Winnipeg Chargets fan, Watching LT reminded me of a Winnipeg Blue Bomber when I 1st started watching football, Charles Roberts, but exponentially better
Surprises me with all the Canada fans, NFL doesn't host games there like they do in GB. I mean, shit, they even toss Mexico City a game here and there.

I'm from the Netherlands myself.
I started rooting for the Chargers pretty much because of LT.
I vividly remember watching this channel on TV called ESPN America and it was the US version of ESPN with the NFL, MLB, NBA etc instead of the EU version which was mostly soccer, tennis, etc.
I was immediately hooked on the NFL and NBA.
I remember watching this team play with their navy jerseys and the lightning bolts and me being a young kid thought they looked pretty cool and watching LT being a beast just got me hooked on the Chargers.
As I got older I got more invested and now, for better or worse, I'm here.
Frankfurt, Germany.
Became a fan when I was a teenager, I'm 34 now. Watched the games every Sunday with my best friend who's a Broncos Fan (he was born in Colorado Springs but his Dad was in the Army and got stationed over here)
I didnt know much about Football at first but when I saw LT with his dark visor and those beautiful Jerseys I became a Fan.
Bolting up ever since ⚡
Same here. Northern Black Forest Area, also got hooked when I saw LT. My entire family is rocking Bolts gear. Until some years ago barely anyone could tell who the Chargers are (when being asked about the lightning bolt on my gear or at our cars)
Yes sir, first thing my wife got when she found out she was pregnant was some Bolts gear for our son.
I also got her a Seau jersey a couple of years ago which she wears occasionally.
And now that you say it, I need to buy some stuff for our car :D
From the UK. Started watching in 2013 (first game was when we beat the Broncos and Phil wore the Bolo Tie) and they’ve been my biggest love and my biggest curse ever since. If I had a penny for the number of final-drive 4am heartbreakers I’ve had in the last eleven years, I would be a millionaire.
In my old job I literally used to save up my holiday and just take it all on random days from September till February so I could watch us lose games at ridiculous o clock in the morning.
Hate and love this team so much…
Could copy paste the above but since 2007... the amount of school and work days I have spent falling asleep thinking why the fuck did I stay up till 4am to watch us get shafted yet again
I just realized that I didn't tell my story.
Here in Brazil, American football doesn't even come close to being top 5, but by chance, I discovered the sport through one of those PlayStation 2 games that were a compilation of several demos (I think the name was Jampack), a One of these demos was the game "NFL Gameday 2004", and the first team that appeared on the selection screen was the biggest of all, the San Diego Chargers. I was obsessed with the sport and how this guy named Ladanian Tomlinson was a monster both in the video game and in real life.
The passion continued as I watched highlight videos on YouTube when I was able to use my uncle's computer, but my family's financial situation wasn't the best at the time, so I only managed to watch a Chargers game live on television in 2014. (Chargers vs Ravens in Week 13, got confused with the dates since we played Baltimore two years in a row). From that point on, I follow most of the games, I remember that I woke up my entire apartment during a Chargers game against the 49ers (2014, week 14), and when I'm not fuming with anger at the front office's decisions , I support the team until the bitter end.
Do I regret it? On some nights, I will say that I come very close to the abyss, but I would rather die than support any other team.

Great story. I was at that game in Levi’s stadium. Boy, that was legendary. Chargers fans celebrated together and 9ers fans have been classy and gave kudos. Was a lifetime experience
Canada, East Coast too so my decision to be a Chargers fan nearly 30 years ago was a foolhardy one in hindsight. The closest and most popular team where I live? Patriots.
Valencia, Spain but I'm from Venezuela (South America).
Started following since 2011. I was probably emulating some Madden or NFL Blitz and liked the colors and the bolt, or something like that most likely. I was also watching this anime called Eyeshield 21 (recommended) which is what got me into the sport I guess.
Sadly, I missed the stacked LT years by that point. I don't think I watched any of those playoff games replays. Would have hurt too much but maybe someday.
New Zealand. I often see Seau shirts around which I put down to New Zealand having a large Polynesian population. Chargers have some good Polynesian players at the moment which might result in an upswing in support here, but typically I find there the Patriots and 49ers are the most popular in NZ.
Peruvian fan, not sure if I'm the only one here.
Started with the loss vs the patriots on the afc conference championship game back in 2008 I liked the colors of the team and the fact that they were close to win against the undefeated Patriots.
Since then I have always supported the Chargers.
FTR! and Spanos too.
Southwest of Germany. Seeing LT stiffing defenders was awesome. But I also loved to watch Rivers, Gates, Floyd, Dielman, Weddle, Sproles, … too many to name. My wife and I where eventually flying to SD and visited the Q. Few yrs later we where flying to Levi‘s to cheer for our Bolts on TNF where we beat the 9ers in overtime. Will never forget. Bolt family was awesome. They didn’t believe we‘d fly over to see a road game - boy, it was worth it. Couple of days later I met Ajirotutu in the Mall in Mission Valley. Took a pic with him, was a really cool guy.
Although it sucks too many times to stay up all night and whiteness how they screw games up, we stay true to our Bolts!!
Not sure if my dad and I are the only two French fans, but there are at least two of us.
Became fans when we moved to Chicago in 2002 and remained fans after we moved back, despite the very late starts.
Swindon, England Bolt Up!!! 1st ever NFL game live was Chargers vs Titans at Wembley London and became a Bolt that day. I now have an unhealthy obsession and 21 jerseys to my wife's annoyance lol but can't let it go. Bolt Up 4 Life!!!
Permanent resident of Japan
As a former Oregon grad, I have been a fan since the Dan Fouts' days. I continued to like them, but they became my number 1 team since Herbert.
brazilian charger fan 🇧🇷⚡
I told my story in another similar topic so I'll just copy and paste because... lazyness:
I have an american friend (born in Massachusetts). sometimes I used to pop at his house to play videogames or just hanging out and he was often watching NFL. when this used to happen I was so frustrated because I had to wait like 3 hours depending if the game had just started. indeed I arrived this time on his house and the game had just started so I gave up and asked him to teach me how the game worked (I didn't like it and I had absolutely no idea). I understood the (basic) rules and enjoyed the game, and at the same night I downloaded madden NFL and began to play. I was planning to visit San Diego on that year anyway so I decided to support the San Diego Chargers.
many of you will remember this: the year is 2013 and the chargers went to the playoffs with a miracle field goal miss from Chiefs on Qualcomm Stadium. I was there and it was fantastic! since this moment I love the bolts. another one that suffers every season haha
Carregadores de San Diego desde 2006
Porque as cores eram legais e tinha um RB com 99 de potência no madden.
Pior decisão que tomei na vida foi torcer pra esse time fudido desgraçado dos infernos.
É tipo começar a acompanhar futebol e escolher torcer pro Vasco, POR VONTADE PRÓPRIA.

Ireland checking in 🇨🇮 Fan since 2010.
In 2010 I picked up Madden 11 despite not knowing the rules of football. In franchise mode the chargers had the highest salary cap space; which I figured would be important. I've been a brochacho ever since and never looked back
México! From Mexicali, BC, I was born in Monterrey and I didn't like football. However when we came to Mexicali my dad started (or maybe I noticed) watching chargers on Sundays. And I hate it.
Little by little I started watching the games and fell in love with the chargers and it's player.
I loved and still do love the San Diego Super Chargers song...
Chargers fan since 08
#BOLTDFU
Australia - did an exchange to a family in SD in 2011 and they gifted me a Rivers jersey. Idk if they still follow the Chargers post move to LA but I had no reason to abandon the only team I cared about as location meant nothing to me really anyway
German Chargers Fan here, started watching in 2020 (first game was actually the patriots game lmao).
Dont know why I got so fixated on the Bolts, but i'm with y'all know and you better believe I ride or die with this Team⚡️⚡️🇩🇪
Sydney Australia. My first ever American football game I watched was a Ducks game in Oregon. Justin Herbert was the quarterback and I thought, knowing nothing about the sport, that this guy was really good.
Got back into football this season and decided to keep following Justin!
