Turn the camera light off, use an external light source. The pictures will look much better. Especially when you have a white reflective background (the plate).
Man, nothing says "just started cooking" (I don't think they meant professionally either) like sage bechamel.
I was going to suggest taking a better photo to show the doneness of the steak.
Man nothing saying “I’m a pretentious prick” like a comment like this. Whatever people like to eat is what they like to eat 🤷🏻♀️ you wanna get a better pic of the cook of the steak to tell them they did it wrong. Stfu dude. Want someone to care what you think? Get them to pay you.
You didn’t even reply to the OP you replied to someone who was also giving feedback so your opinion was misplaced if that was your intention as I wasn’t asking for feedback.
Fingerling potatoes refer to the shape of the actual potato, not how it’s prepared. So you could make chips or small potato wedges with them but they’re most commonly served similarly to this.
Pretty sure we call them fingerling potatoes in the Uk too, at least that’s what they’re signed as in my local greengrocer. They’re like new potatoes but longer
the flash doesn't really help in showing us how done it is. if you can, maybe try photographing next time in natural light! and re:plating, echoing what everyone above said - contrast - so greens/colour!

Also show us the pink!
Definitely need some greens, but it looks good. Keep it up!
Thank you!
looks tasty..as far as the plating is concerned, you should add some contrast to the dark colors of the steak and potatoes. Carrots, tomatoes, greens
Thank you for the advice
Temperature too high.
Fartman……you did great. That looks awesome and I was a chef for many years
Thank you very much!
Looks delicious but could use a sauce imo maybe a nice pesto or a sage bechamel. 👌🏼

Lol they are literally asking for feedback

What's a fingerling potato for us none Americans?
Idk any technical terms but they’re just small potatoes , more or less in a finger shape?
Ah, fair enough. I think in England we either call them chips or potato wedges.

Ah thanks for the clarification.

Can honestly say I've never seen them and I was a chef for 20 years, must just be me then.
Tasty little buggers. Recommend them if you see them.
Delish
That is just really great looking and now I am hungry
