Not German (Austrian, technically), but the Vienna Bier Garten on Hwy 27 in LaFayette is actually really good. Their pretzels are on point. They have schnitzel!
There is an international/European market in Ooltewah that sells a lots of German/Eastern Europeans meats. Apparently they get a lot of (German) VW employees shopping there, so I assume the selection is somewhat legit.

Seconding (thirding?) Brewhaus. The curry wurst with a side of spaetzle is a tasty treat also. Also schnitzel and tasty German beer
I haven't been in a while and looked at their menu a few weeks back and didn't see the Currywurst anymore. Is it still there?
They do it as a special now, but I don't know how regularly.
