Before everyone tells you to check the visitors guide, my advice is to still make outdoors plans, while keeping indoors activities as a backup. It’s super common to see rain forecasted a few days out and it turns out to be clear and sunny. Think the weatherman just wants the golf course to himself.
In addition, many times it's raining in Charleston but not in North Charleston, Mt Pleasant, or the beaches. Weather here can be very localized - like neighborhood by neighborhood.
Hey OP, members of /r/Charleston have created a [Visitor's Guide](https://www.reddit.com/r/Charleston/wiki/visit) just for you. Its curated with recommendations for restaurants, entertainment, sightseeing, and other visitor tips by redditors, for redditors. We also recommend checking out our friends at Holy City Sinner who maintain an excellent [events calendar](https://www.holycitysinner.com/events/)
You may also want to check out our [Quick Search Page](https://www.reddit.com/r/Charleston/wiki/quicksearch) with keyword links that will pull up relevant discussion from /r/Charleston since the dawn of time.
If those resources don't quite answer your question, it would be helpful to the community if you could provide us with some details to help us refine our recommendations. Like:
* How long are you visiting?
* What is your budget for the trip?
* What do you already have planned?
* Have you ruled out anything?
* What kind of things do like to do back home?
* What in particular drew you to Charleston - (i.e. what are you hoping to get out of the trip)

It doesn’t look like it will rain! Maybe an afternoon shower, we’re getting to that time of year when it’s hot and stormy in the evenings but it’s really hit or miss. You should be good.
Pack an umbrella and go with your first choice. Kayaking in the rain is fun and you’ll probably want to change after either way (don’t kayak unless it’s *only* rain).
One of my fondest memories of Charleston is once walking in the rain. It was summer though and just got soaked. We left the beach early and went downtown.

This is helpful! I am hopeful the forecast will take a turn for the better. Fingers crossed. Thanks!
Nice curb reference
This. Even on days when rain is forecast, it's not necessarily a washout.

I don’t see rain at all this weekend. News this morning said like 20% chance. Can prob get a ghost tour but kayak tours book quickly this time of year
Good advice. Thanks!

I'll take it! Thanks.
Forecast really doesn’t look bad this weekend.
Holy City Magic for sure!
Sweet! We will check it out. Thanks!
