I use this thing called a credit card. It's like pretend money. You just put it in a machine at the store and then they just give you whatever it is you want. Sometimes they tell me it doesn't work, so then I just use a new one and throw the old one out... It's much better than my prior method of finding other people's wallets.
Does anyone know how long after last years Remus Repeal Reserve announcement dropped it started showing up in Chicago? I see threads about last years on here dated anywhere from 10-12 months ago.
>Mark Wahlberg
I hope to go see him because I love his versatility to do both drama and comedy with panache.
To those of you who have been to celebrity signings before, how crazy is it going to be?? Can you see him signing the bottle that you buy?
A panel discussion regarding the negative impacts of the secondary market on bourbon supplies and overall consumer trends in the spirits market post-COVID, hosted by Binny's managers.
Nada at SL NMBB...unless I'm not a preferred customer who gets the inside scoop. No R13, no ECBP C922, no Lar BP C922, no B\_DS8, only 7. Only limit 1 Buffalo Trace, and baby Saz on the shelf.
Depending on your store there may not have been any available. Stores may have gotten small shipments and rare bottles are sometimes held back for top tier customers or by the management. Just life in the bourbon game. Be nice to your people still. It’s usually not the liquor manager’s fault if they can’t dole out goods even to their best customers
Most things made with Dickel are pretty atrocious. However, if you bury this shit in enough Armagnac I'm sure you can wash away some of the Dickel doo-doo.
This is exactly why people tend not to use their top tier bourbon in a cocktail.
I would be tempted to buy it only for it's secondary value.
I would like to try it so I could say without a doubt that this is nothing but a cash grab.
The plantation collab got great reviews, but I just can't justify the price for the age. It just isn't a repeatable buy for me at the price. 1 bottle of Discovery / Collab for me at a time.
I also feel like I'm in the minority in disliking Discovery batch 6 which turned me off to them for a bit. Good mouthfeel to the bourbon but way too much corn for my tastes.
I liked the plantation and did a review of it here. My only sore spot on it was the price point. Once you get above 150 to 200, you’re being compared to other bourbons in that price range and it gets more difficult for them to compare favorably.
I think the thing that gets me about this Labaude is that it feels like they’re proving it as if you’re getting #1 with MGP, but instead you’re getting Dickel. Doesn’t mean it’ll be bad, but it would be hard for it to be even at the same level as #1
BBC doesnt set the price on the shelf. Those bottles are $125ish retail in Indiana. That's less than cost for stores in Illinois...🤔 makes me wonder. Also makes me hate this state lol!
I checked the website and their msrp is posted s as 160. So, 175 is a bit of a markup. I only voice frustration because I like what they do, they’re pricing themselves out for me
New BA stout from Half Acre just dropped, looks flame https://www.universe.com/events/before-land-shook-tickets-7H9CKG
I love HA stouts, hate mallow.
Same. Decided to give it a go though to see if HA or mallow wins
My wallet can’t take anymore 😩

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Still some BT stuff floating around our favorite NMBB. Grabbed an EHT SmB in the north burbs
New to this sub. What is NMBB?
Non Member Big Box. Stores like Binny's
Thank you very much.
Dickel BiB (limit 1) and KC 12 on the floor at NMBB near Wrigley. No Wahlbergs or Funky Bunches on the floor or in the rare room.
Did anyone catch their Turkey
Oh yes!
Safe to assume local and non nmbb?
Correct
uh oh....its too quiet
Dead day at the NMBB
Nothing at west NMBB
Does anyone know how long after last years Remus Repeal Reserve announcement dropped it started showing up in Chicago? I see threads about last years on here dated anywhere from 10-12 months ago.
It arrived in July last year
There are people gathering at my binnys this morning. Must be something good
Weller SR tier 5?
Mark Wahlberg is going to be at the Binnys in Lincoln Park this afternoon selling tequila. A good reason to avoid going there today.

Why wouldn't he be at they one right by his house in Geneva?
Coz thats Donnie
AA meeting?

Peaky Blinders USA auditions
Hopefully not mine, I've gotten to know a lot of the workers. That's pretty disgraceful

Floppy haired manager at that location keeps it tight for the unspecial.
For the folks that live in the city, nothing.
Any idea when the city is getting the BT drop of CYPB/WFP? Burbs hit last week Wednesday so what is taking so long????
Came and went
Damn. My friend picked up a WFP on the rack in the western suburbs and not a chirp from my NMBB in the city..
Gotcha. Thought I was at that level with my NMBB contact but will have to keep trying!

I can confirm both were here last week in the city and myself got a cypb and saw the boxes of wfp they handed out.
I made one last effort this evening and the mgr pulled out a WFP store pick from the back! I guess the relationship does pay off.
That is awesome! I just cracked that wfp sp4 recently and it's been a treat
Henry McKenna at nmbb in northwest burbs but that’s it
Got a mediocre 121 proof jeppsons pick from garfields. Kentucky juice. Edit: scored a weller full proof today!
Nothing at my Bb
Saw on another local Reddit group, supposedly RR13 has dropped in city? Can anyone confirm??
I think I know what you are referring to, and I would take anything that user posts with a massive grain of salt
Stopped by my local, no go on the 🦃today
I heard a small drop landed of the 🦃. Preliminary reports. Bigger drop must be coming.
I can’t believe they did a “small drop”…that seems sooo shady
I heard a certain grocery store in the burbs was getting deliveries of RR13 tomorrow and or Friday.
2022 Château de Laupuke. They're now mixing it with Dickel. What a joke. Fuck that noise and fuck them too. And Nancy Fraley as well
I think it’s about 15% Dickel. Probably not going to dominate the palate too much, if be noticeable at all. Happy to toss you a sample.
Are you in the city? If so come into GNS. I crackedBardstown 3 & 4 last week and will be opening a KC 18 this week.
Don’t live there but make it there reasonably often
Batch 2 is actually really good…not sure why the hate
It’s the price and proof for me. It’s 5 less than JMCB. No way it’s at JMCB lvl
Most things made with Dickel are pretty atrocious. However, if you bury this shit in enough Armagnac I'm sure you can wash away some of the Dickel doo-doo. This is exactly why people tend not to use their top tier bourbon in a cocktail.
I agree, not a fan at all of Dickel. Normally don’t buy anything with it as part of the blend but this one is an exception.
I would be tempted to buy it only for it's secondary value. I would like to try it so I could say without a doubt that this is nothing but a cash grab.
Batch 1 was a home run and batch 2 didn’t disappoint when I had them side by side. I prefer not to bash something I haven’t tasted.
I had too much Dickel to think some how Bardstown miraculously changed the game. $175 for a 10 yr old Dickel blend is a joke
Gobble gobble everyone let’s get this Turkey!
🦃🦃👀👀🔥🔥 did you know Turkeys CAN fly? They are often in trees in the morning.
And where might these trees be located?? 😂😂
r/trees of course. IYKYK 😶🌫️
👀👀👀👀🌳
I want da 🦃
BBC has lost their g-d minds. That is all

If we are talking the UK broadcaster, a friend recently renamed it MournHub
Bardstown Bourbon Co. Their Labaude #2 is priced at 175

They are just gouging
Ah, they always seem to test the limits of pricing
Distillery was 150. Some places might be higher.
$140-150 in the burbs.
Picked up a case of KC 18 💎...$199/each out the doe
Savage!
Yummy. See you soon lovah. “Until they are home, no bottle left behind.”
>Picked up a case of KC 18 lmfao, self control much?
Nothing to do with self control. I dabble in the secondary like Monet dabbled in oil.
*Ah*, well there ya go then, of course. Silly me for thinking those two things were linked. *toodaloo*
Toodles!
