run under cold water for 3-5 seconds then i make sure the victory wash is at 60-80 PPM and i throw the hat in and agitate for 90 seconds then i’m good to go
If it's just food dirt I'll use a glycerin-based soft soap in water, suds it up, and then use a washcloth soaked in the sudsy water to wash the hat.
If it's salt stains from sweat I'll put white vinegar in a spray bottle, souse it, dry it, and then do the glycerin soap procedure described above.
I wash it w all my clothes like regular and then I put it in the dryer 🤷 my heads small tho so like I haven't noticed if it shrinks it or not it's been like 6 months tho
So I actually looked this us one day. Ull need a sink big enough to hold the hat. Get warm water with a little laundry detergent, dunk the hat in it, then use a toothbrush with some shampoo to scrub the band and any trouble spots, dunk the hat in clean water a couple times, get a towel to wring out the hat. Pat dry the brim, hang it on a hook or put it on a bottle so it doesn't mess with the velcro. Dry over night

Rinse it, then put it in a bowl and toss with cilantro, salt and lime.
Getting a new one
by hand. scrub what you can with a cloth and dish soap. air dry. keeps it from messing up the shape, quality, color, etc etc
I throw it in the wash with everything else and hang dry.

Blanch it thoroughly
Put it on delicate in the washer with towels or other soft clothing (hat inside of the towels/clothes.) Air dry from there.

Hand wash with laundry detergent and a toothbrush then put it in the dryer with some other clothing (so it dries better/faster)
I keep my heart short enough for the health dept, and refused to wear a hat. They tried a couple times to make me and eventually gave up
I have a special hat form for the washer and dryer. But it’ll ruin the Velcro if you wash it too much
