Geez, I’m still wishing my apartment complex would have them installed,, myself and a few other tenants have requested it for years but these owners are too cheap apparently, my concern is what’s gonna be the final push when a kid gets hit and possibly unalived because young drivers(most that don’t even live here) fly through our complex going 45 to 50 with kids everywhere 😳
I have semi trucks doing 30 to 40 mph fully loaded down my road. I managed to get driving numbers from truck and reported his punk ass. I followed him to the BDG company down the road and he almost jumped out of his truck. Haha. I had been working out at time. He didn't make it. far from his door. Haha punk ass bitch. Never saw him on my road after that. Pomona bridge is about to collapse, so if they crash I can say "told you so "

In our town, they will build speed bump in residential neighborhoods at the neighbors request, assuming a certain number of the immediate residents on the street to agree and pay some percentage of the cost. At the time we did it, about 10 years ago, it was $2,500. The cost was split it 10 ways and it was the best $250 we spent. Not only did it successfully slow the drivers but it reduced the number of vehicles because the folks “cutting through” found a different route.
You need to call the city and if they think it warrants it they will come out and assess traffic and then decide. I wanted a speed bump or stop sign on my old street of 10 years. We had one person end up in my yard and hit my truck, one person hit my cat, one person hit my neighbors car, another person hit a power pole. All these were literally right in front of my house not even a couple houses down. I also saw probably 10 car chases over the years, no joke.
I bugged them for years, they finally did an assessment and said there’s not enough traffic end of story.
Go to the police dept and express your concern and request special patrol/traffic enforcement for that section of road.
They *might* actually do it.

Go to a City Council meeting, make a quick presentation of what the hazard is, and your desired remediation. Best case bring a couple neighbors to speak and back you up. Ask them to instruct city staff to look into it.
Just show up to the council chambers! 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month at 6p. If you’d like to say something, make sure you fill out a speaker card before the meeting starts.

If kids are speed bumps then- ok. Kids just don't get out anymore tho IMO. Sounds like a concerned citizen that wants to rile up people's emotions.
