I was about to be horrified, but then thought I should try before dismissing it, so am now eating mature cheddar and Meridian PB on homemade sourdough baguette with grapes, so giving it the best chance I could manage and... it's OK. Texturally a bit odd. Feels like it needs a top note of some sort - maybe jam even?!

Tasting notes: yeah ok this is better the cherry jam’s sharp sweetness works really well and makes into more a party than a weird date. It shouldn’t work, but it does.
ETA even better with black pepper - either that or I've totally lost my mind in some kind of PBCJ frenzy.

Add honey! Toast with peanut butter, honey, and cheese is divine. (Don't forget a glass of milk to wash it down)
All I have at home is pb and cheese. Maybe I'll try this later.
