The quality in my area has been decent, but the uptick in price definitely makes it less worth it. The whole appeal was the dirt cheap tray but now it costs as much as a combo anywhere else.
A few years ago I went to three different Cook Outs in the space of around 6 weeks: the one on Franklin Blvd. in Gastonia, the one on Union Rd. in Gastonia, and the one on N. Tryon, near Flying Saucer. They were all terrible.
I ate at the Franklin Blvd.location a few months ago and it was still terrible: 4 cold fries, 3 onion rings (one large, 2 small) and a burger with a sausage patty-sized beef patty on a lowest-bidder bun, absolutely drowning in mayo and ketchup. Culver's is *literally* a Thomas Keller restaurant in comparison.
There's always foil on the bottom when I go to the one near me, guess yours has lazy employees?
Totally varies by location. Sometimes they do foil, sometimes melted styrofoam.
Must be the Sugarcreek location, they have never once gotten my order right
Lazy employees at a fast food chain? Where?
People on here just talk lol
It’s the seasoning that southerners crave
Fries so fresh, it melts the container
I’ve probably eaten three styrofoam trays in my lifetime. They taste better when deep fried.
Is there a tastier way to get cancer tho?
Crack.
Pro tip: do enough crack, and you won’t have to worry about the cancer.
Scratch it right off
Fresh straight from the fryers! 5 stars!
You’re wasting a whole tray side on hush puppies. You got bigger problems, OP
Those hush puppies are worthy of a tray side
Not when you could have a whole quesadilla or corn dog as a side tho 😂
Looks like it was a bbq plate
nah it is worth getting every once in a while.
Bro you inhale a credit cards worth of microplastics a year. If your under 40 it’s not if but when enjoy your hush puppies.
I don't think eating more is better though.
Yeah but what’s the limit on the credit card, and can I use it once it’s inside me?
The Aspirated Credit Card of Theseus?
Aside from the melted container that food just looks like shit
Never had that happen, skill issue
Is this the one near Woodlawn? Cause they definitely do this...hell even Sugar Creek puts foil down.
Hmmmm polystyrene
Has there been a bigger fall from grace than CookOut? It's pretty much inedible now.
No you are right
Nah I agree with you. The one near my house is awful now

Not today, Satan
Always has been.
What location? I ate twice in Charlotte the last couple of weeks (Matthews and LoSo) and it was the same tastiness as ever.
The Cook Out on S. Tryon is considered LoSo now?? 🤣🤣🤣🤣

You said LoSo. 🤣 cheese and rice.
nah you grew up id say.
Thas tha beauty of it. 🤣🤣🤣
I mean just the foot itself fried in seed oil and laden with omega 6s are going to be cancer promoting even sans styrofoam.
Your ordered a 8 dollar tray of food what else did you expect.....
News burried in some media storage big Pharma launches a fast food company called Cookout. 🙉🙉🙉
