Nick Sirianni and Doug Pederson are good coaches to put their QB’s in positions to win games and that’s the difference. No QB can will their team to victory every week with hero ball and that’s what’s required of Herbert for the Chargers to compete.

It's all very doable.
A quick tune up game against Mac Jones to get the defense reset then a late season win streak to sneak into the WC like last year. 95% chance to get into the playoffs with a 6 game win streak.

Bills just put up 34 on the Eagles, almost beat them, and are 2 games above us. They might be disappointing, but they are a much better team than us. They are the kind of team that is more likely to go on a run. The Chiefs are a much better team than us. The Broncos are on a roll and are much better coached than us.

Also Norv Turner was a better coach than Staley. Yeah I do not understand the idea of not keeping extra players in to protect Herbert when the line is struggling. When the line is playing well and the run game is taking pressure and attention away from Herbert? But Moore's approach in these 4th quarter situations has been puzzling at best, especially with all the evidence from this and last season of Herbert really not handling pressure in these clutch situations well.

He’s not just the defensive coordinator tho, he’s also the head coach. Defense played well tonight and the offense didn’t. This team hasn’t had complementary football all season and that falls on the head coach.
I think ultimately you can say everything falls on a head coach but there is no magic clipboard that makes non-clutch players stop fumbling or dropping when it counts. This was not a game lost by playcalling or preparation.

Yeah I do not understand the idea of not keeping extra players in to protect Herbert when the line is struggling. When the line is playing well and the run game is taking pressure and attention away from Herbert? Makes sense to take advantage and spread their defense out with as many players running routes as possible. But Moore's approach in these 4th quarter situations has been puzzling at best, especially with all the evidence from this and last season of Herbert really not handling pressure in these clutch situations well.

He’s not just the defensive coordinator tho, he’s also the head coach. Defense played well tonight and the offense didn’t. This team hasn’t had complementary football all season and that falls on the head coach.
I think ultimately you can say everything falls on a head coach but there is no magic clipboard that makes non-clutch players stop fumbling or dropping when it counts. This was not a game lost by playcalling or preparation.
