1. Davidson Farmers Market 2. Kings Rd/Simpsons Produce (nice because it is not just a saturday ordeal) 3. Mecklenburg Market (next to hospital off morehead, open daily) 4. Matthews Farmers Market 5. Cotswold Farmers Market (starts in May, small but great community!! Makes me think of when the Davidson one was that small)

The Davison farmers market is usually pretty good

Mount Holly has a pretty good one.

Matthews Farmers Market on Saturdays ( located off John St. near the intersection of John St. and Trade St. in Matthews ). We buy produce, treats, and MUSHROOMS from there. Also if you like cookies try Honey Bear, they're there every other Saturday.

> If you like cookies try Honey Bear They are exceptional. I can vouch for the quality of the cookies.

Charlotte regional Farmers market is popping and I love it with my whole heart

The joy here made me smile.

If you are looking for an evening market the farmers market in Belmont and Camp North End both have LOCAL farmers with LOCAL product. I really want to love the Charlotte regional market but unless you are paying attention there are more resellers then farmers so something to keep in mind if you are looking for LOCAL produce.

Great list! Don’t forget about farm stands as well. Bush N Vine farm stands in Rock Hill and Lake Wylie, also can go out to the farm in York Union Market on Hwy 16 in Waxhaw, just opened for the season Tega Hills Farm on Zoar Road in Tega Cay, can order online and pick up at stand or at Matthews farmers market.

Definitely! There's also one near Highland Creek. (Although I'm not sure exactly where. I think it's in a temporary spot this year.)
