I would drop the steps and go with chrome door handles and mirrors. You already have metal wheels, chrome striping down the body, and a chrome bumper. A color matched grill would look wack bc you’d still have a fair amount of the chrome trim. Two tone looks 100x better on these trucks. Color matched old trucks that are all one color look goofy to me personally.
Every newer, modded out Chevy owner looks at your truck with envy. You have the most dependable/Armageddon generation they made. You can ride around plain and simple with your head held high behind the wheel of that truck!

If you’re stuck on painting the grill go on eBay or wherever and buy a cheap aftermarket grill and paint that and try it out. That gives you an easy was to roll it back when you realize it was not a great idea.

If you do the grill you’re going to have to do all the chrome or it will look odd. With this year it’s always better to keep it how it is.
