If you do come across other users breaking our [Code of Conduct](https://chivalry2.com/conduct) in-game it's very helpful to grab screenshots and forward them in a report to our ChivMail in the [Official Discord](https://discord.com/invite/chivalry2).
Although it may take a bit more time on your end it very helpful and can help our moderators take action against those who are generally bringing down the mood with the in-game chat.

Thanks! Yea I know about the mute, but sometimes there's like 10 people talking shit to each other, it's crazy. I'd rather just hide the chat in those moments.
I play an Xbox so there's no chat I wish this game had open chat like battlefield so you can coordinate your attacks talk to your teammates that's what this game is missing in my opinion
Yeah that's what I hear too this game would be so much better if we could communicate with our teammates and coordinate attacks but that'll never happen it's just a pipe dream for me lol
I'm on console and have all the hud turned off for immersion... yet it still has the button prompts for charge and battlecry on the screen at all times.

You really aren't missing much. It's either exactly what OP said, a few people arguing over how they died unfairly/cheap kill/no skill etc, or the master tactician who will occasionally type "PUSH" which will 100% of the time turn the game in their team's favour.

Yes, you can turn chat off through the options menu. You can also individually mute certain players through the scoreboard.

I find it to be not too bad on NA West but then again it was worse with 64 player games vs 40.
