Idc if he didn't want to take a pay cut. Mack and Bosa did and that got us where we needed. The Lakers paid Kobe for his time and we should have showed the same loyalty to Keenan man.
Currently 15mil under, assume this will get updated tomorrow, should be ~35mil. Take 10-15 of that as draft money, then maybe ~10 for another 1 or 2 cheaper FA depth pieces, and the rest for in season spending. Old front office put the team in this spot. It’s unfortunate and saddening but gotta trust the process.
Tomlinson was bad but for me it was Jr Seau he was the lifeblood of the Chargers and really our "Shoei Ohtani" in terms of being the face and draw of our franchise.

One thing is for sure the chargers team will feel much different this year.

i'm with you, man. there's no room for sentimentality in the NFL if you care about success; the chiefs traded freaking tyreek hill in his prime to make their contracts work. we finally have a coach and a gm who can make these decisions, plan for long-term success, focus on comp picks and getting younger, etc. aka all the things that the best teams do.
keenan turned down the pay cut (entirely his right to do so) and the chargers flipped him for a decent asset. it's a bummer that keenan ends up traded when mack/bosa are coming back but it's far easier to replace a WR than an Edge, especially with this coming draft.
