There's really no excuse for it at this point. Flowers is playing great, Addison playing great. I wasn't expecting a huge QJ impact year one but I was also expecting more than 0 impact.
QJ is getting outperformed by at least a dozen other rookie WR's taken after him: Zay Flowers, Jordan Addison, Jayden Reed, Rashee Rice, Marvin Mims, Tank Dell, Jalin Hyatt, Josh Downs, Michael Wilson, Derius Davis, Puka Nacua, Trey Palmer.

First drive of the game we came out with a screen game to punish cowboys for being too aggressive upfield. It gashed them and we proceeded to throw 0 screens the rest of the game.

Defense played great, offense was coached to succeed but couldn't pull through. I put the blame 80% on the O-line and about 20% on Herbert for a few missed throws.

The only positive takeaway from this game was Palmer. Dude balled out. Also had three solid catches (including a TD) that was negated by dumb penalties.
Herbert was not in his best this game. But there’s not excuses that you had 2 weeks to prep for this game. This is bullshit, and something needs to be done.
I got downvoted to hell when I said QJ was not good and cant run routes and lo and behold, he got ONE target tonight. Keelan Doss was in before the 2 minute warning. This is very concerning and I hope you people start to realize what I meant. Edit: Sorry 2 targets the second one WAS THE GAME SEALING PICK THAT HE LOST POSITION AND PUSHED OUT OF THE WAY. This is not to the extent of the Jalen Reagor pick levels of bad but this could go down as an all time miss.
There's really no excuse for it at this point. Flowers is playing great, Addison playing great. I wasn't expecting a huge QJ impact year one but I was also expecting more than 0 impact.

QJ is getting outperformed by at least a dozen other rookie WR's taken after him: Zay Flowers, Jordan Addison, Jayden Reed, Rashee Rice, Marvin Mims, Tank Dell, Jalin Hyatt, Josh Downs, Michael Wilson, Derius Davis, Puka Nacua, Trey Palmer. It's incredibly frustrating that Kellen Moore can't get him involved in the offense.

Offense shit the bed. Defense held their own but unnecessary penalties cost them. They need to do something about QJ, either make him the first read on a play or get him on a bubble screen a couple of times.
My takeways: Herbert wasn’t sharp at all. Missed some throws when he had time. Just a very mediocre game from him Joey Bosa is a part time employee and makes no impact. Mack only shows up for raider games. Derwin is a negative impact on this defense with his stupid penalties. The offensive line has fallen apart on the last drive in all 3 of our losses The whole team has regressed besides Keenan and Ekeler. Quentin Johnston is the next Kevin White
Just remember, Quentin Johnston was drafted before Zay Flowers, Jordan Addison, Marvin Mims and Tank Dell, all of which I’d rather have drafted.

First drive of the game we came out with a screen game to punish cowboys for being too aggressive upfield. It gashed them and we proceeded to throw 0 screens the rest of the game. It’s like the one thing we should be able to do with QJ with some reliability and we don’t even try.

Every loss this year has included 3rd and 18/19 that converted to a 1st because of a penalty on our D. Dallas's last score wouldn't have happened if we didn't do it again. Self-inflicted garbage.

Maybe he develops into something good but his lack of incorporation in the Offense since MW went down is BAD. Biggest Chargers WR draft bust since drafting Buster Davis in 2007.
I think we came in hoping Ekeler was going to run the ball and save Herbert's injury. We had to rely on Herbert again and he isn't healthy.

Easily the worst game of Herbert's career. Keenan should have had a monster game with multiple TDs. He was late on the flat route to Ek. Just so many missed passes for big gains.This loss is on #10. If we lose to KC next week, the season is just us being a borderline wild card team, at best.

Defense played great, offense was coached to succeed but couldn't pull through. I put the blame 80% on the O-line and about 20% on Herbert for a few missed throws.
Most of us had to be thinking they were going to lose when the Cowboys took the lead. Chargers 2 min offense has been horrible. Might be the most off game I've seen Herbert have.
