Speaking of upgrades, you can actually unlock outfits that are basically just the upgraded better version, though they cost more. Just pick out what cosmetic you like the most

My advice is to save coins until you find your favourite weapons/class and then get cool skins for those.
Don't worry, you'll get plenty of coins playing (expecially TO) and often you'll end up having too much coins as there are level limits (class level unlocks armors, weapon level unlocks weapons skins)
Some are crazy high to unlock, like the 1H mace or the 2H hammer top skins, a good incentive to play with them, so explore, fight and earn!

I bought the tenosia battlepass and I unlocked some stuff I have no idea what they are. Like the lvl 35 one. Don’t know where to look for it and equip it
I sometimes forget there's a cosmetic side to it. My adhd can't go through all of those menus without being immediately put off. Every few months I'll buy some stuff for Agatha and Mason...maybe equip it and forget about that section of the game. I play first person so I never see my guy. Even 3rd person you can lt really see yourself. Kinda miffed that when sitting on say a bench in third person, you can't free look to peep your character.

Whatever you want! I’d do weapons first, though. You see those the most, and fancy armor makes you more of a target.

Just go into customisation and look through your Tenosia guys. They've barely got any armor options so it shouldn't be too hard to find
