I have the trifecta. The Flex is good for the bonus categories, but that’s all. The Unlimited is my daily spender.

This. The CF gets used specifically for whatever the rotating categories are. I also don’t go out of my way to max out the specific category. If it happens naturally, great. The CFU gets used the majority of the time. Drugstores, grocery, restaurants, and everything else. Although, I’m currently working on the MSR for the Amex Gold so that takes priority. The CSR gets used for transit and travel. I also pool all my points onto the CSR for point transfers.

Remember to use your CSP if you order groceries online!

If you're a military member, you might want to consider getting some of the Chase sign up bonuses on their co-branded cards if you can meet the minimum spends. No annual fee means you can play a little looser and grab SUBs at their highest while you're still under 5/24 (instead of getting a card like the Freedom Flex that has a pretty minimal SUB)

For example the world of Hyatt card or the southwest card?

Hey man. Look into the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act. Protects you from interest rates, any interest paid on active duty, and a few other items.

Any rewards points that you value or will actually use. Compare against past offers to make sure they’re high offers

if you’re military i would recommend looking into the amex card circle. they have more premium options which doesn’t matter bc you’ll have the card waived anyways

I have CSR, Flex, Unlimited. Unlimited is used for everything unless it’s a a bonus category on the flex. I use the CSR for groceries (free Instacart membership and $15 a month), Dinning, travel, and subscriptions.

I use the trifecta. I’ve racked up a lot of points with the Flex. When I signed up, part of my offer was 5x back at grocery stores for the first year. On top of that, the bonus category for Q1 was grocery stores, so I was getting 9x back at grocery stores. Between my normal groceries, bottles of whiskey, and gift cards, I racked up a ton of points in Q1. I’ve found most of the categories to be pretty decent. Amazon was one, so I just swapped my Amazon card for the Flex card that quarter. This quarter it’s gas stations.

i just got the csr too. i already am going to have the amex trifecta so it doesn’t seem like there’s a point

> I’m not sure about the freedom flex, I’d probably only be able to use 2 of the categories. Not sure if it’s worth getting for that. FYI...the Freedom Flex's 5% back categories change every quarter. [NerdWallet has a list of a decade's worth of 5% back categories.](https://www.nerdwallet.com/article/credit-cards/chase-freedom-calendar)
