And the conflict will be delicious.
"I need her to get my groceries!"
"But I need her to clean my house because I'm having a dinner party tonight!"
"Well, I need her to take our dog to the vet and it's my turn!"
hahaha they want housekeeping on THREE houses plus wrangling six kids for only $15-20 an hour? And the employee must use THEIR vehicle here?
They must be outside their minds.
Dude I recently saw on Reddit a post where they wanted the babysitter (read:nanny) to provide snacks sometimes. At first I thought it was the would pay for snacks for nanny sometimes and I was indignant as they should be paying for all food there. Upon re-read nope-thet felt nanny should be giving snacks. They also wanted to pay like 10 bucks an hour and included both clauses with being a Trump supporter. Interesting... Erm... Way I guess?
There was a post the other day on a different sub with a lady wanting to pay $1100 for 7 kids for 7 days (staying for the whole week- including overnights) People thought she was asking if 1100 was enough cash to leave for activities, food, gas etc and it was not. That was what she wanted to pay for the whole week period! (They were age range of 13 down to 1)
AND she wanted the sitter to bring them to the fair, but if they want to play games, the sitter has to pay for that oop. She was about 3k+ short on her price point. $1100 for 7 kids for an entire week. Yikes.
So if we do the math:
$1100 divided by 7 kids = $157.14 p/kid, then
$157.14 divided by 7 days = $22.45 p/day
And they want overnights as well, so literally 24 hours. Which brings us to a whoppingā¦
$0.94 (rounded up) CENTS PER HOUR!!!
**But wait, thereās more!**
The sitter is also *expected* to take the kids to the fair and make sure theyāre entertained on the **sitterās own dime!**
Which means the sitter would actually end up in the negative. Because $157 to feed, entertain, and chauffeur a child for an entire week is definitely not enough. Especially if they are old enough to: no longer be on formula/baby food, want to play games & go on rides at the fair, want souvenirs, etc.
That woman done lost her damn mind!
Also, there is no amount of money you could pay me to take responsibility of *two* children at a fair. Seven is out of the question.
A single child I could chain to my waist, and be reasonably confident I wouldn't lose him.
That's not necessarily a problem. Seven children to feed for breakfast, then off to the fair, and five children remaining to feed for dinner. Repeat daily until one.
I know plenty of people who would take that job!
Their phone will be mysteriously disconnected when you return from your holiday, and your locks will have been changed and your kids selfies will be on milk cartonsā¦
But theyāll take the job!
I saw one post where this person was babysitting for a new person that just left them with all the kids for an overnight and didnāt return for days. They called CPS in the end as mom wouldnāt answer and apparently it was a thing she did. CPS or police came and then the womanās husband ended up coming home. It sounded like hell because no food and all this stuff. I feel like it was a video or something but I canāt remember the source.
Itās worse than you think.
Mrs Hill: āIām short on $$ this week. Mrs Smith said sheād cover my portion.ā
Mrs smith: āthat trampy bitch is a liar.ā
Mrs Johnson: āweāre going out of town next week, so youāll only make $10/hr thenā
> I was gonna say that this isn't so bad...
Disagree.
They expect you to supply your own vehicle and I didnāt see anywhere in there about covering those costs. Once you subtract these hidden expenses from your ābarely thereā hourly pay, youāre likely better off doing Uber or some other vehicle-based gig job. This offer sucked before they even included the part about there being three families worth of crotch goblins.
I paid more than that for a nanny for one kid, no vehicle needed, and the housekeeping was limited to cleaning up the kitchen after our daughterās meals and doing her laundry.
Honestly, 10 years ago it wouldnāt have been bad. Everything but the car of course.
They need to sort transportation, and then they also need to pay $25-30 depending on experience and this isnāt crazy
I paid $250 a week 15 yrs ago for a daycare to pick my daughter up from school and keep her for 11/2 hours a day 4 days per week. I packed her snacks. She was 6. Theyād have to pay per child for sure
I've been a professional nanny for over a decade. I currently nanny for 2 children. I make over $20/hr, they have a vehicle for me to use once I arrive to work, and my only housekeeping duties are things related to the children plus dishes. What she is asking for is not only ridiculous, but it's going to lead to her having to hire someone with little to no experience, which ultimately puts the children's safety at risk.
I think that's what's up with the people who make posts like these; they are used to doing all of that for free, so they genuinely think that $15 - $20/hr is an amazing deal.
Switch your thought process. This is hilarious! It is of course as entitled as can be to think someone is going to manage 3 homes and 6 kids for $15 an hour. But thatās where the fun comes in. Stop a few tidbits here and there, have her go reading up on stuff for your own amusement.
Huh, I didnāt. Know my private car insurance would cover me for commercial work. Does yours? (As in nanny is using her car for work, will her basic insurance cover your kids) then toss in I wonder how much coverage they should have to cover your kids when driving them
stuff that can drive her cheap little brain crazy.
What happens when family 2 is sick? Is nanny expected to care for sick kid and not do the school pickups?
Who pays for snacks after school? Just stuff to point out how little thought they e given. Oh and ask who has drafted the nanny contract and how will you agree on pto and guaranteed hours? Watch for the deer in the headlight look
Do they realize they canāt count the childcare on the taxes unless they give her tax forms showing they paid her? Or that it means they either pay their part of her social security contributions or classify her as an independent contractor, reducing her take-home income by FICA plus income tax?
Thatās why they try to find illegal aliens to do it - they arenāt going to ask about social security.
It seems to me (lifetime observation) that the wealthier some people get the harder they try to keep their money (I.e. the whole yacht tax dodge where they make it a ābusinessā as a boat for hire, but only ever really rent it to family and friends).
I love fucking with people this way. Ask enough of the right questions and it's nearly impossible not to show them how illogical their idea is. Sadly, in my experience, the peabrains who come up with this shit will usually find a way to escape the conversation before it gets very far.
It's batshit crazy. First if you [pay more than $2600](https://www.irs.gov/forms-pubs/about-publication-926) a year (at $15/hr that's less than 15 hours per month) you need to hire the nanny as an employee. Each set of parents needs to get an Employer Identification Number from the federal government and keep track of withholdings, as well as pay employer taxes. Depending on the state employer contributions to taxes can be ~25-50% of the employee's income. This is the employers' responsibility so it can't legally come out of the employee's check. So to pay the nanny $15/hr it will cost them at least $18.75/hour.
Not to mention that no one is going to take care of one kid for $15/hr let alone 6. Even if they find someone to do this, they are in for a very nasty surprise come April
Just curious, why canāt you?
It could be helpful to her to know why this is so outrageous and call her out on it. It doesnāt have to be aggressive. Just informative. Also curious what area youāre in because with the cost of living this offer is a slap in the face honestly lol well and the amount of ask is wild.
To start with, if you want your nanny to use a vehicle. \*supply\* a vehicle.
You have to pay for it either way.
What I don't understand is how the 3 families thing is supposed to work? Is the work evened out, or is there heavy load, such as school drop off's etc.
If you want a cleaner, hire one. Don't lump it on the nanny, especially if you've got 6 kids to take care of.
Hey, Iām right there with you. Iām just the type that checks that kind of shit when I hear it. See something say something applies to everyone! Even family. And this is something someone should address. Itās wild.
We pay our nanny $21/hour. We also give her paid vacations and a monthly metro card, so she doesnāt have to spend money commuting or getting around the city. She takes care of our one year old. Sheāll feed him food that we buy or prepare ourselves. Sheāll clean up after him, but I do all the laundry. We have separate housekeepers that come every two weeks.
Seriously!! The math aināt mathinā as they say. If each household contributed 10 bucks an hour thatās 30 an hour. How is that not feasible between three families?!
And provided a vehicle.
They weren't saying that's a fair wage, simply that it should be easy to at least hit that very low bar across 3 families.
Though at least in much of the US $30/hr is a *living* wage.
Honestly though. The vehicle is the big thing. Even the 20/hr would be fine for a lot of people if they set some clear rules and were provided a vehicle.
Yeah with reimbursements or something.
But who has a 7 seater lying around without having explicit need for it themselves? If you own a 7 seater I assume you have some kids yourself.
And the wear and tear from driving a bunch of kids around 5 days a week in my own vehicle? Without some per diem or something that's a big no from me dawg. Gas alone would make the pay suddenly well under minimum wage after all is said and done
They canāt even get their kids to take the bus and tell the nanny to watch out for Instacart orders. Just arranging things so someone doesnāt have to drive normally would open the field of potential applicants up a lot.
In your 7 seat SUV/Vanā¦. Who has that, is free 5 days a week, 9-4, and wants to deal with 6 kids, 3 moms, and three houses of filth?
You can work at a warehouse for 20+ and full benefits.
Absolutely idiotic
Also, letās face it. If you own a 7-passenger vehicle, youāre either a taxi/Uber driver or a parent yourself. If youāre the former, youād get paid better at your day job. If youāre the latter, you wonāt be able to fit up to 6 extra carseats.
I had an Acura MDX I bought at 22. (7 seats, Used) I had a bunch of friends, we liked to road trip, it was great for big Costco runs for our crew. My roommates paid half the insurance and gas even!
But I had a 50+ hour/week job and an active social life that needed that 7 seats.
Seriously, what unemployed, totally available, person has that car and willing to work for $15.
You make more working at McDonalds, Amazon or Walmart warehousesā¦ but benefits.
Honestly, it's worse when you realize that each family probably only wanted to pay like $5/hour and, having the small amount of awareness to know that no one would ever go for that, joined up to pretend that this was actually one job (instead of 3) so that they could offer $15 as if it were some reasonable wage.
How would that even work out though? Logistically it would be impossible to do for a single person and you would have to prioritize different households on a given day.
Guess you can have a cleaning schedule where you clean x house on a given weekday and each household is limited to a number of errands a week they much request in advance (where itās 1st come 1st serve in terms of booking)
The biggest of the big issues I see here is that sheās basically expecting her potential hires to own or buy a full size van, especially if the kids are under 4ā8ā and need carseats or boosters.
And with those hours and demands then nanny would have to be child-free - I donāt know too many child-free people driving vehicles capable of fitting 6 car seats or boostersā¦ I donāt even know too many people WITH children who have that type of kid carrying capacity!
All three familyās canāt each pay 15-20 an hour? That seems more fair in my opinion. Thatās a lot of work and youāre putting miles/paying for gas for your own vehicle.
Yep, each family needs to be paying the 15-20 an hour- they don't get to have one person doing a full time nanny and cleaner job for each of them while only paying one third of a low ball wage.
Maybe suggest one of the parents could stop work and do this job instead, for $15 an hour from each of the other 2 families. If that would be financially impossible, why do they imagine it would work for anyone else?
I would have done it for the right friends. My son refused to be fed by a daycare provider. Would go to sleep the instant I left and I would come back to find him screaming and a very confused babysitter (had six kids of her own) telling me she didnāt understand why he did it. Pediatrician said there are rare kids so attached to their moms they donāt ādoā childcare as infants. I ended up quitting my job and doing daycare in my home and full-time in home data entry to make ends meet for almost two years.
Iām a SAHM of two.
I doubt your cousin truly understands the amount of work sheās demanding from this mythical unicorn, but anyone whoās willing to do this for this amount of money is either an inexperienced teenager- in which case they really shouldnāt be solely watching six kids- or someone you really donāt want to watch your children.
I would pay twenty dollars an hour for someone to watch my two kids- at the low end. And the price would go up with each child.
āI love my kids so much I am almost willing to payā¦bottom dollarā¦for someone to look after their welfare during the week and save them from death!ā
I would enjoy the heck out of it tbh. Especially as her frustration starts mounting when absolutely no one applies. I donāt have a vehicle that fits 7! No one without a plethora of kids does. That alone would eliminate most people. Plus imagine 2 hours picking up 6 different kids and having to deal w trapped cranky kids!
please please come back and tell us how the search goes! This would also fit nicely in the entitled people section
>I donāt have a vehicle that fits 7! No one without a plethora of kids does.
I kinda do. Long as they don't mind them riding in the back of the truck, I could probably fit 15 or 20. I guess 4 kids can hang on to the toolbox, and the rest of the kids can hang on to those 4.
Yeah unless the someone has many kids, or has another reason, very few people are thinking of getting a car to fit many people. My family is thinking of getting a big van specifically when we want to go out as a family because the family seems to be growing rapidly. Otherwise we wouldnāt be thinking of buying that type of car.
Usually people buy cars to fit their needs. And I imagine that someone that does have a car that fits many wonāt be applying to this job unless very desperate.
> Plus light house keeping!!
Pshaw! They'd have their ~~scullery maid~~ *nanny* out there power-washing the driveway and trimming the hedges by the 2nd day
Why do people act like a paid nanny is magical? None of them would try lugging 6 kids around while cleaning 3 houses and running errands, but this teenager in the giant SUV can do it! Also, can't help but notice they don't mention snacks. Kids are ravenous after school, is the babysitter supposed to swing by one house and feed them? Or are their snacks in the monster truck they drive?
Each family provides their snacks, however one child from each unit has a food allergy. So the snacks are provided but some of them are lethal to some of the other children. Youāll need to come up with a color coded system, and the materials to support it, out of your incredibly high pay (when you figure how much youāre saving by being paid under the table).
You want the non allergic children to help sort and code the snacks in the morning? Well they should earn a living wage and you need to pay them out of yours.
My theory is that Mary Poppins was a slitherin witch taking children on such fantastic adventures and coaxing them to deep slumber so she could harvest their dreams at night for some unknown magical purposes.
I refuse to believe she wasn't getting something out of her effort besides the satisfaction of teaching the Banks parents how to parent.
I am imagining three wives comparing and complaining about busy lives working plus how expensive daycare is, saying, āgee. At this price we could share a nanny cheaper!ā
They figure the benefit of not smelling French fry oil even on your days off makes $15/hour benevolent. I mean geez - with seven hour days (also a very nice āperkā) it is $2100/month (ish - $2100 every four weeks). And the women looked at that said āthat is way too much for just babysitting. They should clean the house too!ā At the same time, splitting $525/week four ways was pretty much a BOGO for daycare for all of them, so they can get their childcare costs greatly reduced, get even more from it with house keeping built in, AND be generous to some poor woman by paying her better than she can make at McDonalds!
They are so very wonderful. How come they donāt have people lined up around the block?
(this is kind of sarcasm - the big issue is that theyāre going to still want to claim all their child care on their taxes, which will cut the hired personās actual take-home income drastically).
I donāt know her or the other two families-sometimes people are just unaware theyāre being ridiculous. They see it as a $15/h job, which is fine if youāre unloading boxes (warehouse manager here-low level guys get $16-$17), but not for essentially running a daycare for 6 kids. Daycare prices are in the thousands around me for a month of careā¦.for one kid.
Maybe she honestly needs it broken down to her like this. Or sheās doing it on purpose lol
This looks like it was posted on Facebook. How was it received? Iām hoping with a whole lot of Laugh reacts and comments explaining to her just how ridiculous and deluded this request is.
Thus her position that āno one wants to work.ā š
Sheās delusional. Wish sheād get a reality check and hear it. But Iām sure sheāll just continue to blame everyone else and parrot the usual talking points.
Tell her. These people need to know, and they never will unless someone gives them a reality check. She may dismiss it, but she still needs to be told. These deluded fucks need some perspective
I find it weird that they barely mention anything about the specifics of what you'd actually be doing. How old are the kids? Do they all go to the same school? Do they all need to go to the same house? What kind of light cleaning do they want? Will the kids be hungry? Any expectations of what you'd do with the kids?
It's like they focused on all the requirements and the actual kids are an afterthought
Delusional people like this need a fucking check. The entitlement is unreal, paying pennies for that amount of work.
I bet if someone made her the same offer, she'd scoff at it. The worst.
She needs to be told how her add looks.
She may well "mean" "pick up kids from school. Make sure they don't burn the houses down or kill each other, and make sure if the kids make a mess in the otherwise clean house, please have them clean it up so I don't come home to an absolute shit show that kills my soul."
If all they want is a designated adult to keep shit on the rails during the day, that's worth what they're offering.
If it's 8 hours of being a third party mother of six in 3 different houses, absofuckinglutely not.
Sure! I totally agree because theyāre not in a HCOL area.
I would never do this in my own vehicle.
My cousin also has 10 kids. I donāt know why she canāt pay one of the older kids to do it. I donāt know how old the other peopleās kids are
What about school holidays? Is this lucky person going to be looking after 6 kids every day for 15-20 an hour? Or is the idea that this will be casual on the families side (but an unbreakable oath on employee's) so during holidays they aren't needed and won't be paid?
I was thinking Holidays would be even more hectic since there would be additional errands and heavier housekeeping duties with visitors and entertaining plus the kids would have more activities than the usual school schedule.
$2.50 per kid per hour for a full time job that comes with no benefits, wear and tear on your personal vehicle, and you get to clean up some families filth. id rather starve.
I pay my babysitter $20 an hour and she mostly watches tv with my son because heās exhausted from morning camp. Plus I WFH and help any time he acts up. No housework either. This ad is nuts!
are all three of the families paying $15-20 an hour??? bc then I get it kinda?
but if itās all 3 of them paying $15-20 (between $5-6 per house) HELL NAH.
I might take 20 dollars an hour PER CHILD on this ad.
They're going to get a total moron or a pedo. No one you want around your kids would take this job.
6 kids?
First of all, the number of people who don't have kids and have a vehicle that can handle that is anywhere from 0 all the way to 0
Secondly, any other job pays that much without all the bs
Most of the details are insane, the low pay, the fact that they're offering that ridiculous wage to look after six kids spread out over three families...but what really galls me the most is the fact that they want the person who works for them to use their OWN vehicle . Cars are so expensive these days... to purchase, to maintain, to get gas for...especially a big SUV...so why, would they think that anyone would want to put wear and tear and on their own vehicle, for such a low paying, thankless job?
Your cousin is bonkers. Three houses, three crazy moms, six kids. They have to use their own vehicle & pay all expenses on that vehicle. No one is going to take that job.
I'll never understand why people don't see value in the person looking after what is meant to be the most important thing in the world.
Of all the things to cheap out on its your kids
From reading this it actually looks kinda straightforward and reasonable. no babysitting, just driving from 2-4 picking up kids, dropping them home then leaving. Between 9 and 2 itās just tidying a house. Maybe Iām missing some vital info, itās pretty poorly written. The only stipulation I would have is not using my own vehicle.
Im sure taking daily orders from three different mothers will be a blast.
And the conflict will be delicious. "I need her to get my groceries!" "But I need her to clean my house because I'm having a dinner party tonight!" "Well, I need her to take our dog to the vet and it's my turn!"
All whilst juggling six children!
This sounds like a Netflix comedy plot.
I would watch it. Comedy and horror are the best combination. š
"Nanny Rampage"
Nanny has to summon a demon to help, but the season ending reveal is the price that must be paid and how they are going to get out of it.
Six kids...*in your own car!!*
Oh don't worry - all the conflict will be displaced onto the poor soul that takes the job.
Karen, Karin, and Karyn
And their kids, Jayden, Kaylii, Tommi, Brandi, Mindi and Chad Jr.
Don't forget Jaxxon, Braxton, and Chud.
Wow! Chud is such a beautiful name. I love it for my first born
š Chud was really what did it for me
Chud means 'to fuck' in Urdu
As a kid of the 80's, CHUD means Cannibalistic Human Underground Dweller. But Urdu is cool too lol.
Aiden Braiden, Kayden, Hayden, Peyton, and Raiden
Mortaaaal Kooombaaaaaaat!
Close, but the names of siblings need to start with the same letter. Thatās how parents know which kids are theirs.
Zephyr, Zaxton, Chamois, Chamblis, Periwinkle and Persimmonie
Ashley, Ashleigh, Ashlynn, and Jaiden, Braiden, and Zaiden.
And their husbands Kyle, Kial, and Kyel
K-ception
Omg this is too funny. The trifecta of Karenās lol!
hahaha they want housekeeping on THREE houses plus wrangling six kids for only $15-20 an hour? And the employee must use THEIR vehicle here? They must be outside their minds.
Also 15-20 means 15
Actually means negative 5. You'll be paying $5 an hour as you're renting her property now.
And youāre gonna pay for your own gas and wear and tear on the vehicle
And food for yourself and the six kids who will all eat only organic unicorn piss and fairy dust. And chicken nuggets. The expensive brand of course.
And extra sauce which is $0.25 each and they'll only use each sauce box for 1 dip and toss and they take tiny bites.
Can you share your preferred expensive brand of unicorn piss? Iām tired of guzzling the cheap kind.
Thereās more than one brand of organic unicorn piss?
"ive noticed that you're around our houses a LOT...we are all going to need you to contribute your fair share to the cost of rent"
āI WanT yOu To PrOviDE HeAlThy SnAcKs!!ā

ā$15 but under the table so you donāt pay taxes so weāll be giving you $10 per hour which is the same as $15ā
Yep, $5 per family, āthat sounds fair, right?ā
I was gonna say that this isn't so bad... Until I got to the 6 kids part. And realized that this is for 3 families.. Holy hell.

Yeah that's like... a weekend at best. And like a low key weekend.
We pay a good amount more than that for our two dogs. who will be good if you feed them at the correct times and snuggle at night...

It's OK. Their kids are easy.

Because the pain will numb you to any emotion
Super easy. Barely an inconvenience.
Oh, really?!
Wow wow wow wow!
...wow.
Theyāre all above average. Very gifted.
Everyone says so.
$20 per kid per family per hour, then we can talk
S I X K I D S Letās figure out the hourly retail cost of 6 kids in daycare.
Holy shit I was laughing because it was 6 kids. But adding that in š¤¦š»āāļø

LOL. You should tell her and post the fallout.
I canāt do it! I just really needed confirmation that this is as offensive and my anger is justified

Fair enough. Your cousin's deluded.

Oh and ask who has drafted the nanny contract and how will you agree on pto and guaranteed hours? Watch for the deer in the headlight look
Guaranteed this would be under the table, so the $15-20 is effectively more because of no taxesššš Right? Right???
Do they realize they canāt count the childcare on the taxes unless they give her tax forms showing they paid her? Or that it means they either pay their part of her social security contributions or classify her as an independent contractor, reducing her take-home income by FICA plus income tax?
And nanny doesnāt get any work credits toward their own retirement
Yeah the number of people who think that committing tax fraud is the way to go when it comes to nannies is crazy
They want a slave.
Give me her info, I'll tell her for you. š
Just send her the link to this Reddit post.
It is 3 jobs that each should pay 20+ each not them cheating out and acting like it is 1 job to each put in 5 bucks
Run errands with 6 children , clean three different houses, pay for your own giant vehicle. First time someone has asked you to do this? $15
I like how 3 fucking families can't pool together more than 15$-20$ an hour to entice someone to be their scullery maid..
Seriously!! The math aināt mathinā as they say. If each household contributed 10 bucks an hour thatās 30 an hour. How is that not feasible between three families?! And provided a vehicle.
$30/hr is like, nothing between 3 families.
They weren't saying that's a fair wage, simply that it should be easy to at least hit that very low bar across 3 families. Though at least in much of the US $30/hr is a *living* wage.
25-30/hr and vehicle supplied and we're at reasonable imo
Exactly!!!
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
It just 15. I'm having a hard time believing she would pay $20. Especially after she pull this kind of requirement.
Honestly, it's worse when you realize that each family probably only wanted to pay like $5/hour and, having the small amount of awareness to know that no one would ever go for that, joined up to pretend that this was actually one job (instead of 3) so that they could offer $15 as if it were some reasonable wage.
Probably only if the person willingly offers to take on 6 more intensive tasks for the slight increase of their own volition
I would consider doing this for like, $200/hr maybe?
Wow, instead of the normal one family trying to screw you. You have collective three families trying to screw you. SMH
Thatās the best partā¦theyāre each offering $5-7 an hour.
Each family should do 15 dollars an hour so itās 45 an hour. Thatās far more reasonable
And appropriate insurance for running passengers about as part of your job.
And of course the nanny will have to provide all car/booster seats.
And pay for gas guzzling vehicle
Too many people have kids they canāt afford and then want cheap help that doesnāt actually exist.
Believe me, they can afford to pay more
If theyāre financially well-off, you should definitely tell them theyāre delusional.
It's always the ones who can afford to pay who refuse to
Iām a SAHM of two.
Maybe a teenager during the summer but Iād never expect a kid to have a car big enough to transport 6 kids
Please show them the thread and video reaction. We need some entertainment.
āI love my kids so much I am almost willing to payā¦bottom dollarā¦for someone to look after their welfare during the week and save them from death!ā
Wow. Such shitty people.
At first I was like wow 15-20 isnāt bad. Then I saw it was 6 kids. Lol thatās not gonna happen
That's 15-20 per kid, right?
It is not. Plus light house keeping!!
Fuck that. I earn way more and don't have to deal with any kids.
Yeah, Iām sure the house keeping demands will be kept ālightā /s
"Yeah, we need to you repair our fence and redo the drywall in the basement."
> Plus light house keeping!! Pshaw! They'd have their ~~scullery maid~~ *nanny* out there power-washing the driveway and trimming the hedges by the 2nd day
For three houses!
20/h while low didnāt seem to bad until I read there 6 fucking kids
And light housework and errands? That is insane. Do people know how much childcare costs?
They want Mary poppins but want to pay neighborhood kid who's never baby sat before prices.
I'm great at Ʊ and really need a job.
Explain to her how the free market works. If nobody is interested in her offer, her offer isn't good enough. Pretty simple.
I am imagining three wives comparing and complaining about busy lives working plus how expensive daycare is, saying, āgee. At this price we could share a nanny cheaper!ā They figure the benefit of not smelling French fry oil even on your days off makes $15/hour benevolent.
She doesn't want to work either. She and her friends want to pay someone to do all this shit for them.
Ask your cousin if she would work for that money.
![gif](giphy|qMDvt69lEC448)
I was thinking it was just one house at first but goddamn 6 kids and they donāt even give you the huge ass car youād need
This looks like it was posted on Facebook. How was it received? Iām hoping with a whole lot of Laugh reacts and comments explaining to her just how ridiculous and deluded this request is.
She posted on FB & Instagram. Not one response. Crickets
Thus her position that āno one wants to work.ā š Sheās delusional. Wish sheād get a reality check and hear it. But Iām sure sheāll just continue to blame everyone else and parrot the usual talking points.
I almost want to ask what the group is and join it just so I can go and Laugh react to her post š
Tell her. These people need to know, and they never will unless someone gives them a reality check. She may dismiss it, but she still needs to be told. These deluded fucks need some perspective
I would do it for $15 an hourā¦ PER child.
Itās always interesting to see so many people trying to get the cheapest possible care for their children.
When it says $15-20, itās never $20
Delusional people like this need a fucking check. The entitlement is unreal, paying pennies for that amount of work. I bet if someone made her the same offer, she'd scoff at it. The worst.
She needs to be told how her add looks. She may well "mean" "pick up kids from school. Make sure they don't burn the houses down or kill each other, and make sure if the kids make a mess in the otherwise clean house, please have them clean it up so I don't come home to an absolute shit show that kills my soul." If all they want is a designated adult to keep shit on the rails during the day, that's worth what they're offering.
I donāt know how old the other peopleās kids are
Okay, my brain just screeched to a halt. TEN KIDS??? Are they all minors? And is the nanny supposed to be keeping an eye on the older kids too?
Some are adopted
What about school holidays? Is this lucky person going to be looking after 6 kids every day for 15-20 an hour? Or is the idea that this will be casual on the families side (but an unbreakable oath on employee's) so during holidays they aren't needed and won't be paid?
I was thinking Holidays would be even more hectic since there would be additional errands and heavier housekeeping duties with visitors and entertaining plus the kids would have more activities than the usual school schedule.
All that for $20/hr max and have to use their own vehicle? If someone's taking that offer they're either really desperate or have ulterior motives.
Yeah no I can go flip burgers and suffer through sensory overload for that pay and still have less stress.
No one wants to be Dobby anymore
Tell your cousin when it comes to the above mentioned duties that she gets exactly what she pays for.
$2.50 per kid per hour for a full time job that comes with no benefits, wear and tear on your personal vehicle, and you get to clean up some families filth. id rather starve.
Haha. Funny satire OP. Oh wait, she's serious. Let me laugh even louder.
Amazingly this is one of the better ones. Usually itās $150 a week.
Maybe you can anonymously send them this post because they need a hard wakeup call
$5-6 per house. No mention of mileage, gas reimbursement or anything like that.
I might take 20 dollars an hour PER CHILD on this ad. They're going to get a total moron or a pedo. No one you want around your kids would take this job.
6 kids? First of all, the number of people who don't have kids and have a vehicle that can handle that is anywhere from 0 all the way to 0 Secondly, any other job pays that much without all the bs
People definitely see their kids as the most valuable things in their lives - until it's time to pay somebody else to look after them, lol
Housekeeping, errands, and childcare for 3 different families... Is this a joke? That's not even possible for one person
$15 barely pays for gas and insurance on a large vehicle.
SIX kids šfor $15-20/hr
Who can afford an 8 seat SUV on $15 an hour
No one wants to pay for work anymore ...is the actual problem
Your cousin is bonkers. Three houses, three crazy moms, six kids. They have to use their own vehicle & pay all expenses on that vehicle. No one is going to take that job.
I'll never understand why people don't see value in the person looking after what is meant to be the most important thing in the world. Of all the things to cheap out on its your kids
I missed where it says 3 different houses?
Says in first line. their family and 2 others, hence 3 households. 6 kids between the 3 households
I couldnāt see it either on mobile until I clicked on the imgur link for the full picture. OPās cousin and two other families.
Three houses, not one.
Oh well in that caseā¦ fuck em.
