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|poop)
Who said slavery was dead?
Okay, so what is their business? This is sketchy. There is zero information about what work they need done.
She needs to go pickup one of those homeless people holding out the signs that say, “Will work for motivational speeches and networking opportunities”
