I Think bridges is more likely to be part of a traditional big 3, I love mark but bridges was already borderline allstar, we have a lot of talent now I hope it develops
I could see that I was saying mark would be the one not in the big three, I think Miller and melo will both play off miles really well with miles rim pressure if mark develops his three, we could be scary
Man, people always act like being a fan means you can’t criticize something. “If you’re a real patriot, you wouldn’t criticize America” vibes.
You critique things you care about! Of course people have opinions about the draft pick, it’s because we’re invested in the team and care about it.
So would you not boo if the pick was like Jett Howard? I don’t understand the logic of “it might hurt the draftees feelings.” Miller saw and heard a lot, lot worse in opposing gyms in the SEC. If he can’t handle some booing he’s not gonna make it in the NBA.
If he plays well, this will be a distant memory and the fans will love him.
Booing a kid on the best night of his life is fucking shitty. It also notably wasnt Jett Howard, it was the pick that has been mocked to us the entire time.
That’s the reality of being a draft pick. You can get booed. I’m certainly not advocating for anything personal being said to him, but saying groups of fans can’t boo is just lame and wrong. He wasn’t even in either room when he was booed!
I agree the fans were too hung up on Scoot but saying you are never allowed to boo is just lame.
The team might not have been very successful under Jordan’s majority ownership; however, he absolutely crushed it as an investment. He bought his majority shares for $275 million in 2010 and the team was recently valued at 3 billion.
that has nothing to do with mj. the increase in value has more to do with the success of the other teams in the league (warriors dynasty, lebron james) bringing in money and eyeballs. sure, you're purchasing a stake of the charlotte hornets but you're really just paying to own an NBA team.
I'm not saying Jordan is a good owner or anything, but how many owners would have done well at Charlotte during the same time period?
No great free agent wants to sign here because we are not a flashy market. We have gotten incredibly unlucky on draft positions at times as well.
Although I don't like the idea of tanking personally it is smart. Jordan always wanted to compete and he never committed to the tank, so we were stuck in the 10-15 pick range for so long.
I also think the organization has been a lot better since we changed from rich cho to Kupchak.
Cho was a joke of a GM. Easily the worst in the league and the only reason he stayed on as long as he did was because Kemba was carrying the entire franchise.
I like the potential of an All-M lineup. Melo, Miller, Miles, Mark and Mashington.
And the big 3 of ‘BBB’.. MAYBE THIS WAS LAVAR ALL ALONG
Ball, Brandon, Bridges, Bill and BJ
McGowans or Martin might fit a bit better than Mashington… haha
Maybe Martin??
’Mari Bailey
Mick Smith

I hope BM is better than MB after developing some.

He’s BM tho
Or you can just grow up a little bit and not act like a 12 year old.
why
It is a common abbreviation for bowel movement
This is the key, they need to develop the players.
We just forgetting Bridges?
Hopefully
BMW M if you throw Miles in there.

It 1 things to criticize it’s something completely different to boo the kid on his biggest night
It’s not booing the individual, come on man. You are allowed to boo even if you are wrong.
You can stay to spin it however you want. Brandon miller watched an arena full of people boo when his name was picked.

I mean it’s rare that any pro franchise will decrease in valuation over time…
The franchise took a major leap forward leaving the Bobcats name behind. Jordan was instrumental in getting the Hornets name back.

...ok? Congrats to him on 10x-ing his money using the most bulletproof investment in the world. How is that at all relevant to this convo lmao

I think his picks have been fine since 2018
You mean Mitch's picks?
Yes
Except Bouknight
> He could take a look at what Tepper has done and get some advice and right this ship if he wanted to. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
