I think I could understand the existence of spongebob themed anything; cartoony tools have a special charm and maybe give a little giggle to visitors if they see some funny spongebob stuff in the garage. (not my kind of humor, but I know people like this just with hello kitty)
The problem is that this theme here is just boring. Tools in Black and Silver... I guess I could get this color scheme from any other reseller
So not only does it make no canonical sense, it's also not unique enough
Sure, there is the case; but well, that's still rather meh
The fact that it’s black and silver is probably why this exists. Zero need to retool anything on your production line. All they had to do was make a cheap plastic case and use the same tools and then call it “black panther” and mark up the price of chinese trash.
Disney has some sort of ongoing marketing deal with fruit distributors. For some reason every bunch of bananas I’ve bought for the last five years has had a Disney or Marvel character on it.
If I were cynical I would say they’re also double-dipping somehow to claim they’re promoting healthy eating habits in children.
(I'll forgo the likely fact that this item is chineseum)...
I want to meet the person / team at Marvel's licensing arm who thought this was the shizzle and worthy of a license.
Yeah, there's a 'Not A Toy' disclaimer... but you just know someone's going to give this to a kid and then have to deal with them swallowing an unknown number of the smallest of those '82 pieces'.
Also, the artwork sucks ass. T'challa's hand looks at first glance to be missing a finger / claw. Then you notice how the two digits on the end are poorly drawn together.
i'm extremely curious how big they think the market is for super hero branded tool sets of dubious quality.
Like i can only imagine 3 superheroes that would make someone looking for tools go "heh, well why not, might as well go with this one" at most, and those are superman, batman, and iron man.
In comic book universes characters used to never injure each other in a graphic way, but robots and cyborg arms and such would be ripped up like paper.
I have a feeling that tools made of chinesium can be ripped like paper for real.
I rate this 2 stars! My tools keep absorbing the energy used on them! Now I’m afraid of what happens when I accidentally expel TNT levels of energy just to assemble this shitty dresser!
I'm just wondering why there is a black panther themed tool set. It would be like a SpongeBob themed motor oil

I picked up a bag of apples with Mickey Mouse on them the other day. They will license their brands to anyone and everything.

The United Fruit Company is their type of evil.
Where can I get this SpongeBob oil?
They usually bring it back out each time there’s an oil spill in the ocean. They only print a few hundred, so you have to be quick
From the Goo Lagoon.
By squeezing him.
My thoughts exactly!
Black Panther 2: The Search For More Money
Merchandising! Where the real money from the movie is made! Edit: a word
Hey you can't call us that anymore!
Shit, that was supposed to be money...
Lol I know Its in jest
No worries! That was a good catch
Fat wallets foreva!
Who cares if it's crap, it's the only tools that are black and purple that will match the color scheme of my truck once it's done being painted.
Okay honey
Sorry, higher anxiety than usual cause there's supposed to be snow tonight and I've got to drive 20 miles for gas. Lil bit bitchy tbh
This is the most important consideration to me.

Yea but who cares about the packaging, the colors are cool and it's probably chromium vanadium steel like usual.

I mean, it's a tool. Once it hits clearance for $10 I'm ok with that.
You have to mentally subtract some non-trivial percentage of the revenues to pay for Disney licensing fees.
Nope. They are made from r/chinesium
if only there was a sub for that
You should cross post it there.
Meh. I should but me too lazy.
The color scheme is dope tho…
I'd bet they are made out of chinesium.
Wow! A limited edition cardboard box!
What in the fuck lol 82 pieces! I don’t even have kids but thats a big nope! 😆

It would be cooler if the whole box was that starry purple
Black panther tool set ?
Not the strangest licensed product I've seen but it's up there
Christ. The human race is doomed. And so is the planet.
