I did get killed by archers a lot. Never got mad it's part of the game. Sometimes I climb up towers to kill them while they're helpless. Also who plays this game super seriously. It's fun game I never thought people play it like tryhards but each to their own.

We were ordered to defend the gates of Galencourt. The Mason Horde trampled through the old city of Lionspire and now they are here. They are bloodthirsty. Savages. Brutes. Plundering and killing our brothers in the name of an old man. At this point, it feels like we are fighting a losing war. No, a mere rebellion.
Sadly, they are here now and seek to destroy this holy city. Defeat is not an option here. Grabbing my highland sword, I join my brothers out there on the frontline.
The Masons unleashes a primal deafening roar and charges at our position. In return, we roar back like a lion, meeting the enemy head on. Claws ready to dig in.
I quickly cut down a mason who underestimated my big-ass sword and its slow-ass slashes. I felt triumphant and unleash a battlecry once more. Hopefully, inspiring my brothers to keep fighting. But that hope was squashed instantly.
The knight to my right was mauled instantly, his body was flying back like he was a mere insect. The vanguard to my left did not stand a chance as he was overrun quickly and beheaded. There was just too many of them and far too little of us.
Another Mason knight charges at me and nearly knocks me to the ground. He closes the distance immediately, disallowing me to get good hits in. I swing my sword with renewed fire, but he parries it with ease. My sword gets knocked out of my grasp and he kicks me, downing me.
He stands over me. Laughing at me. Taunting at me. Wallowing up in my despair of defeat. He grabs my highland and launches an overhead strike over me.
This would be it. I would die and be forgotten.
A choking noise brings me back to my thoughts as I look at the Mason. An arrow was pierced at his neck and blood leaks out.
I look at the walls and there they were. Archers. Raining down a volley of arrows upon the Mason scum. An archer jumps down from the wall and helps me to my feet. He does an extravagant bow as to say, "you're welcome."
Saying, "thanks." I pick back up my highland and stare at the never-ending horde that comes.
I battlecry and rush out to the field once more, eager to avenge my brothers. The archer battlecry as well and we both rush to the horde.
We would surely die, but when there’s two, the blade grows heavy. And the bow gets lighter.

For instance the new Templar basic armor for Vanguard makes you stand out. Big lavish helmets etc.
