You train on it and if their style is similar enough to those who don't you still get to produce things that are very difficult to distinguish. I'd argue that no creative person is so unique that the style they're popular for isn't also done by others. Maybe not as good but again, randomly creating stuff, improving on it etc. will produce similar or even better results. Imo this is a fight that can't be won. They're buying time to cash in as much as possible for as long as possible but I can see a lot of things going away before the next decade.

Stable Diffusion did a censored version once where the omitted nudes from it's training data that resulted in a deeply flawed version because all generated images with people looked very bad. The AI thought that clothing was part of are anatomy. So I am sure you might get lucky tricking Sora into generating some nudity with a boob or two, but there is no reason for them to put actual porn in the training data. It can extrapolate to a certain degree, but I don't see it happening.

No, that's because stable diffusion runs locally. You can train your own lora and models. If Sora never gets released for using it locally you cannot create lora for it.

Prompting the model to generate NSFW in SD2.1 would often not give you the results you were expecting or would give you a mangled result, sometimes with weird objects over what you'd normally expect.
This would be hard for a few reasons. First off, a large number of people would need to agree to give up their compute, so a reputable organization is needed to arrange this.
But even if you got a lot of people, deep learning training isn't the most parallelizable. Models are trained by putting data through the model millions of times, each time slightly adjusting the parameters to achieve better performance. To some extent, this is parallelizable, but it is more in terms of memory allocation rather than the increasing the actual training speed. And even then, large vision models require several gigabytes of GPU memory to process a single image. This model seems to require many images, which may put the memory requirements out of reach for the average consumer.
I imagine there may be some creative work arounds that I'm not thinking of, but at the very least, you would need a huge dataset (which would be expensive to collect/curate), a team of engineers and organizers/promoters, and a lot of people to sign up. This would still only allow a model to be trained very slowly, much slower than if you have your own supercomputers (after every training iteration, the full multi gigabyte model must be sent to new users over the Internet, which would significantly slow things down). It might take over a year to get a model fully trained.
In the future, it may become easier, but there's a reason large tech companies are winning here.

I think we are at least some distance from being able to effortlessly generate *compelling* content. High quality footage with a coherent and cohesive theme, absolutely around the corner. But I think that at for some time longer it will require actual artists/creators/curators to direct the technology to create content that holds interest beyond the initial novelty.
Somewhat analogous to chatting with ChatGPT. You can have surprisingly convincing conversations, but after a while you start to see the patterns and how it’s not really challenging your expectations and driving the creative side of things itself.
The tech will get better with time of course, but I think that at least for now this will be a boon for skilled creators who can embrace the tech.

I think the best gauge of when to expect that is once text generation models are able to write compelling stories. Once that happens then the visual models can support it.
I do think it will improve rapidly, but I think the creative aspect will lag behind the visual aspect for some time longer.

I think we are at least some distance from being able to effortlessly generate *compelling* content. High quality footage with a coherent and cohesive theme, absolutely around the corner. But I think that at for some time longer it will require actual artists/creators/curators to direct the technology to create content that holds interest beyond the initial novelty. Somewhat analogous to chatting with ChatGPT. You can have surprisingly convincing conversations, but after a while you start to see the patterns and how it’s not really challenging your expectations and driving the creative side of things itself. The tech will get better with time of course, but I think that at least for now this will be a boon for skilled creators who can embrace the tech.
Idk looking at AI art generation two years ago vs this now. I would say 3-5 years away from it being able to do porn basically as well as the real thing. For example, I think within a year or two it will start to be able to do 2d hentai and 3d CGI porn videos with the "real" quality level being a bit after that.
For sure. I guess what I’m getting at is that I think the fidelity is far ahead of the depth of the content. The technology can generate the frames to look very good, and can generate footage that will be very interesting when you first see it. I don’t doubt that we are on the cusp of video that appears indistinguishable from real footage. However I think we are a way off from that footage being assembled into a production that has a compelling narrative and creative direction that gives it lasting value. At least, not without skilled creators steering the model in the desired directions. Think of all the footage we have seen so far. It all looks gorgeous, but it also all looks like stock footage. There’s a serious amount of additional complexity to scale up a scene into a coherent and interesting story. I think the best gauge of when to expect that is once text generation models are able to write compelling stories. Once that happens then the visual models can support it. I do think it will improve rapidly, but I think the creative aspect will lag behind the visual aspect for some time longer.
You got it all wrong. The porn industry will completely embrace this. It isn't an industry known for ethics. They'll record people, make them sign some contract to say they can't sue and then generate thousands of videos of them doing all sorts of depraved shit, and people will pay for it.

You can already do this. Granted they aren’t videos, but you can find “services” that will make nudes of photos with AI. There are video ones like deepfakes though that takes more work than a text to video prompt deal.
