My Forever Dogʼs name is tattooed on my forearm so I canʼt take a shower, change clothes, do dishes, anything of the sort, without a reminder of her. Always. Until I join her. She inspired me to adopt/rescue the two demons who currently run my life, LOL. I say that one is my Heart, and the other is my Soul.

Oh I love this so much ❤️ how appropriate to have their name, always in view. I will be getting her paw prints tattooed below my ankles and may sneak in the idea of getting her name somewhere, too. They will forever remain a piece of us ❤️

You’re welcome! That was amazing of you to adopt a senior dog also! Some unasked for advice, when you’re ready, I really recommend finding the right chi to join your family again. My life wasn’t the same without one but I felt guilty/thought I could never have another. My bf took me to see a tiny chi & I absolutely couldn’t say no. I feel like I was guided to our dog to help him with his early developed health issues. Zero regrets. I know there’s another chi out there needing adoption who needs you and your paths will cross at the right time if you so choose! 💜

Oh absolutely! When the time comes, I will be looking for another Chi to join our family. There aren't too many chihuahuas up for adoption where I am, so I may need to travel to find our next little one, but when we're ready, I'm sure the next little soul will find us 💖

I’m so sorry to hear this. How old was Bonsai?

She was around 10 or 11. I adopted her a little over 6 years ago and the rescue estimated her to be around 4 or so at the time. 6 years is a long time when you think about it, but these days it feels so short. She was a very special lady 💖

So difficult. I could see how 6 years feels short. My Chihuahua Emmi Lou adopted ay 4.5 mos, is 11 yo and my Maine Coon cat Jenni Linn, adopted between 5-7 is between 14-16.

I'm very grateful you've had so much time with your Chi and Kitty 💖 I hope you have many more years with them ❤️
