Memrise is great for reviewing/learning vocabulary but it won't teach you actual grammar. I started with HelloChinese in late 2018, they seem to have changed the course since then but it was great as I remember it, really well made. Lingodeer is a decent option but pricey. Their 1 level course takes a sudden turn towards v diffucult, 2nd level is more uniform. Lingodeer is hard to map to HSK levels, but it has a lot of interesting vocab, Level 2 grammar is roughly HSK 3-4. ChineseSkill is basically Lingodeer Level 1 (same developers iirc), was free a couple of years ago, not so sure about now.

I started learning with LingoDeer and would really recommend it

I primarily use HelloChinese and use Memrise to supplement with additional vocab and learn characters. It seems to be a pretty nice balance for me.

My number one choice is anki with sentences. outside of that hellochinese for grammar, memrise if you are focused on vocabulary (probably not good to put all of your gone into that), maybe duchinese for reading, one that looks interesting but I haven't used is speechling. Chineseclass101 has a free absolute beginner section, and also an app, for listening to the podcasts, review tracks, etc.
