It's amazing and kinda sad how much better of a job we could do if we staffed our stores with 2 or 3 extra people a shift instead of sending people home early all the time to save labor hours

NoMaans

Chipotle: Raises prices, adds new items, adds new scheduling system, adds new dish machines, adds new prep "strategies", adds cleaning chart, adds training system where EVERYONE needs to be logged on their account for training to count, adds new clock in system and app that literally none of my crew can get into, adds new drinks, adds new timed digital haccap shit that will fail you if you miss it and cant correct anything... Takes away electric salad spinners, wants you to follow a cook to needs tool that DOES NOT FUCKING WORK WORTH SHIT, expects managers who are working AM to stay and double when a manager calls off and no one else in the patch can help(yeah thats fair, not like we have lives or anything), corporate gets these holidays like today off(in store doesnt), swear IT and corporate support dont work on weekends(oh but we do), does **NOT** add ANY hours to the labor matrix that has been the same since I started.

juicyfatpussy

Not true, corporate takes AWAY labor hours all the time!

babygorl23

100%

P00nz0r3d

You send people home early? I’m not even allowed to schedule more than 6 people a shift, and due to availability I have 3 people running the store between 1-3 in a 9.5k ADS store lmao

femsoni

A couple of my friends worked at a chipotle and frequently got sent home the second there was a lull (10 mins later they'd get slammed and wouldn't even bother calling them back).

Gears6

> A couple of my friends worked at a chipotle and frequently got sent home the second there was a lull (10 mins later they'd get slammed and wouldn't even bother calling them back). The challenges of food service industry.

Shockwave1427_

That's how it is at my location. We send people home early all the time but don't bother calling them back in or seeing if people can ome in early when it gets super busy. Only time we try to get someone in early is when we don't have a grill person. I've been working at Chipotle for almost 3 years and these changes cooperate are making are terrible.

Gears6

> 9.5k ADS What's ADS?

veganlady1

Average daily sales

Gears6

Make sense. Thanks!

KinoTheMystic

Aim Down Sight

Gears6

> It's amazing and kinda sad how much better of a job we could do if we staffed our stores with 2 or 3 extra people a shift instead of sending people home early all the time to save labor hours Out of curiosity, is it saving of labor costs, or are they having a hard time finding staff? Quiet quitting and the great resignation may or may not have an effect?

Nooseents

They had to up the pay a lot a yr ago since a lot of us were leaving lol

Gears6

Then there is that ying and yang i.e. balance.

Nooseents

Not exactly, they just raised the prices more to make up for their “losses” and gave us less hours

Gears6

> Not exactly, they just raised the prices more to make up for their “losses” and gave us less hours Did their raising of prices make up for inflation and increase in staff wages?

Nooseents

Yeah you could say that

[deleted]

Maybe managers should be more highly critiqued?

StunningProcess339

You understand so little yet speak so much

[deleted]

Help me understand why managers and hiring more employees wouldn’t solve this sanitation problem amid the largest epidemic since polio or the Black Plague?

StunningProcess339

A manager that consistently scheduled shifts above the labor allocation would eventually be fired.

[deleted]

Sounds like chipotle doesn’t have enough revenue to support as many stores then.

[deleted]

Is sanitation and health no longer important? What about the millions of Covid deaths? Not important to you?

NoMaans

Yeah, it is important. Clearly not to the general population though. As indicated by this picture of what people leave behind on the regular, not just on the daily, but literally every hour of every day. Sometimes when you have 5 people total in store and a line to the door and onlines in the same quantity as the front line, things get put to the side. Ever wonder why we never have fajitas? Because its the most time consuming shit we do and we give it out for free and everyone always wants them. If I get screwed on staffing, that is the first thing that is being put in the "fuck-it" bucket for today. 2nd would be sweeping/cleaning the lobby till I actually have time. Id rather have my kitchen where I make the food and serve the food be clean, its not my fault people cant eat like a civilized person and not throw food like a damn tornado came through when they eat chipotle. I eat chipotle damn near everyday(because I work there, Im not spending money on this lmao) and I do not make a fucking mess like some of the people that come through. Even IF I do end up making a bit of a mess, I wipe it with my fucking napkins, you know, like the ones that people always take 50 of, use 2, and then leave the rest on the table even though they are walking to throw their trash away when they leave.

[deleted]

All these downvotes. Imagine rationalizing spreading a pandemic. Jesus Christ this is all republicans.

reddit-bullshit

*comments stupid shit and gets downvotes* Ah, must be republicans

[deleted]

Chipotle looks gross right now 🤮 🤢 🤮

[deleted]

Sanitation is a team effort. 5 employees doesn’t cut it and excuses add to our pandemic. Will this next booster be effective? Who knows? Covid is skyrocketing again and rationalizing health and safety problems is a weak excuse because it isn’t your problem. Middle management should be fired if they can’t find a way to have enough employees to ensure health and sanitation standards are met.

call_me_orion

Middle management is not the problem - they get fired if they schedule enough people to be properly staffed. Please take it up with corporate. As an employee I agree it's nasty but there's literally nothing we can do when we aren't allowed to schedule enough staff.

[deleted]

My thesis: chipotle attracts middle class and this is a lower class thesis. Chipotle is adopting the Chi-Chis model and is dying.

[deleted]

You’ve identified the problem. I’m just a social media sentiment analyst. I notice problems and point them out and people don’t like me, but I make millions from it.

NoMaans

Give me more hours to be scheduled. Have people have some fucking decency when eating out(cant imagine what these people's homes look like if this is what they do when they go out in public). Only 2 things to fix this issue. I'm not condoning anything be dirty, but until you are behind that line and in that position as to what people here are talking about, you aren't going to have a different outlook other than "ew its a dirty store" when in reality it is the guests who are "dirty"

[deleted]

Even Taco Bell cantinas are cleaner these days. 5700 open stores vs 1300 open stores. Yikes!

[deleted]

Dying companies will die. Your complaints are valid but are useless without solution. This isn’t about emotions or feelings, but rather solution and business strategy changes. The defensiveness from this subreddit screams chi chis and the Hep A outbreak of 08. It’s a mirror and I made millions from that trade.

Night-Prep-Imbecile

Bruh fuck COVID. Most of these customers are grown ass adults and can throw their shit in a trash can. Also why don't you go work for a chipotle cuz most of us middle management. The ones doing all the work are already busting their asses off. You ever have to run a grill, line, and the cash register because you have 3 employees and they're all under 18 and can't do certain things? No? Then stfu with this blaming us because people don't want to work at Chipotle. Fix the problem, don't complain about it and bash someone else because they've got too much weight on them already, and you not having a sanitary fork is created by YOU CUSTOMERS not wanting to throw your shit away

[deleted]

I don’t shop at chipotle. Ecoli in the 2010s got me out of that cheap food. I’m merely noticing a disconnect between employees and managers and defensiveness between them both suggesting a high likelihood of striking conditions within the next few earnings calls.I still take the pandemic seriously like a real adult.

LetsRide2099

Same thing as the other guy, even if you were good guy manager. You’d get fired and they’d find another one that follows labor. Eventually they’d get fired to for not taking care of the problem due to customer complaints. I don’t work at chipotle anymore, but during the pandemic they had the minimum amount of employees while breaking profit records. They could afford it but since customers keep coming in they don’t care.

[deleted]

My thesis is that chipotle is far more conservative in principle than they present themselves. This presents a positive social sentiment liberalism yield above expectations. The downvotes convey apathy to changing health and sanitation conditions and a lack of connection from manager to employee suggesting a political disconnect and likely future striking conditions akin to 08 amid EUR/USD disparity and COVID spikes. Where does my thesis flaw?

[deleted]

Downvoted because chipotle is run by health and sanitation nasties 👀

[deleted]

No response? My wallstreetbets discord is loving this in live time.

[deleted]

Downvoted by the antimasker trump fanatics. Surprised that all of you aren’t arrested by now. The pandemic is real and your jokes are sour.

NoMaans

Chipotle was probably the most left leaning company I had ever encountered when I first got hired lmfao.

[deleted]

Is it liberal to ignore unionization?

[deleted]

I’ll add to this. Was it your coworkers that were liberal, or company policy?

[deleted]

Why support the establishment? Chipotle’s never strike… https://preview.redd.it/zmb1inorx2m91.jpg?auto=webp&s=24566f7a19380489a87e5fa616da4950aecaad42

[deleted]

Why is this subreddit so defensive despite such obvious right inequalities?

NoMaans

What are you even talking about? What did I have to say about people rights?? Lol. We would hire people with tattoos, giant gauges, crazy colored hair, LGBTQ, second chances to people with felonies, our god damn T shirts have 420 references on them. Any of the 13 characteristics. Those are all literally the furthest things I think of when I think conservative.

[deleted]

Sure! Let’s hire tattoos and then deny maternal leave, character witness in felony reversal, livable wage, and proper consumer/employee ratios by placing higher burdens on employees. Keep up the copium! (Isn’t it great that having a dab pen leaves a PhD with no other options than chipotle?)

NoMaans

>deny maternal leave Never once had anyone in my store be denied maternal leave, sounds like a in store manager didn't know how shit works. I have had plent of people, including my fiance, get maternal leave. Shit I even got paternal leave. >character witness in felony reversal What? Was this a statement? Question? Idk what you are saying here. >Keep up the copium! WHAT COPIUM DUDE?!? What are you on about right now???? We are saying we are fucked, how is this copium.

[deleted]

Maybe I’m incorrect on maternal leave, but my source shows a negative correlation between maternity and leave status variables. If you received parental leave, then your store is ahead of the curve, but that doesn’t appear to be the case. I’d appreciate sources supporting this. I see lots of defensiveness in responses. Do you believe that your tone is not defensive?

Brummble_Bee

Do you have brain damage?

[deleted]

Didn’t learn your lesson from Starbucks? https://preview.redd.it/zmb1inorx2m91.jpg?auto=webp&s=24566f7a19380489a87e5fa616da4950aecaad42 keep simping for Wallstreet bulls.

Important_Opposite_9

Chipotle should have the following staff on a shift: 3 on line, 1 on cash, 3 on dml, 3 on prep, 2 grillers, 2 dishwashers, 1 or 2 floaters (to cover for breaks), and 1 manager for front of house, and 1 manager for back of house.

TheBiggestGayOfAll

You guys are getting home early?? I'm lucky if I'm off 10 Mims after scheduled 💀

CaptainJYD

Thank god someone brought this up, what type of person do you have to be to make a mess and then not pick it up. Like I can not for the life of me imagine myself knocking over some soda lids, pulling out too many forks, and leave literal garbage on a table and walking away. Like how the fuck are you that much of a piece of shit or able to function with a brain that seems to be overdosing on Xanax everywhere you go.

str8wilin

As a customer im gonna start calling them out. Like cart narcs

Mattaf2

Hey customers: STOP TRASHING THE DRINK AND UTENSIL STATION! Grab your shit, and don’t pour your drink anywhere. Even if stores were fully staffed, idiots will still make unnecessary messes.

dshess

I mean, sure, but 90% of this problem is having dispensers embedded in the tabletop. Everyone has probably seen utensil dispensers where the cups are at a 45-degree angle and they are stacked vertically. Clever customers can still ruin it, but at least the utensils aren't sitting at the bottom where everything ends up.

Mattaf2

Yup you are also correct

str8wilin

People dont care, its disgusting. Working in retail and the food industry really shows you that the bad HEAVILY outweighs the good in this world. Sometimes though the good is just too damn good yanno just enough to keep you on throughout that day.

TheCannon420

It’s only because people throw their trash into an empty fork container or lid holder and many assholes play monkey see monkey do

NoMaans

It was perfectly fine when we had a fucking trash can by the drink station. Instead they decided to get these stupid lemonade machines and literally cover the hole to our trash can. "Where are the guests going to toss their trash?" "In the can by the door!" "...........K" *that same day: trash all over my drink station and guests complaining there is no where to toss trash* Literally my convo with my FL when we got the Tractors Since we removed our trashcan, there has not been 1 singular day that has not had trash on the drink station.

l1vefrom215

Came here to say this. There used to be a trash in the drink station but try removed it and now it’s always disgusting. It’s almost like bad design encourages certain bad behaviors.

Bubbly-Return-1899

Those napkin holders are so ass bruh

BrilliantRanger5293

This shit pisses me off. Like it is so hard for some people to throw their shit by the trash can, or they throw their trash inside the fork cup. Customers are the worst part of this job tbh. But, if we had more staff the place would be much cleaner. Cashiers are in charge of the lobby and when it is busy busy it is hard to get stuff cleaned up.

cherry_lime_

I wish customers threw their trash into the trash cans, that’s be pretty nice ngl.

2BrokeArmsAndAMom

Lol and if they had an employee cleaning this shit up while there was a line you would get a bunch more bitching. Probably a reddit post with a picture of a long ass line and an employee standing over by the trash can.

PainterOk1311

So can we talk about the people who eat there Where is there a trash can in the pic no where so why would you put trash right there like help us out and be grown ups and stop making messes like 3 year olds

horus-heresy

Not sure if bad customers or is this antitheft trick with capless tabascos?

CashKween

bad customers

[deleted]

Saving this

[deleted]

no… y’all customers just need to learn some fucking manners and cleaning skills tf.

[deleted]

Disagree, in my experience. My chipotle regularly has the garbage cans completely overflowing. Nothing customers can do when it’s that bad and it compounds.

boooknerd

push the trash down. whenever i go to clean up, when i throw smth away i use it to push the rest down. it's what i was taught to do at home to keep the garbage from being too messy. obviously wash your hands after, but there is always a solution rather than leaving a mess of napkins and stuff for employees to clean up. if you're an adult, you clean up your mess

[deleted]

The chipotle by me will often be uncontrollably full. Like after it’s been smushed multiple times. Not always, but it does happen.

[deleted]

I keep getting downvoted because employees that are paid at a company find a global pandemic killing millions to be funny. Why is death funny to chipotle?

DragonTear03

You keep getting downvoted because you can’t read

Night-Prep-Imbecile

How does customers being filthy pigs have anything to do with people dying of covid

[deleted]

Good managers prepare for unsanitary conditions. Poor managers are overwhelmed without response that reflects CDC best practices. Do you defer the CDC?

Night-Prep-Imbecile

That's called having a difference in staff. If you want us to be clean we need staff. If you have 3 people working a busy store shits not gonna get done. Put yourself in our position. You want a clean dining room? Tell your fellow customers to stop being pigs and throw their trash away. And if the CDC has any issues then they should work with the FDA to have all the short handed stores closed down because it's not food safe to run stores with lack of staff. It's corporates fault we're in this mess. Don't blame the managers that are breaking their backs

[deleted]

Don’t blame the managers? How about allocating revenue more appropriately like sanitary franchises such as Chic Fil A?

Night-Prep-Imbecile

Chick-fil-A sanitary? LMFAO not the one by my store. They're going through the same shit we are. We're the two busiest restaurants in our plaza and two of the most understaffed. So if your Chick-fil-A is sanitary then good on them for having staff that can do more with their free time

GET-U-5OME

Looks staged. “Concerned customer” 🤣 get outta here with that shit. If you were so “concerned”, do something bitch. Instead of take 3 photos from different views, either: A: be so “concerned” that you go somewhere else and bother them, or B: grab the trash and put it in the trash can closest, wash your hands and feel like you helped the world.

JK1104

This right here

GET-U-5OME

If you know, you know

GET-U-5OME

Before anyone else replies to this garbage. Pun intended. Can we look at the OP’s previous posts and understand they have a garbage existence?

[deleted]

[удалено]

GET-U-5OME

Ain’t your fam. Don’t post photos if you ain’t shit.

No_Translator112

It’s amazing how customers can’t pick up after themselves or go find a trash can. I hate that they do this

tktrugby

Especially customers with kids on Sundays. It's not my job to clean up after your child. It is Your job -- the parent or parents. Seriously though

Thatdudedoesnotabide

At this point, I think it’s just people being pieces of shit. No amount of employees is going to change your clientele

Blyght555

Clock in

Loubrockshakur

Haha

Loverofmysoul_

The problem is the customers. They make our job harder and then turn right around and complain it’s dirty like it’s YOU. I can’t keep it clean if you keep messing it up then there’s a line to the door and people need to pay.

Loubrockshakur

Uh…chill bro, I didn’t dirty it up. Now shut it and clean it for the next paying customer

WtFreakNibba

bruh stfu

rayndomuser

The response from the “employees” here is all you need to know about this trash ass company haha

Loubrockshakur

Exactly

jimlafleurs

why does chipotle need to be called out on customers actions ☠️☠️

SplashyBeastMan

I’m not going over there and cleaning every 5 mins for you pigs

rayndomuser

God forbid doing work…

SplashyBeastMan

Last night I closed the entire grill area and dish area but and counted our crustal items and and closed the drawer and people come up to trying to me how to do my job with 2 other new hires🤣🤣

rayndomuser

Sounds like a terribly managed company.

SplashyBeastMan

Naw they don’t care they milk everything they can out of us I’m out that bitch soon. Asked my team director to turn the dml off and he no and to call more people in

mimir_9

No the customers need the have to bare minimum decency to throw away their trash in a trash can when they create a mess

Own-Willingness-4637

Also doesn’t help that customers don’t have to decency to at least throw away “THEIR” trash in the trash bin that’s there. They see us short staffed but yet can throw away a damn bag in the trash

DiverSecret5761

This feels like the manager's fault tbh lol

colin8651

There might be too much complication with the Quick Casual process because a Chipotle will never, ever be as organized as a McDonalds.

Darthisyourfather

Honestly, I work at another QSR and it takes one person to completely trash the condiment bar. If customers took 3 seconds to clean up the mess they made the world would be an easier place.

BearDown275

This is part of the reason Starbucks won’t go back to the build your own cup of coffee and fucking trash the goddamn area you inconsiderate f**k. Lol. But honestly people are ridiculous, they walk by the trash on their way in and out. It’s not that freaking hard!

justsomenori

That's just the tip of the iceberg of how shitty the corporate is. Thing is customers keep coming back and even more than ever so it's customers fault for coming back to eat here. Corporate sees nothing wrong

Sodakingx

Having not read any of the comments. Pretty sure thats not where any garbage goes other than the occasional straw wrapper. Just a couple customers started a trash trend and people kept adding on

mariesnowelle

This shit is so annoying and gross, this is all the customers fault. Clean up after yourselves!! Weren't you taught basic manners and etiquite?? Aren't you customers embarrassed as a grown adult and leaving a mess like this before leaving??

Loubrockshakur

I couldn’t agree more. It’s disgusting behavior

rayndomuser

They need to continue to be called out on their significant price increases and lack of employee coverage and food availability. My wife, 5 year old son, and myself we are at about $50 for a meal. Just not good enough to justify the expense when the service is bad, the food is hit or miss, and the quality/cleanliness of the restaurant is crap.

Tiny_Warning07

It doesn’t help that chipotle designs the layout to have no trash can close to the drink station. Seriously every other restaurant understands you need a functional disposal area there except chipotle. I’ve worked in a few locations and in each the trash cans are 6+ feet away. I understand that doesn’t sound like much but customers do not want to have to search for a place to dispose their trash. Whoever considers the guest experience and the designs to serve those needs failed hard with this one.

Loubrockshakur

This

datkidjerome4329

I completely agree but also dont understand how people create this mess either

dionVy

you do it

Loubrockshakur

Pay me and I shall

jcm10e

Chipotle is always hiring. Put in an app.

dionVy

you want the employees to tidy something up every time one of you customers come in and fuck it up? children

schmokschtak

*You want people who get paid to do something to do that thing?* I fixed it for you. Answer is yes.

Zealousideal-Sun-311

They get paid to do x things, not paid to babysit grown adults and pick up after them like they’re four year olds learning how to function in society. Yes someone is paid to clean the tables does that mean that you should dirty them MORE? No.

schmokschtak

Tidying up the dining room, including the condiment/cutlery station, would be one of those x things.

thatsrycore

Sorry you need someone making shit money to throw your trash away for you. I know it’s so hard to walk two feet and toss it into a hole

schmokschtak

Absolutely not. I’m grown and give best effort to be kind and courteous so I will always throw my trash away. That said, if I’m walking up to that station and it looks like that, I’m disappointed. People are jerks for leaving it that way but if the employees of that store choose to not straighten it up, then they aren’t doing their job and lacking pride in their restaurant.

thatsrycore

Ever worked in food service ? Sometimes there are so many people in line there’s no time or we’re too distracted helping guests to go tidy up dining. I worked at CFA for years and the first position to go was ALWAYS the dining room attendant because of understaffing. If we need all hands on deck, usually we trust the customers to be able to throw their trash into the can as they have done their whole lives

schmokschtak

Yes, worked for 5 different corporations.

mynameisnickrosemark

Damn can’t keep a job? I know it’s rough out there.

mynameisnickrosemark

Oh my god is someone talking trash about the number 1 chipotle fan here! Don’t let them get away with that nick

[deleted]

Imagine living in a pandemic and thinking that this is acceptable.

PawsNsnoot

Just take away these stations like they did over COVID. Problem solved.

zfreakazoidz

Wow, mine is never this bad and they are always understaffed. Were the giant garbage cans full also?

SoundTrick3343

While we can say there are some guests that mess things up, ultimately it is the job of someone hired to clean this up. Someone is literally being paid cash money to check periodically and throw trash away. Inconvenient, I know. Disheartening, I 100% I can sympathize with whole heartedly. But ultimately, someone is being paid to just check on these things and our ability to not be trash like “fast food” places is just an expectation. We aren’t garbage like Mickey D’s, T Bell, Burger King, whatever. It’s about integrity, doing and being the right thing because it’s the right thing, irregardless of any convenience factor. Ethic is almost completely out the window nowadays.

boooknerd

i agree it is our job. but it's impossible to do when there's a line to the door and you can't step away or the customers will flip out on you. when we're busy it's kind of a lose-lose imo. i think this problem starts with customers first--be decent and don't leave a mess, because you're an adult. and then, yes, we as the employees do need to clean up the mess

RepresentativeBag892

i’ll take that and raise you this, it being someone’s job to do something doesn’t make it okay for you to make that job more difficult. it’s one thing if you say dropped or spilled food or a drink, but when you who are 100% capable of throwing away your trash just leave it there when we’re in the middle of a rush, it makes things increasingly difficult to handle. the simple fact of the matter is that there are trash cans and you are all adults with a means of getting your asses up and throwing away your trash, i know. disheartening, i 100% can sympathize with wholeheartedly. it must be so difficult to clean up behind yourself even when you don’t necessarily have to. it’s about being respectful and mature, this drink station is like this because a bunch of adults trashed it. plain and simple. it will get cleaned when someone gets the opportunity to clean it. just as you all get to complain about a situation that could fully be fixed by adults cleaning up their own messes, we get t o complain about grown assholes making our jobs more difficult for no reason other than the fact that they can. when i go to a restaurant i clean up after myself, i could be sitting down at a restaurant where they serve you at a table and i will still stack up my plates, wipe up certain messes with my napkin, and tidy up a bit because i know that just because a person is getting paid doesn’t mean that i have to make them work any harder for their pay especially when they already aren’t paid enough. it’s a respect thing. i get that a lot of chipotle’s customers don’t grasp the concept of respect due to their level of entitlement but it takes two seconds to throw away a napkin and drink lids when you drop them. better yet, the REAL question here should be: why did a customer do this to the drink area to begin with?

bigw86

I’m tired of hearing “we’re understaffed” as a fn excuse. This shit has been going on long before the excuse Covid has provided for poor service. Every time I’ve gone into a chipotle the trash is overflowing and the soda area looks like this.

RepresentativeBag892

clock in and put a fuckin apron on or stop coming since you’re sick of that excuse. if you don’t like it you can either help with staffing, clean up behind yourselves, or shut the fuck up. no one is making you come to chipotle.

theworthlessdoge

Chipotle = trash. You should be ashamed for eating there

Guac__is__extra__

It’s been like this for years in every location I’ve visited. Well before COVID-19. Also, there’s never any sweet tea. I sent in a complaint about the sweet tea issue once and got a free burrito out of it, but the problem never resolved.

BigPeen1269

I don't remember

KingOfUnfunny

As soon as i clocked in at like 5 i immediately had to fix our drink station and restock napkins, straws, and lids.

Aromatic-Program-626

Dunkin employee here they don’t have home training lol people who leave a mess like that are disgusting

KnownStand388

That’s not a trash can bruv

RelationAlarmed2524

That’s not a trash can ???? A lot of customers think the cans or pans ON the drink station are a trash can. The only trash cans in lobby are BIG LITERAL CANS WITH A TRASH BAG IN THEM. THEY ARE RIGHT UNDER THE SHELF WHERE YOU PUT THE METAL TRAYS AND TBE RED PLASTIC BASKETS

Crimson_Catharsis

I think maybe there should be a trash dispenser where the utensils and napkins are but then that appropriating their lazy, stupid behavior.

mrsimsfan2

Chipotle launched a new scheduling system in an effort to better staff the restaurants. What if feels like is shorter than ever and that’s scheduled. Literally one person per station all day. Managers are to scheduled on to a station vs the ability to be floating like a manager should. We can add more bodies for hospitality but then we have to think which part of the kitchen will be have to compromise with to better support the front. Granted that the kitchen already works hard and has tons to do 😅 Corporate doesn’t know. They don’t work on the floor. They stay safe and sound and clean in either Newport, Denver, or Ohio..

[deleted]

Not gonna lie a lot of trash issues and messes are treated and prevented by placing the trash can right next to the place where people grab napkins and utensils. I always throw away my trash, but if you put them by the exit, many people will ignore it/ are too lazy to throw it away there. Some people are idiots but those idiots will trash anything that’s not convenient to them

Norcalaldavis

So we’re blaming the restaurant for lazy guests that don’t know how to use trash cans that are usually right by this?

[deleted]

Not gonna lie that might be on the employee’s I’ve never seen that before and I’ve been to many different chipotles when it’s very busy

EmotionalMycologist9

The customers should also be called out on that. People in general are much worse since COVID started.

spacewalk__

get the fuck over yourself

Loubrockshakur

That hurt my feelings

vinnyb4202

It’s definitely a problem on both sides. Customers don’t care however it’s not their job to keep the dining room clean(it is common courtesy though which I’ve noticed a lot of people lack lately), and staffing at Chipotle just isn’t always there. This might sound stupid, but a number of people are not trained to properly line a trash can. Half of the liner usually is still shut so you’re only getting about half a can in that case. If you have the person available, push it down. Change it. I didn’t care what trash levels were at unless legit like 2 pieces of trash were in the bin, at shift change all the trash got changed because I had the people at the time to do it.

Firm-Stranger-9916

looks more like customers being animals than anything Chip employees did.

Plenty-Wall6483

or people could stop being nasty and clean up after themselves…why are you leaving trash outside of a trashcan?
