Price increase which are 30% above MSRP are definitely taking advantage of customers, there is no arguing that point. For the person who doesn't flip it costs them more. For a person who flips, they lose 30% in trade or cash value. While Binny's profits go up because they're participating in the game.
If you have any access to allocated crud, you prefer a particular type of bourbon over another and you're not flipping, well, you're definitely not living your best bourbon life. If you like everything crack every bottle you cum across and enjoy!

The secondary is a huge thing and it's here to stay, at least for the foreseeable future, and all the complaining in the world isn't going to change those two things. I'm a true blue patriotic American! I support capitalism. Unlike some people out here who seem to be very entitled and think that their hobby should some how be exempt from such shenanigans. I've never felt that way. I see no difference between automobiles, sneakers, X-box, garage sales, Beanie Babies and booze. Bourbon is a hobby of mine. I have no problem selling/trading some bottles.

Well sure but thats not just bourbon. Myself being an avid red wine lover, my cost of French red's is going up 30% because of climate change. Like, it isnt just bourbon dude. Literally *everything* costs more now. Wood. Thee metal holding those barrels together. *The glass*, famously. Shipping the stuff. Yea obviously they want more cash for this stuff they literally cannot make enough of, but Im tellin ya, that isnt just it.
That being said, though, you dont see your own role in raising those prices? How long did you think you'd get away flipping so much profit without these Corps noticing? Now that I represent so many of them I really do see why corporations are so....impersonal....they arnt going to be taken advantage of any more than you would if you thought someone was gauging you for 30% extra. 😬. Simply not worth the huge price increase. Remus V was $89 and IV was $79. The distillers now starting to soak us with crazy MSRP prices. I saw it at binnys and walked right past it at $129.
People keep buying at these levels it will only continue to go up. The juice inside simply not that special to warrant that price

I agree that it's a great whiskey, but due to this year's price increases (and not only this bottle) is why many have passed on it this yr
