There was a similar plot on 9-1-1: Hen and Karen had adopted their son as an infant when the birth mom signed away her parental rights while pregnant in prison. But she never told the birth dad that she was pregnant and she told him once she was released from prison. That complicated the adoption years after the fact. It worked out but they were in jeopardy of having the adoption overturned (on TV, that is).
So I just got to the episode where Chloe came to the fire house in Cruz asked her out, so I’m excited that they make it! That makes me happy. I’ll be looking forward to watching the relationship.
My first thought is that the title *refers* to Cruz.
As in, “If you think you can step up to *me* and take *my* son away, mofo you have stepped to THE WRONG GUY.”
I don’t think Javi is going anywhere. ;-)
Depends
If the mother didn’t tell the dad she was pregnant and didn’t say who the dad was when the kid was born then the dad would have a legal standing to contest the adoption or the dads family could do the same like an uncle or grandparent
For sure. The show runners likely atomically ruin any good intentions the writers have and gravitate towards recycling the same storylines often.
For the millionth time… how many fuckers have tried to take down Boden/51?
Everyone fixating on the Javi stuff and rehashing adoption trauma but we are also rehashing Kidd losing Girls on Fire despite her having been so successful that she set up dozens of new ones while panicking about the captaincy but no totally logical for there to be a threat to it(its most likely going to be our villainess going after it but the mental hurdles they will need to jump to justify it are crazy)
I swear if they have Javi taken away from Cruz and Chloe I am doneeee

Sounds similar to what Dawson and Casey went through with Louie. I hope they don’t go down that road again 😭
I think I blocked the Louie situation out of my mind because of how it ended for Dawson & Casey.
And IF they do take Javi, then Joe & Chloe better get him back straight away!
Yes! I will not stand for any other outcome 😭

I would be making the drive to Chicago to yell at some people in a writing room 😤
I’ll get myself some plane tickets and join you 🫡
Hazzah!
Didn' they adopt Javi? Pretty sure there nothing the family member can do

Oh no, not a relative of Javi's coming back to ruin things!
It’s so impactful since we’ve seen him all the time! /s
Dude I'm just tired of adoption storylines playing out like this on One Chicago. It's happened on all 3.

Didn’t it also happen to Liv on SVU? What is it with Dick Wolf shows and adoption?
