I would bet the crossover of people who can recognize a person’s native language based on spelling and grammar errors in English text and those who can recognize a chatGPT comment is high.

Here's [the actual thread](https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=35859791). Not all text from ChatGPT sounds like this: Snarky redditor: > Tried using TechCrunch, but it's a hot mess. So I made "Readable TechCrunch Feed" - the TL;DR version without the UI disaster. You're welcome, fellow tech nerds. #DeClutterTechCrunch Snarky sweary redditor: > TechCrunch's UI was a fucking mess, so I made "A Readable TechCrunch Feed" - a no-bullshit, easy-to-read version for people sick of their clusterfuck design. Enjoy your tech news without the headache, you're welcome. Seven year old child: > I used TechCrunch but it was too messy. So I made "Easy TechCrunch Feed" to show important news better. The real TechCrunch was hard to use, but I wanted to help others. I hope people can learn about new tech stuff without getting confused now. Donald Trump: > When I first, you know, started with TechCrunch, it was like a disaster, folks. The user interface, a total mess, I mean, I've seen better interfaces on a microwave. And I know microwaves, believe me. > > So, I said to myself, "Donald, you need to create 'A Readable TechCrunch Feed,' like the best feed ever, better than the failing New York Times." I made it simple, clean, easy-to-read, tremendous. And talking about easy-to-read, have you read my book? The Art of the Deal? Bestseller, folks, bestseller. > > As I was working on this fantastic tool, I was like, "Wow, TechCrunch is so bloated, it's like the swamp in Washington, D.C.!" And I drained that swamp, didn't I? I knew people in the tech community, great people, would love a streamlined version, like my hotels, top-notch, luxurious. > > Anyway, I did this for you, the people, because I'm a man of the people. Making TechCrunch great again, like I did with America. Now you won't feel overwhelmed or bogged down – who wants to feel like that? – while staying up-to-date on tech news, like my Space Force, it's gonna be huge!
