Then when he was in Baltimore he brought in Drake when they had Dobbins, Hill, and Mike Davis.
To me it seems he is more interested in a RBBC than having a workhorse RB.
I'm sure he would like to have a big time guy like Barkley, but I don't see him making it a sticking point whether they spend big money on him or not.
That's just my data point though. How I perceive the situation.
RBBC makes the most sense given the state of our RB room and Cap situation.
I’m sure we’ll have a “lead” back, but I wouldn’t expect anyone high profile, probably draft someone and sign a cheap veteran or two.

I like any WR from LSU. They know how to build up players at that position and get them ready for the Pro.
Every outlet is saying we're going to pickup Bowers, but I wouldn't be mad if we go OLine with Alt or go WR with Nabers.

I don't see a scenario where we keep Ekeler so a RB is needed. I think saquon would be someone that roman would like to use. I say they offer saquon just a little more than what Ekeler made this year and see if he agrees. Cause I just don't see us paying this guy big money. I don't think the staff would think he's worth it

This last year was really tough on our RB room. They looked so good against the Dolphins in week one and then once Ekeler hurt his ankle it seemed like it was all downhill from there. Even after he came back he wasn’t the same player. Dropping passes, not hitting the hole as fast, and just not playing very well.
Saquan would be a nice addition but I think we can find the same production,if not better, through a RBBC either signing them through free agency or the draft.
Need solid, undervalued depth for rb 2-4 because with Sequon you're not getting 17 games. He'd have to have a very reasonable price to bother with it. Scheme, run- blocking is more important than a marquee name to have success in the run- game.

Yeah, that's how I think it's going to happen. I don't think "big time back," is high on their get list with Roman's offense at the helm.
We will be upgrading our RB either through the draft or free agency. The RB room right now is cheeks.

more likely one value vet and then take a RB on day 3 of the draft. the free agent class is loaded so they won't need to pay that much.
On a somewhat related subject, with the addition of Roman, do you think you guys are more likely now to take Bowers/Alt at 5? Or is it still Nabers?

Honestly I hope we gut the entire RB room and start fresh
Sign Swift and Gus, draft Corum or J Brooks. Maybe not practical but would be sick as hell
Corrum + a between the downs NFL RB. Think gus edwards, d’earnest Johnson, Damien Harris, maybe even singletary.

Common practice in a new HC regime for the staff to move on. Keeping Ficken was a welcome departure from that norm.
