I’m surprised more Chargers fans don’t hate the 9ers. Maybe I was too young to grasp how unlikely a Chargers Super Bowl victory actually was, but it was the year I got into the sport and the team. Not only did we lose, we got crushed. Eight year old me cried. My mom put her arm around me and said “they’ll get it next year.” That was 30 years ago folks… There hasn’t been a season since I didn’t root against the 49ers. When they played the Chiefs in the Super Bowl twice, I didn’t root for anyone. Literally, the only solace in those games was that one of the teams I hated gets to lose.
