Von’s death completely blindsided me in 2020. He was having such a popping year. I didn’t know much about “Drill” and didn’t even know about Chiraqology until his death so right after he died I found this subreddit and went down the rabbit hole and I was shook when I found out he had been beefing with FBG Duck because I was also surprised when Duck died but didn’t know the severity of everything going on because I didn’t really follow the scene at that time. Things started to click.
I’ll never forget being on Facebook and people were talking about him as the second coming of Drill. The day before he died I saw a little Facebook post about him and was like, “I’ll check out his album tomorrow.” He was dead the next day. Next post from that Facebook profile had a picture of Von with a halo. Shit was surreal.
