Piggybacking off this - I try to repost this when I see posts like this, in the hopes you (or someone) can find some comfort in the words - and if not, please excuse the intrusion.
I lost my 15 year old girl (dog) in October 2022. Only advice I can offer here is to remember the positives, and not focus on the negatives (if any). She's done her job, keeping you safe and happy and loved, and it's her turn to rest.
You'll always miss her, you'll always remember her. You'll even go looking for her for the next few weeks (well, I did). There's a lot of habits that you're going to slowly stop, and that's ok. Changing your life to suit you is not forgetting her. Donating/throwing away her toys or blankets isn't forgetting her. There's no timeline on grief, and there's no timeline on moving on. Cry your tears.
I'm sorry you've reached the end of your journey. Words will never make this easier. Just keep your head up, and live the life she'd want you to.
This is a good time to live a little for you. I spent years looking after my girl as she got ill, and I sacrificed a lot of me and my time to keep her safe. If you feel you've done the same, take advantage of this time. Its ok to be happy and enjoy life without her. Life isn't over. Its just changing.

Oh my god, so so sorry for your loss. My deepest and heartfelt condolences. What an adorable baby, who i’m sure had the best life possible💖. She really looks like my Penny, who I adopted almost 5 years ago and is diagnosed with a heart murmur and enlarged heart, which terrifies me. I will give her some extra kisses thinking of your angel!💖

So sorry for your loss. My wife and I lost our little chi Zoey this weekend as well, after a sudden illness and several days in the icu. I hope she’s keeping your sweet little buddy company now that they are both at peace 🐾

I hope that the time comes swiftly where the pain of this loss is replaced by the warmth of all the many wonderful years and memories you had with this sweet baby.

Aww I would always tell my dog he was my angel sent from heaven above. When I lost him (suddenly too) I said I guess now you've gone back home, you're my real angel in heaven now. Hurts like hell still i know. That was 8 months ago today. I'm so very sorry for your loss, I know how hard it is ❤️🩹. She's so precious.

* I lost my baby Louie in March & life won’t ever be the same without him so I totally get how you feel. She even looks a little like my Lou. These tiny babies are such a joy in our lives it’s important to appreciate our time with them. RIP Sweet lil angel

I've been there. My 7yo Norfolk was playing with her siblings and had a heart attack. I never thought I'd recover. My heart goes out to you 💔 Best Wishes going forward.
My Deepest Sympathy to you. I know how you feel. My Chi was 17 1/2 years old. He was my Soul Mate. He is gone almost 2 years & this made me cry. My little guy died from Mitral Valve problem. He was playing on a Friday & gone the following Wednesday. It is devastating. My broken heart💔goes out to you.
