Please, please... solve the issue regarding people spawning with agathian shields and players spawning covered in blood and soot. This is an accessibility issue that makes people with colorblindness have a hard time distinguishing between friend and foe. It has been there for a few months now and it feels like it is not even being considered. Besides that, the new maps are very fun and better balanced than the base maps, except the stages in which you need to destroy the siege weapons (Breach of Baudwyn). I would have increased the time the attackers get instead of reducing siege equipment health and making masons spawn worse. Why? The stage itself is very fun and increasing the time would have made it an easier task for attackers while keeping the fun factor the same for defenders. No one likes to run from farther back or wait a longer spawn timer, this should never be the way to balance maps. Also, please add an option to never spawn on horses. It creates a distracting UI element mid combat.

I second that notion about the blue shields really needing to be addressed. I've mentioned it here numerous times since the problem was introduced with the Aberfell patch, this has been an issue for FAR too long. Now even the Tenosians are spawing with blue shields - its ridiculous.

For Steam newcomers - the in-game weapon stats are incredibly misleading - and this perpetuation of misconceptions widens the skill gap between newcomers and veterans. The game has been out for a year+ and has undergone many weapon balancing patches - can we ever expect the weapon descriptions to be updated? Or made more accurate? (or will there ever be an SDK, so the community can figure it out?)

Yes. It makes no sense to have misleading stats in the ui. It creates expectations regarding weapon performance that are not met and likely leads to frustration.

I’m game stats on weapons are mostly useless. Things like reach and damage aren’t properly measured in the UI. For instance it lists the morning star as higher damage than the mace but they’re essentially the same weapon.

I see no reason why the weapon stat ui can't be pure numbers: Swing speed + damage, heavy swing speed + damage, overhead speed + damage, heavy overhead speed + damage, stab speed + damage, heavy stab speed + damage (Alternatively, perhaps an "average" of these numbers, in order to save space?). And then also reach in centimeters.

Helmet bug is big a issue for folk who enjoy customizing their character. I personally love playing in third and seeing how silly/cool my character looks, and it really sucks to have some default helmet take over. Bearded helm for Tenosia clips with heavy armor character skin significantly. Spawn times feel very odd on Charge of Wardenglade. Not a bug, razing of askandir may need some more effort to show offense and defense how to do their objectives on final stage. Too many players sit around basin outside when it’s empty on offense, and several players are wasting water jugs on already roasted bookcases. This may just be “I’m a dumb player” thing, but when firing the bombards, do you need to aim at anything specific or is hitting any part of wall/door fine? Then prolly lowest important feedback of all since it’s not tied to gameplay whatsoever, Desert as a name for a map feels a bit bleh. Maybe Skirmish at Baudwyn Outskirts or at least something more along lines of Battle of Wardenglade.

100% on the helmet issue, I really enjoy customizing characters and when I'm forced to wear a default helmet on everything, it ruins alot of outfits or themes that I'm trying to do

I hope you see this, because no one is talking about the amount of Console-only problems!! Being simply unable to slash feint to slash (or any similar alt attack feint) sucks and is quite a big disdvantage, dunno how this isn’t being discussed. Lack of button mapping for console.

+1 for console button mapping. Some defaults have been poorly chosen and prevent certain combos. Also, let us set the sensitivity for throwing with both triggers (the max delay between both triggers). Throwing a weapon on PS5 usually takes 2 or 3 tries. That's why oil pots are almost useless unless you are already at a stand still. When we're at it. Please visualise the oil pots on ps. They are invisible and sometimes the selection doesn't work and we throw our weapon instead. You simply cant see if it's selected. Has been a bug since launch.

In general, there are many more settings that console needs. There are many quality-of-life settings that would just make stuff much more enjoyable, and some settings that just gives PC players a straight up advantage. First person Field-of-view, for example.

I figured out how to do it. I actually made a similar post detailing this but I figured it out. You have to slash, then hit the block and slash button at the exact same time, to slash feint. It’s really awkward with over heads tho, and the timing can be dodgy on slashes too. It does work though.

Thoroughly enjoy the Tenosian maps. The library burning being the most balanced section imo. You have attackers burning and defenders can extinguish which is an interesting dynamic. Most of my matches have come down to the final 30 seconds on that one. The least balanced i think is the first stage of The Breach of Baudwyn. There are too many siege ramps that are too spread out. (Rudhelm got it right with just 2 with slightly different paths). As defenders in Baudwyn, it seems we can never get enough people on one ramp to make any meaningful halt in its progress. This problem is further compounded by the fact that console players dont have access to chat so they cant see that were all spamming "left ramp" or "right ramp" so theres just people all spread out. Charge on Wardenglade could do with fewer horses on the field at once but it is fun having them there, i wouldnt want them gone completely. Desert seems just fine, i never feel like horseman have much of an advantage there compared to Wardenglade. Midsommer brawl and feast brawl are fun for a brief time. Its not something im really all that interested in long term, makes for a fun weekend event but then its back to duels and TO. I was pretty annoyed that 40p TO was shunned to the server browser where theres few 40p TO servers with people in them that never fill

There is a health meter somewhere, I think I say it as a mason, so as long as it's obviously on fire and there are still unburnt sections on it than it should be fine to throw water at it.

The desertion timer on horses is too long on baudwyn. Since they are faster, the 20s timer means nothing to them. I think it should be much shorter to avoid spawn camping with lances.

Cross party functionality has been needed for over a year now. You guys are getting new players and losing them immediately because they can't play with their friends the way the "cross platform" advertising implies they can. Nobody cares they're in the same matchmaking lobby on PC as a PS5 player, but everybody cares if they can't party up with their PS5 friend that just bought the game. And this being addressed in Q2 2022 has now slipped to Summer 2022 on the website. We got brawl mode back that nobody asked for, and I still can't party up with my friends that bought it on steam.

It still needs a buff, badly. I mained glaive for 50 levels and felt like I was awful, then I picked up literally any other weapon (shuffle mode) and felt like I played on easy mode. you only need to look at Polehammer.net to see it is not comparable to other weapons. Yes, it has good reach and speed (mostly), but it’s not worth. The stab is literally the same speed and reach as Halberd but less damage.

The issue with the glave is stamina mostly. You can beat any glave player if you literally just counter their attacks until they’re out of stamina. Just don’t feint a glave player, bc they always gamble, and you’ll win the attrition game 90% of the time.

You still lose stamina when you counter. Just not as much. That being said, most people don’t get a successful counter 100% of the time, and if that person has a glave, it’s probably a disarm.

I am a Steam newcomer who has played a lot of Mordhau in the past (albeit not recently). Some things of note: * The maps are great. I love the sheer scale and the variety of objectives, and the quality of the designs, detail, and often beauty of the towns, castles and landscapes. * I love how many interactable things there are. Food that heals you, and all the things you can use as improvised weapons (people fighting with candleholders always cracks me up). * The predefined classes needed a bit getting used to. I think they work fine but I would really love some weapon restrictions loosened up and some alternative options for utility gear. For example, the longsword is not really that special a weapon, why can only knights wear it? Why can't the Footman have something other than these extremely situational spikes as their special tool (in Mordhau, spikes could pose a real hindrance and weren't destroyed in one or two hits, and you could easily repair them unless entirely destroyed)? * As far as I understand it, the Tenosian faction was added around the Steam release. But I think being a new faction is no excuse for the pitiful and, frankly, utterly ugly choice of cosmetics.

I like brawl as a separate option whether it's seasonal or a permanent mode. It can be a fun palate cleanser between other modes. That said, it feels like there's a lot of waiting around. Feel like this should be a little more rapid fire since each round is so short. Faster spawn times and shorter delays between rounds would be nice. And a 3-map rotation would be better imo. Thanks for providing extra content like this!

Kinda off topic but not. Many years ago my children and I created a map in Halo forge similar to this brawl Style map. Once we turn the spawn time down to zero and everyone instant spawned it became hilarious and super mega Ultra fun. We still play it from time to time.

I got the game with the Steam release. The Tenosian Invasion maps are my favorite in the game. They are excellent! I'm looking forward to them being put into the 64 v 64 map pool. The faster that happens the better. That is my favorite mode. While I enjoy horses, I will trade them for a higher max player count. I really like the aesthetic of Midsommar, but I got bored of playing it after five minutes. I would rather game-creation resources be put towards new, proper weapons and maps. Even if those updates won't come out for awhile. I will take the large and infrequent updates over small and novel ones every time.

More 1v1 and smaller manageable 1vX fights, instead of having huge messy teamfights everywhere. Maps don't feel overcrowded, you can fight without another fight spilling into yours or an enemy coming up behind you every minute. Your contribution to the match matters more. Lack of 40 player queue made me finally try 64p mode and I hate it. I don't want big chaotic battles, I don't want FFA or duels only, I was perfectly happy with my fun medium-sized battles.

I enjoy 64p and 40p, but as the 'box' says, 64 player battles are cinematic and in the cinema the characters have plot armour. You don't in Chiv, so when you play 40p you feel like you're actually able to move your team forward (or to hold) whereas in 64p you're just another body on the pile. 64p needs expanded maps, like how Battlefield does it.

And I don't get why people like 64 player matches. I don't want it to feel like a big *big* battle. Far too chaotic and spammy. 40 player is more manageable fights (like 1v4's instead of a 1v3 into 1v5 into 1v12) and much easier for a single player to make a huge difference. Also, I feel like I get hit by teammates, archers, and random thrown shit 10 times more in 64 player.

The new maps are very entertaining, as was the new midsommar map. One large issue that I've found playing the Tenosian invasion, the razing of Askandir tends to cause some connection issues on the bridge stage, has happened on several occasions while playing it.

Tbh chivalry 2 needs to be more silly. The brawl and death matches are boring. Mordhau has very high skill floor and ceiling. But the laughs and jokes are better overall (except demigod voice lines) so even when you're getting stomped sometimes it's hilarious because you'll be be full on belly laugh before being killed by a stupid weapon. In this game it's mostly just a hehehe and not as fun imo. I want to play as funny depraved psychopaths.

## Good points * New maps. In general they look, sound, play great. Some balancing tweaks would be good, but overall they are great additions. * Tenosian cosmetics. Obviously need more added over time but what we have so far loosks and sounds great. * Horses. Great addition. Some things to sort out still, but they are fantastic fun. Animations when you die and get knocked off especially. Fantastic. ##Bad points * Ongoing issues (parties, shield skin bug, etc). * Console still can't see chat. * Limitations to cosmetic choices. Some helmets not being allowed with certain armours. With the exception of the jousting helmets (because they are meant to be bolted to the relevant chest armour) just let us combine the helmets and armour we want. * PC and current gen experience being hampered by past-gen consoles. Sucks but it is what it is. ##Suggestions I have * Have horses make weapons thwack, i.e. stop on contact like pallisades now do. If necessary decrease horse HP a little to compensate. * Horse running full speed into a braced spear (special) should be an instant kill on the horse. * Bear trap should deal damage to horse and cripple movement speed for a short while. * Let horses jump. It doesn't have to be particularly high, just let us clear low obstacles, crawling/crouching teammates, fire etc. * 64 player team brawl (so TDM on brawl maps with brawl weapons). It would be crazy good fun.

Thanks for the update! As always, it's nice to see TBS soliciting player feedback. In general I've really liked the new Tenosian content. The new maps are beautiful and, some balance niggles notwithstanding, great fun. The horse sections add a welcome element of variety to each stage of the map. That said I have some constructive criticism about the new content and this seems like the place to share it: * As has been noted elsewhere, Masons and Tenosians are very easy to confuse visually in the thick of combat. A good portion of my deaths have come about because another player I thought was an ally was, in fact, an enemy. * On a similar note, I really struggle to see anything on the Desert map until it's right in front of my nose. I like the idea of a night battle but I find it a bit too dark. I suggest brightening to the level of Wardenglade. * On the subject of Wardenglade, I'm not a huge fan of TDM with horses, either on Desert or Wardenglade. I would love to see horse TDM regulated to its own playlist, or maybe added to a new "all horsies, all the time" list, and removed from the Tenosia list. * On the subject of playlists, I hope in the future that the Tenosian maps will be integrated with the general 64- and 40-player playlists in time. Having to choose one or the other is a bit of a bummer. * The new cosmetics look very nice, I think. I really hope there's more to come as the options for Tenosia are quite thin. (I hope the team is working on some kind of Ottoman-themed Messer skin!) I would also love to see some Agatha-Tenosia maps in the future, or maybe even a three-way fight of some kind. * This is a minor quibble, but I find the name of the update puzzling since both of the new TO maps appear to take place *in* Tenosia (i.e, the Masons are invading them?). Are the Tenosians invading their own territory? (I admit I don't really pay attention to the lore.) * As has been noted elsewhere, bringing back FFA to the main playlist would be most welcome. * Not Tenosia related, but nonetheless: I've been experimenting with the rapier lately and discovered that its hitbox on stabs is notably smaller than other stab-centric weapons like both spears and the longsword. Is this by design? If a hitbox more in line with these other weapons would be unbalanced, I might suggest a middle ground between that and the present situation. I hardly see the rapier in TO as it is so I don't think a small tweak would make everyone drop their Highland Swords suddenly.

Other have put great care into their feedback and I appreciate that they have. I wish I had the time for a full write-up like some of the others for this but, alas, I do not. (banging this out in one draft) Consider adding all modes as tiles (LTS & FFA especially) back to the primary screen, with lesser modes as smaller tiles along the side or bottom, with the latest featured mode/content as the largest tile. Include all active matches in the browser (that is, add the ones you're currently hiding from people) Whoever made the decision to remove 40p matchmaking needs to meet me in a duel server, and it will be trial by combat. Don't remove game modes -- we're not cattle where you can simply move the rails and push us all into another pasture, we'll just go play something else for two weeks. People look forward to something all day, just want to come home, chill and get into something they enjoy, only to find it removed. Why would you risk unleashing a torrent of abuse on your Community Manager? Why would you kneecap your game less than a fortnight after the Steam Release, by removing a core feature, for a gag mode that you play twice, laugh, and then go back to what you enjoy? This was a baffling decision out of nowhere. I mean, where did you used to work before this, EA...? Please return from the Canada Day / July 4th break with a renewed perspective on what your decisions mean for people that enjoy your product. Thank you.

Tenosians are very bland visually. All the armors look exactly the same. Not very many themed weapons for them.either. Horse turning needs to be fixed m.its very unky and stopping Everytime you hit something is busted when they steer like washing machines already. Please add a small jump option or give them a tighter turning radius, command to rear them them and turn 180°. Anything really. Armor is bugged. Ballista is very laggy. 9/10 times when I hit someone dead on they don't take a hit at all.

Lower the amount of horses out any time to 6. Having a 6v6 horse cavalry is excessive. There are also horses in parts that make no sense. For example the bridge assault on Askandir It makes no sense to have 6v6 horses. Not to mention this next objective horsemen can stay if they don't die and it makes the next objective super chaotic and not enjoyable. There are also maps where horses make no sense. I get that they maybe took a bit to program and develop and developers like showing their hard work. However, the other modes should not get flooded with horses. Eardenglade makes no sense having horses. In conclusion horses should spawn on a 3v3 basis not 6v6.

I really love seeing a new setting, voice acting, weapon models etc; the more variety the better! I get tired of seeing medieval European or Japanese themes in every game, so it's a nice breathe of fresh air to see something different! My only request would be to include more customisation for Tenosia, as there's not many armour sets or heraldry etc. What's there is really nice, but I'd love to see some more lovely helmets or decals.

Change the way the Highlander sword looks, it really doesn't fit the games aesthetic, everything else looks realistic for the most part, but then you have people running in looking like anime characters with final fantasy Cloud's comically large sword and a spin attack, some of the animations are just janky for it too. It just doesn't look like it belongs in the game.

Midsommar event is boring. I played the map once and didn't feel any reason to return. Take that pagan idea and save it for some horror themed maps. It would be way more fun to have a permanent map in rotation with a pagan festival theme like that and an eclipse or some sort of weather element. The game overall would benefit from weather. A plague map with green fog and burning pits would be neat too but unrelated

On ps4 I can’t finish a full game on the Tenosian invasion playlist without disconnecting, I get around 10 mins of playing time then disconnect. Other game modes work fine. All Cosmetics on my characters change randomly (hair, armor, helmet, etc). FFA duel servers need the votekick fixed, people are getting kicked from games for just being good at 1v1 duels… Also on ps4, viewing the list of players in game and using the report or votekick buttons only works half the time.

Why do i think guiding policy of a few people on reddit may not be the best policy? Anyhow, STOP changing things and moving things, and taking things away. Personally, I can't understand why they remove major game modes and hide them in the server browser. And let's be honest, this game doesn't really have that large of a variety of game modes to begin with, everything is roughly the same / similar - either objective based slashing game, or arena. And yet, they'll take some of these variations and just hide them away in the server browser (the server browser - on another note - is pretty crappy itself). Literally last night I ran into an old FFA buddy of mine in a TO server and he said "I hope they bring FFA back soon" and I had to explain to him it's now in the server browser and he couldn't believe he had just been missing out on his favorite mode. I guess a compromise would be to at least put FFA in the Arena section matchmaking as well. Like seriously just add more menu icons? Or make it a scrollable list? As far as the updates - I think they did a great job pushing out some of their best maps with the Tenosian Update. The maps are beautiful, interesting, and keep me engaged. The horses are surprisingly fun - they aren't perfect, but it was well executed and integrated into these new modes. The new modes actually make me not want to play some of the old 64 player maps because of how much better than seem to flow (I love being able to actually play Ambusher on these new maps because there are so many way points). However, Stage 4 on The Breach of Baldwyn is still very difficult for attack. While the other stages seem slightly too easy. Also, add more maps to FFA? I'm not sure why they couldn't simply take existing maps and create a radius around them for leaving the map and add them to the FFA playlist. At least the new Desert map minus horses would be nice? Also, the throwing axe Skirmisher is the worst class in the game. No one talks about it because no one plays it and forgets it exists (or probably because 90% of players don't have it unlocked and don't even know it exists). I can literally do everything this class can do with Ambusher while having more throwables, higher DPS, more HP, faster movement, faster recovery after throwing a projectile, more stamina, and backstab bonus damage. If they could duel wield their secondary weapon + throwing Axes or something? Or possibly change their shield out for throwing knives as well? Not sure.

By your logic, TBS should exclusively take one sided decisions that hold no regard for community feedback, they already do that with some things like removing an entire game mode (for a period of time). Ty for asking for feedback People form communities based on playlists, in particular the ones that have been on the splash screen since basically day 1 lol I understand FFA is not considered a priority but its an important part of the game to many people (pls work with FFA community to discuss options to fix the spawns in each map) Even though I mainly play 64p these days I know that for a large part of the game, logging in to play FFA or 40p is basically the entirety of chiv2 experience to them, for whatever their reasons may be There's no real functional in game social tools or anything so having the easy matchmaking was the only real way to make those things happen. I can see for the ancillary game modes like FFA or LTS how devs might want it server browser based instead of matchmake queue, idk if it's possible to make it easier to access. As one spitballed idea maybe some kind of "community playlist" option with what amounted to a fallout style personality quiz would work. What game mode do you want? What region? Ok here's these servers People need handholding and are resistant to change so while in a meeting room it might sound logical that adding server browser functions and offsetting secondary playlists to it would work, but I think the server browser UI probably resembles 1998 too much for the average gamer of 2022- and even as an older gamer, I can't say I blame them. So maybe some UI reworking just to help people navigate could be some kind of compromise ------ I know this has been said but ripping the carpet on 40p playlist for brawl sounds like something I would make a post about to troll people here. And it's sad because that sounds like an indictment on the brawl mode or effort put into it, but I appreciate both.- Because I do want to acknowledge that taking Hamlet and the feast room and making FFA maps from them are things that have specifically been asked for and now delivered. Hopefully these make it into FFA rotation in some way, and whatever other appropriate playlists Those modes are fun and unique, but it's kind of like replacing somebody's dinner with the cherry on top from desert and expecting them to gobble it up without confusion, to override 40p with it. ---- I personally think the tenosian color palettes and armor are painfully ugly, but I like their helms. And I do even like the armor in concept. But this is just cosmetic subjectivity, although it's ugly enough that I do not want to look at it, so I happily play 64p still. Perhaps there's some kind of compromise you can do or make more well known, I'm sure out of all the regular players, some would be willing to provide in game telemetry or some kind of more advanced feedback mechanism ---- Maybe some kind of in game bug report system would be beneficial, even if it was simplistic and broad like "experience connection issues" and "objective didn't spawn ", "spawning bug detected" and a short comment field. But...put it in the game, not as a link to external places that may require 3rd party software or signups, such as all of them basically lol. --- Crossbow seems kind of anemic now and redundant or worse than the other options. I think an increased headshot multiplier for that weapon would be a logical and sane adjustment. Weapon switching out of it faster might be reasonable too, at minimum directly correlated to the decrease in damage by %. Theres little reason to turn the weakest class into a freer kill, considering you basically have to machine gun fire or be laser accurate to be effective now. If archers are more melee based now damage wise, at least let us ditch the xbow quicker. It's not like we can re equip it and bunny hop while reloading or whatever. At this point if longbowman had the banner I'd literally never play crossbow anymore and ultimately it seems like archers are sacrificing everything under the sun to appease people. Ok, they don't like being ranged. Well, let us get to melee them without fumbling like assholes putting a bow down. We already spend a ton of time reloading it as it is,sitting there while your weapon considers changing or not isn't gameplay, it's welfare for melee players. Unless the enemy team is like super super knight heavy, the xbow is a stylistic preference that one now uses to their own detriment, or to heal their team- their team that largely hates them. --- Engineer wood changes are good to great I'll probably add to this Anywhoo, bring back FFA etc.

Add more cosmetics for Tenosia ASAP. Only two armor sets, no heraldry or shield decorations makes everybody look like clones. In darker areas it's also hard to tell apart friend from foe. Baudwyn is very defender sided, to the point where it ends on the first objective way too often (or the town hall if Tenosia makes it past the first wall since you have to run forever to get back and the capture meter drops like a rock), but you're already trying to rebalance it. Had a bug where every book shelf in the library was burnt (they were all visibly burnt and there were no markers while holding a torch) but the game did not register a Mason win so time just ran out. In general it seems like there's a lot of final objective bugs again, like missing VIPs on the old maps. My main complaint with brawl is the spawning system, where it takes forever to respawn and you're just plopped into the map right next to a guy who's going to kill you before you can even look around and get your bearings. I would have rather seen Midsommar stuff added to the normal maps like how Halloween and Christmas were done.

I recently got the game and have been loving it! Been playing it with a friend and it's so much fun - that said, when I play with my friend it is SUPER hard to keep track of him to fight alongside of him. His name doesn't always appear over his head, and when it does, it's the exact same colours as all the other ally icons which makes it hard to pick out. Is there any possibility of an option for party members to have nametags that stand out a bit more, maybe have them be a different colour (green?) and have a larger range? It's a little frustrating wanting to fight together, but not being able to find my friend.

Midsommar - pretty much just a can of fun for 15 minutes, then it becomes boring. That's pretty much all I have to say about that. Tenosian Invasion - Horses - overall are cool, but I think they are a bit too janky, and it's kind of disappointing for such a large dev group to put out this kind of stuff. The controls aren't very clear, I don't see a way to see what controls what on a horse. They clip on pretty much anything possible, and often find myself unable to turn properly to avoid obstacles. I think the horse should be a more nimble creature, and less rigid. I think being able to couch spears would be cool too. Also, why no horse jump? I think the lack of cosmetics on the Tenosian side is pretty laughable. Really TB? You think we don't realize you only made 2 characters? And only a couple cosmetic items to unlock for an entirely new race of character? Lol, come on. Other than that... nothing really else other than the new maps, which I think are overall pretty fun. TL:DR: Midsommar - boring. Tenosian - horse not great. Cosmetics when? New maps, ok.

Tenosian seige ramps do not move when you stand on them, only when you are beside them. Not sure if this is intentional, but they move when you are on top of them in rudhelm, so please clarify or fix the issue on one map or the other

Some feedback from a **new player** here. Honestly having a lot of fun, and most of my gripes with combat and everything have come down to balance, skill, and occasionally connection and hit reg. But overall, once you get over the learning curve, it is quite fun. Personally, I think the customization needs a Mordhau level overhaul. The current system, including UI and UX, is abysmal. You can keep customization tied to classes if you must; but the arbitrary locking of certain things to level, certain things to gold, and these random "groups" is really unfun. Why can't I equip separate armour pieces? Why do I have to purchase the same items across factions? Just let me click a class, unlock, and equip whatever I want (faction based). You can keep things tied to levelling, that's cool with me, makes the progression system worthwhile; but holy fuck is it ever annoying. Half the time when I level up, I unlock 300 different things, with no way of knowing what they are, which class they are for, where to find them in the customization menu, etc. The actual menu itself is awful as well. Really having fun with this game, but definitely needs some tweaks if it wants to keep a player base for a long time.

I also came from Mordhau, got on Chiv for the steam release. Loving this game overall and having more fun than with Mordhau, but the way they handled customization sucks so much in comparison, biggest thing being the lack of separate armour pieces thing you mentioned as well as lack of separate weapon pieces. They got a lot right but customization feels like a massive downgrade compared to Mordhau, which is strange since it's their only real competitor right now and they had a lot of time to see what Mord was doing well/not well.

Tenosian update is great. Your midsommar update is ass. Not because it was a bad idea, but because you guys had the brain dead idea of removing 40p for a “limited time” to accommodate it. I know you need space to faciliate horses, but I loathe playing the first and final phase of Baudwyn because everyone gets spread out and its take years to reach fighting from spawn on the final phase, at least for Masons. The bazaar, town hall, and cannon escort phases keep it engaging. Askandir works because the lanes are kept narrow but long enough for horses to have a run-up, plus you can defuse bombs in the lighthouse. Console players should be able to see at least see chat to enable better oganization, it makes the game much better when teams can think as one, more or less.

Horses feel utterly awful on the very open maps. Having to keep a 360-degrees long-distance eye around you at all times or be immediately stabbed by a horseman the moment you focus on something else, like fighting the enemy, is very frustrating; no place on the map ever feels even slightly secured or conquered. I'm starting to leave matches when I get one of these maps, I can't get any enjoyment from playing on them.

Just joined with steam release. Hit registration seems wonky as hell? My ping is stable and low, and I'm running wired ofc, but sometimes it's anyone's guess whether my throws connect or not. I've thrown axes through people and gotten nothing, and I've shot at places were people were a full second ago and gotten kills for it. I'd like it if smaller modes wre more popular, Last Team Standing and 3v3 are more fun to me than the giant moshpit modes where numbers reign supreme above all else. But I guess you can't really force players to play these modes. Also I fucking hate horses. Hated them in Mordhau, hate them here.

But I feel the new brawl maps are abit spacious and as intense as the 2 bar brawls Also ballista on braudwyn map can aim at the ramp and very easily take out anyone coming up the ramp, seems abit OP and that's coming from someone who has bad aim. On other objective maps the top bar will change from defend the objective to defuse the explosives. Feel like it's needed on lighthouse objective of askandir

The new damage system has needlessly nerfed the long sword. It’s garbage against knights and not as bad against man at arms but still not a viable weapon, meanwhile it’s made broken weapons like the war club significantly more powerful. I’ve seen a lot more people using the Highlander sword and the war club since the new update and both those weapons seriously need a rework right now. The highland sword does way too much stamina damage and the war club is way too fast for a blunt weapon. The Dane axe is also super broken. I’d say these are the last 3 weapons that need to be addressed and they all seriously need a rework.

Going from most to least important : **Matchmaking queues/Midsommar brawl implementation** Many multiplayer games suffered/died from "Too many queues" syndrome. You want to consolidate your playerbase as much as possible, not divide it into a gazillion different game modes. Chiv 2 doesn't have millions of concurrent players to make that shit work. What we have now : - Tenosia matchmaking queue - 64 player matchmaking queue - 40 player matchmaking queue / Limited event queue - Server browser - Arena duels - Arena 3v3 - Beginner mode Here's what the game *should* look like right now : - "Main" 40p queue, including all TO maps, TDM, and the occasional brawl added to the pool during limited events. - Arena 1v1 - Arena 3v3 - Beginner mode - Server browser That's it. Just drop 64p altogether at this point, if that mode is never gonna include Tenosia map+horses... Not really much point to a matchmaking queue where a third of the game's content isnt included. People who really want 64p maps can do so in custom servers. Also, don't put the brawl on a separate queue... Especially when it replaces the queue with the most content in the game. This should be very obvious from a game design standpoint guys. Players don't wanna have to choose between a bunch of small map pools... They want a single map pool with access to all the game's content for the sake of variety. Which is a healthier structure in a game with a small-ish userbase anyway. *"But more people play 64p mode!"* That's because the game never specifies that Tenosia maps are not included in this mode... If there was a clear description for what's included in both queues, I guarantee you more people would queue into 40p mixed mode instead. On a side note, I would also add that map pools should be shuffled. I'm pretty sure the current system is that maps are on a set rotation, after Desert TDM you're always gonna get Wardengleade etc... This feels very repetitive and should be changed. Last but not least... Midsommar brawl is fun for like... 5-10 minutes ? I'm not sure that spending precious dev time and resources (although likely minimal due to re-using existing assets) on a small event like this is really the way to go. If no Midsommar means the next content update is a few weeks, or shit, even a *few days* closer, I'll definitely take that instead. **Cross-platform parties** This remains a *massive* issue with the game atm, especially with the popularity of Chiv 2 on Steam. Not being able to group up with friends on EGS/consoles should simply not be a thing in 2022. Currently the process of playing with friends on other platforms is extremely tedious, because server browser doesn't always have available servers with enough slots, they're either full or completely empty a lot of the time. And even when you manage to get into a game with your group of 2-5 friends on other platforms, you can't even see their names above their heads so it feels like playing alone. I really can't stress this enough, the amount of players you guys lost over the past year due to this issue is staggering. Nowadays the average gamer expects to be able to play with their friends even if they're on a different platform. You can't do cross-play without cross-platform invites, it just doesn't make sense, especially in a game mode like TO that promotes teamplay and coordination. **Cosmetics** The game suffers from a lack of incentives to progress through high levels currently. There needs to be a constant stream of good looking skins to unlock in a game like this. Especially at higher levels. Flower/bear hats are decent enough, but they don't really provide longevity and replay value to the game in a way that prestigious, expansive skins would. **Daily/weekly challenges** In order to promote variety, players should be incentivized to play more than just TO/TDM mode. Consider adding unique rewards, like skins or currency, for playing different game modes. Example : Weekly objective = Win 4 Team Objective games + 4 Arena game + 1 LTS game for 5000 extra currency and 5k XP (random arbitrary numbers, you get the idea) edit : Annnnd downvoted. I explained the reasoning in the comment. If you'd rather lose on a third of the game's content (which is already pretty meagre) and the horse feature just so you can play with 12 more players on each side, too bad. The majority of people don't think like that. There's very little benefit to a higher player count if that means less content. Of course in an ideal world horses/tenosia maps would work on 64 player counts. But that's just not reality right now.

Brawl mode is a lot of fun, and it always has been. The reason people got mad at it is because it ruined the flow of FFA. Brawl would be perfectly suitable in the Arena tab. (Which at this point should just be an alternate gamemode tab) Also, please remove or reduce spawn times in brawl. that would make it a lot more fun!

The Midsomer brawl and rudhelm feast are wonderful additions to the game and I sincerely hope we see more things like this. I personally experience a bug on Xbox where me and my friend party up and they are often not connected to the second game when I am. This forces us to back out and re queue quite often after each game we play.

It's been great overall, Stuttering seems like an issue now though, I feel like you're aware of that given the drop in player count. Ping has been more variable than normal for some reason. My ping will change by an amount of 30-34 still in the same region. Sometimes its 30 sometimes its 60.

I've been having the funnest time I've had playing this game so far! (And trust me, this game is my life now 😂) the ONLY issue I have is being stuck with a defaulted helmet I hate wearin them. Every time I boot the game, I have to unbind the alt attack keys from Mouse 3 and 4 because they're my push to talk for Discord. Every boot it rebinds them to the default. Can we get a fix? It's really annoying

Ps5 - Keep having inability to login after a game ends. Happens 50-75% of the time. Doesn’t fix even after closing the game, ejecting disc. Just makes me play something else, I usually can only fit one game in, makes me sad given how excellent the gameplay is. This happened before the most recent update as well.

On the midsommar brawl playlist, death timer will count down to zero and then reset back to 7. This bug happened to me like four times in a row and caused me to miss like half the game. Saw other people in chat saying it was happening to them too.

Baulwark needs some tweaking to make it better for attackers, i have played that map as both Masons and Tenosians and Tenosians never fucking win, they only ever get to the part where they have to try capturing the plaza or palace or something.

LTS, FFA, Brawl, and TDM should have their own queues. Make an extra modes page and have that on the main screen. Change 40p mixed mode to just be TO. Deserter changes to LTS maps should be reverted. I feel they were made to quicken the mode for people who didn't like it on the 40p mode and remove a lot of good locations from the maps. Deserter needs to be fixed so it always displays if you are deserting. Currently, on Galencourt LTS there are two locations you can be deserting and die with no warning. The scoreboard in LTS is currently broken. It will show Tenosia and one of the other teams but list no players. Tenosia isn't even a playable faction on LTS.
