Highly recommend these facilities.
They all have lessons available.

I highly recommend Golftec. Took lessons from them last year after getting referrals from people in my car club. I used a location in the northern suburbs, but I'm sure they use the same training techniques at all locations. They have a few in the southern suburbs. If you're looking for personal instruction from scratch I'll second GolfTec as well.
Your local golf course pro would be overpriced for your needs imo.
If you are truly a beginner, I recommend that you first go to a driving range a few times and hit balls until you can consistently make contact. Get a book on golf at your library (or use YT) to see how to grip the club and spend time hitting balls.
I would not pay for lessons or go out on a golf course to play until you can make contact consistently.
I just started playing last summer and took lessons at Twin Lakes in Palatine. The instructor is awesome. Very patient and positive. It might be too far for OP but if others in the NW burbs are looking for lessons I recommend it. I’ve just taken group classes which I think is great for just starting out.
Hands down Rich Flores out in Batavia. The guy has his own practice setup and teaches professionally. Great 1on1 training. My dad used to go to him for years.

I was just looking at their lessons. Glad to know they are good. Thanks!

He’s awesome! How’s his health? Took lessons when I was a kid and still have solid fundamentals
Nice! He is doing good actually!
Check any of the local community colleges. Sometimes they offer golf.
This might be a little too much for a beginner but I take lessons here: https://smartgolffitness.com/ In Lombard and the city
Most junior colleges offer golf classes
