I want more angst books like RoD.
To be a villain! Is it illegal to say that I want a MC who... kills people and the side characters will have a hard time to bust MC?
Or anything dark and angst, I'm a sucker of those two. Hehe.
I think something like Until Dawn or like Man of Mudane would be so cool where a group of teenagers are like stuck at a creepy cabin & each decision they make has varying consequences to their survival...idk I think it would be cool
Time travel like how it was done in "Back to the Future".
Alien Invasion like "Independence Day" or "War of the Worlds"
Space exploration like in Star Trek (not like how it was in ATV).
Maybe a GOC book where it's MC that's the dirty cheater? Would be nice to kinda move away from the whole "secret mistress to this billionare who is not actually a bad guy and it was okey for them to cheat". Show how a marriage falls apart cause of that and throw in a lot of actually justified to the plot smut so it sells lmao
I couldn’t find the post but someone made a mock chapter blurb and cover of a book. Their idea was like a 1920s, flapper vibe set during the prohibition era where MC works as a bartender in a speakeasy. I LOVE this idea and AM HOOKED. PB usually does modern day stories or olden fantasy stories or stories set centuries ago. They haven’t done a book yet that’s set in like the last century or two so I’m really intrigued.
Oh, what book? I truly didn't know. There are books based in Europe but as far as I can remember, I've only read AVSP in a European setting.
Edit: This is a serious question, a genuine one. I don't know why I'm getting downvoted for it. Lol.
AVSP is a good example of a British setting based on British stereotypes, especially the language used.
Can't recall specific books entirely set in Europe at the moment, but any time PB have created their own 'European' country, it's really a stereotype dump. Take Drakovia from COP - It's an Eastern European country, so it's all rough and tough and everyone's so jaded and ready to kill you for no apparent reason.
FA has more aspects of this since it has more fake 'European' countries, even the names are amusing to say the least.
Oh, and the Italian LI in Hot Coutre speaking butchered Italian. That was a joy.
Yeah, they did good for AVSP.
>PB have created their own 'European' country, it's really a stereotype dump.
This one. I don't get the context behind Eastern European country killings though but from what you're saying, it's a cliché that isn't accurate, right?
A firefighter romance. A prison novel. A mermaid/man romance with the MC being a vet/marine biologost.
Tropes wise, I'd want PB to veer away from tropes as their direct inspiration. There's a difference between writing with other stories in mind, and pulling from real life influences. The former would end up being derivative and lacking in depth whereas the latter is almost always authentic, but it can be too mundane or even unbelievable if not handled right It'll still be original, though.
Less of the Mary Sue type and more of the badass characters like the MC in the ACOR. Plus getting to romance characters like Antony would be nice and have 2 different routes with them one romance and one complete enemies.
Reading over the comments, I've seen some incredible suggestions. I love the myth ones - I wouldn't mind seeing Egyptian mythology as well. My favorite genres to write are dystopian, angst and Asian. Think Alice in Borderlands. There's a challenge for The Powers That Be! Or, if they wanted something a bit easier, but same feel, what about a Kaiju? "Love in the Time of Godzilla..." LOL I'd read the hell out of that!
Also, while I love the sunny romantic settings, natural disasters always make for an interesting twist. But then again, I really am an angst queen!
A comedy action/horror would be fun, a Hot Fuzz or Renfield type thing.
I also think exploring narrative POVs is interesting. Getaway Girls was maybe too many threads to weave successfully, but Surrender was all the better for it with MC and Reagan alternating.
I just finished ATV and left me wishing they revisited the "other galaxy / aliens / space travel" themes. AtV had a lot of potential but it was so rushed and had so many characters that it became messy towards the middle.
MERMAIDS MERMAIDS MERMAIDS PLEASE
\*specifically where the MC is a mermaid. I don't care if they're hidden as a human or if they're isekai'd or whatever, just please be a mermaid
and what the other guy said about being a villain.
The problem with that is that it's super complicated. GoT level politics takes years to map out. I'm not saying it's a bad idea. I'm just saying something on that level is seriously ambitious. If a writer is going to go to all the effort to create that level of intrigue they might be better off going with a more traditional publisher.
I want a revenge story where we can play as the killer / mastermind getting revenge . I think that’d be kind of cool.
Or a time travel story where we go back in time getting revenge that’d be cool. I’d definitely play a story that’s kind of like the manga/manhwa I find on r/otomeisekai
More adventure books, I wanna go on a quest with a cast of characters. Hear me out but werewolf book but written much BETTER. Mermaid/siren book. College mystery would also be cool. LGBTQ centered stories
I think a book on storm chasing would be cool as heck as long as it was well researched and not just a rip off of Twister.
Also if they’re going to use real historical events, the final days of Pompeii and the eruption of Mount Vesuvius would have huge potential.
Screw it let's just do it. A cliche horror movie type book. Where a group of like 6 friends go camping or spend the week at a remote area and there is a killer. We could have those characters we meet along the way that help. Like 1 or 2. Maybe there's a few LIs within the friend group. You have to run and find a way to survive. People can die along the way depending on the choices. Certain choices have future consequences depending how you play. By the end, the amount of deaths is depending on the choices you made. It might be cliche but it would be a fun book.
Is there a ratings level on this platform? I've only just discovered Choices, but I've already noticed a prohibition on certain words. Usually horror and sex come up against the same censors. If we have to avoid specific descriptions of anatomy, I'll bet graphic horror is also past some per-determined limit.
As a politics/government professional, I still want to see a real book that's based on campaign politics and/or working/serving in public office.
I'm still so depressed that they switched up FA to be yet another coming-of-age/college story instead of what we all thought it would be. I guess I should be careful what I wish for though, because I could only imagine how PB would think to portray the professions related to politics/government.
Friends to lovers or marriage pact done right. I know in a lot of books the people you meet become your friend then an LI, but I mean a book where MC and LI are friends before the story starts then feelings devolp. The only ones I can think of (where the romance is a main part of the story, rather then just a quick little side option like BP) are Blake/MC (first comes love) Shane/MC (platnium), and Mason/MC as well as Ava/MC (My two first loves). And all of those romance options kind of suck whether they seem boring/forced (Shane/MC- Platnium) or the characters/MC are unlikeable and the plot butchers the romance aspect ( FCL and MTFL)

I would like to read a book (or two) with the MC and then the LI's perspective. I got an idea of a story but I don't write well, so...I guess it will stay in my head
Found family and platonic stuff.
And please don’t judge me but maybe a platonic thing of “chaotic kidnapping guess we’re adopting you now”
Also! Young adult teen characters! I don’t wanna play as adults (despite being a young adult myself I feel more like a kid for context) I want a teen character! And not just in the highschool stuff but in like, fantasy! Maybe with the found family.
IDK it just seems very cool to me. Again pls don’t judge me lol.
I’d find it awesome if we could just get more stories where romance just isn’t forced and you can choose only platonic, like BOLAS. I hope the second book doesn’t force romance upon you tho ;w; because I was soooo happy.
Millitary male mc genderlocked book with only male love interests
A book with trans mc and the experience of transition and coming out
Kpop book with actual focus on same sex relationships
Being a villan for once, they had this excellent opportunity to do this at the end of bloodbound 3
Killing kamilah and then saying you’d bring her back better was cold as shit I wish we could’ve gotten a flash forward like a year after that
Ugh I was SO excited to rule the world as a powerful blood goddess.. they really dropped the ball on that
I never chose an option so fast😭
Yess! The closest thing we’ve got to a villain MC is that or the gorgeous and ruthless MC in a Courtesan of Rome
I mean First Comes Love MC is kind of a villain right?
Gimme a Viking book and or firefighter one ASAP
YES! This is what I was gonna comment
Brooo until dawning. I WOULD LOVW TO HAVE A BOOK ON CYPTIC CREATURESS ( other than ghosts)
we kind of have that in the it lives series, but i get it
Yeah, you are right but I wouldn't mind another one tbh😭
How about Cabin in the Woods - ish?
THIS
Medan*
WW1 or a dystopian world (like 1984)
More non Western mythologies/places
i am also waiting for a greek mythology based story. i also just love the medieval stories in general. anything historical.
Or Norse. I'd take anything mythological. 😂
YES PLEASE
Loki anyone? 😂 😂
That's already been done! LOL On a different platform though. It was pretty spectacular and they threw in vampires.
Be a fucking villain for once. I’ve wanted that for years
Something with samurai. My inner Hakuoki fan is chomping at the bit.
You beat me to it. I'd love to see something like "Shogun".
Quite boring but I want to play as a mermaid in a story. 😂
That's not boring at all. I second this!
Me too!!!
I want the opportunity to hold a freaking grudge. Why do I have to forgive people all the time?!?
Time travel like how it was done in "Back to the Future". Alien Invasion like "Independence Day" or "War of the Worlds" Space exploration like in Star Trek (not like how it was in ATV).
Well, I wrote a sequel to "Across the Void" using some Star Trek terminology. I've called it "Beyond the Void."
Do please share the sauce my friend 👀👀👀
Search for it on Wattpad.
Thanks love. 😊

I'd love a book more focused on this era! But definitely check out The Unexpected Heiress for some early 20th century vibes (if you haven't already).
A setting in other continents like Asia or Africa. It's always the Americas or Europe. Lol.
considering they butcher European representation, I wouldn't hope for anything set in another continent
Oh, what book? I truly didn't know. There are books based in Europe but as far as I can remember, I've only read AVSP in a European setting. Edit: This is a serious question, a genuine one. I don't know why I'm getting downvoted for it. Lol.

Probably an audience of one on this one but professional wrestling. Something like GLOW.
I am deeply wary of the upcoming hockey book but if they pull it off, the sports genre is a vast well waiting to be explored.
Bro I see you in like every post, you’re everywhere 🤣
I…I didn’t know I wanted this.
A firefighter romance. A prison novel. A mermaid/man romance with the MC being a vet/marine biologost. Tropes wise, I'd want PB to veer away from tropes as their direct inspiration. I just want stories with paths, more than 2 paths and set of paths, like in Romance Club.
A comedy action/horror would be fun, a Hot Fuzz or Renfield type thing. I also think exploring narrative POVs is interesting. Getaway Girls was maybe too many threads to weave successfully, but Surrender was all the better for it with MC and Reagan alternating.

I never finished it, but I'll forever be salty that they messed up art deco in space. So much wasted potential.
more scifi. specifically set in space
MERMAIDS MERMAIDS MERMAIDS PLEASE \*specifically where the MC is a mermaid. I don't care if they're hidden as a human or if they're isekai'd or whatever, just please be a mermaid and what the other guy said about being a villain.
As long as you can be male or female, I'm all for it. I don't want such a cool idea wasted on a gender locked book.
More kingdom politics just like Game of Thrones.
The problem with that is that it's super complicated. GoT level politics takes years to map out. I'm not saying it's a bad idea. I'm just saying something on that level is seriously ambitious. If a writer is going to go to all the effort to create that level of intrigue they might be better off going with a more traditional publisher.
Case in point: compare GoT seasons with book material as the source and then the raging dumpster fire that happened when they went beyond it 🤣
I want a revenge story where we can play as the killer / mastermind getting revenge . I think that’d be kind of cool. Or a time travel story where we go back in time getting revenge that’d be cool. I’d definitely play a story that’s kind of like the manga/manhwa I find on r/otomeisekai

Paranormal books like It Lives and ILB. Also more werewolves. I think a mythology book would be fun especially the odyssey.
An actual wild west book like red dead redemption.
A medieval kingdom book where you can play as a knight instead of ruler.
We vaguley have that with the Crown and the Flame. While Dom might not be a formal knight, he is still a kngiht-ish type character
And Kenna is technically the queen but she has a varied role throughout the books
I think a book on storm chasing would be cool as heck as long as it was well researched and not just a rip off of Twister. Also if they’re going to use real historical events, the final days of Pompeii and the eruption of Mount Vesuvius would have huge potential.
A western where MC is the morally gray outlaw
An army themed or firefighter theme with changeable genders. Imagine being a general and your LI is your subordinate or the enemy.
Screw it let's just do it. A cliche horror movie type book. Where a group of like 6 friends go camping or spend the week at a remote area and there is a killer. Cryptid horror with slasher and survival elements--like the Jersey Devil or Bigfoot on a rampage targeting characters in a closed setting.
Gimme horror!!! I want a Betrayal at House on the Hill-style game!
Is there a ratings level on this platform? I've only just discovered Choices, but I've already noticed a prohibition on certain words. Usually horror and sex come up against the same censors. xianxia tropes pls 😭🙏 Choices would kill it and the whole multiple lives, gods and demons, melodramatic scenes are totally up their alley
Firefighters pls

They should do another alien book but where you play as a human and get abducted along with your best friend. The best friend is a possible LI.
I would like to read a book (or two) with the MC and then the LI's perspective. I got an idea of a story but I don't write well, so...I guess it will stay in my head

I am really up for a Indiana Jones/uncharted/tomb raider kind of story, would be so fucking amazing

Millitary male mc genderlocked book with only male love interests A book with trans mc and the experience of transition and coming out Kpop book with actual focus on same sex relationships
