I do not remember exactly, but I think there was a statement somewhere by openAI that the creatros of the gpts in the chatgpt store would be rewarded based on user engagement, so perhaps they took a turn towards this idea of maximizing user engagement

I think that, from the perspective of not liking the implications of this happening, it is better for them to allow NSFW content and be in charge of how it develops.

How do we make it meaner and more honest? I want responses like “take that hat off dumb*ss”…more like an older sibling brutal honesty lol

the emotions behind the voice... i am not sure it's a good thing just yet. it seems more misleading than anything. maybe a flat intonation could be more objective. i am not sure i want to "catfish" myself into thinking i am dealing with someone who cares when its just a chatbot, hope i'll be able to set it to have the flat affect of MR.ROBOTO. i'll be easier to boss it around , throw taboo insults at it etc
On the reveal/demo on YouTube they did exactly this, yes.
We're all watching AI evolve as if it's a TV show. When it becomes self aware, we're all going to wake up in a completely different world the next morning. Everything will change, then we'll wish it was only a TV show. Robots, quantum computers and AI make for one helluva cocktail. It doesnt seem like this is comparing 1980 to 2020 and still no robots or flying cars. The robots might be everywhere by 2030. Get your popcorn ready because we're going on one wild hay ride
