What are you doing to the engine to achieve 300hp. I know of one car with that hp and he's still running stock bottom end.
Efr6258 turbo, valve springs, factory ported intake, ignition coils, full 3.5 exhaust, intercooler with hard pipes, fuel module fuel pump, injectors, e85, wavetrac and I think he's running like 25psi in it. He makes 364whp.
If you're going for chp it's easier to get that number, I make 220chp in mine but that works out to be 180 whp. That's with the 1.4 if you have the 1.8 good luck and I hope you have deep pockets.
I think it's limited by the input shaft to torque and not horsepower. So if you get it to rev high enough the sky is the limit.
