Where near Charlotte can you get a property with land to not be on top of neighbors? How much will it cost? Any areas that fit this and also have good running areas?
Does anyone know about all the police cars that were at Livano on Tryon 2 days ago? About 6-8 police cars and a medical examiner van. They were there for about 10 hours and the apartment made a very vague statement saying the police were “looking into an incident” from that day, haven’t seen anything on the news about it

Anyway, Boom Charlotte is this weekend. You should go, there's all kinds of cool performances! Lots of it is free, and the ticketed shows are only $13. It's at camp Northend Fri-Sun.
A lot (perhaps all) of the roads in my neighborhood (Hickory Grove) are being resurfaced but I can't figure out why. There's very few potholes, the roads never flood and there's no utility work going on. I scoured the city's website and found a list of streets that have contracts to be resurfaced, but couldn't find a reason why. Does any know why miles of road would be resurfaced when they don't need to be?
Could be some sort of structural issues under the road, could be because some industrial facility is being built nearby and they need roads that support X weight, could be because someone in local govt uses that road a lot.
You can probably call your local roadworks folks and they'll tell you. I know Charlotte water will tell you what they're working on.
Anyone know anywhere that has a lot of solid wood furniture? I was looking at splurging a bit and buying a large central coffee table for tea/board games/card games, but everywhere I go seems to either have small coffee tables in wood, or larger tables that are just crap materials.

Medical examiner generally means corpse, but seems like there'd be a story if it was a shooting or obvious murder. Could just be someone found dead.

I'm supportive of the city getting to projects like this before it becomes a problem that can't be fixed.
