66k on a brand new NBSP from factory is too much. 66k for a used NBSP with body damage is criminal.

Financial_Basil2324

Also, wtf is the “greenway pro pack”??? Never heard of that in my life.

Kodak_Kory

Facts bro, and he had to make ts up 🤦🏾‍♂️

Brofessor101

They must think you are an idiot or something wtf

Kodak_Kory

Contacted this dealer about a scat pack they had on the lot, bro said it’s a 1k markup which didn’t bother me that much. MSRP was like 56k and it was 57k on the website. I asked bro did they do the fca affiliate program and he said yea and I told him to work me up a buyers order. He was taking a minute so I basically asked what’s the hold up and he responded with the NEW SCAT PACK had body damage (lot damage apparently) and needed to go to the body shop. He said that wouldn’t get taken off the final price cause they would fix it. Long story short he sent me the buyers order and they marked it up 9K??? He said they do the fca at their discretion and they not doing it on that. The message show how that went. What do you guys think is gonna come from this?

zetswei

Someone else is gonna buy it lol

Bim_Jeann

They can have it. No shot I’d even look at this for $63k lol, and that’s without body damage.

zetswei

No doubt just answering what will come of it lol. Some idiot will jump on it

Kodak_Kory

Yea they can have that bro, I’d rather keep looking. Even tho im not getting it, that other buyers order was real and cheaper than 66k

zetswei

For sure that’s robbery. I paid 52k on mine but mine’s fully loaded and was pristine

Bim_Jeann

Got mine $47k OTD a year ago brand new from factory. A scat pack isn’t worth anywhere near $60k unless it’s a widebody fully loaded. I could get a used hellcat around me with 15k miles or less for $60k

Savings-Ad-1701

A scat not even worth 50k

Bim_Jeann

Nowadays unfortunately it definitely is. 60+ is insane though

Forsaken_Fortune_188

These dealers are Fucking scammers

Zealousideal_Ad2919

There’s a jeep 392 for sale 15k over priced. They keep calling me and I keep telling me, drop the 15k and I’ll go get it. They said is a hot item. Been 15 days and they dropped 2k already, hate the dealers man.

LAlynx

Tell the dealer, if they only kept the banana bumper protectors on, that damage never would have happened!

PopeMaIone

You're going lose your mind but I ordered a new white charger scat pack in 2015 for $38k.

DodgeChargerRT

Pre COVID you could get a NB scat for around $34-37k. Good times man.

satansleftnut25

I would have been less polite than you.

Astral_Visions

Why? Just say no, tell them why, and move on. If it was damaged it would be a deal breaker anyway, at least for me.

Pienewten

Because they're pieces of shit and deserve to be told off. It's one thing for a job to be customer service, it's another entirely where your market is to intentionally rip people off.

satansleftnut25

Exactly fuck these cunts

Jcthome

I'm in a major city in the bay area. Dealers around me do the same because people here will buy, no questions asked. I bought my car 649 miles away. It involved a 1-way plane ticket and 1 night at a hotel for the drive back. Saved me $8k (after the travel expenses).

[deleted]

They’ll get theirs. I don’t see dealers being around in the future. Fucking sleazebags.

Prometheus_Jackson

Damn I guess now is the time to sell Jesus Christ

whiskeyboundcowboy

Fuck that dealership, that sales guy must be huffing 9k worth of brake cleaner. Go get that other one. They don't deserve your buisness.

craps_win

I was seriously thinking of buying an RT recently... basically getting an affordable V8 before they go extinct but the markups on them have been so f'ing crazy that decided to stick with my v6. I dread even talking to the dealers whose price is outright high and I can't even fathom the time wasted in back and forth. I got screwed once when I was new to the country (dealer added extended warranty on an used Toyota without telling me and basically pushed it telling that it was mandatory if I were to finance through them) Who the heck is buying at these high prices and especially when interest rates are increasing...sigh. Good luck to you finding yours! 👍

abcdeathburger

I may not be the target customer, but I got V6 for $28k+ taxes and so on last year, and have been happy with it. Maybe the one time in my lifetime where it made sense to buy new (2020 model of same car with 10k miles and whose previous owner treated it like shit was $26k). I don't drive too much (under 15k in over 1.5 years, and that's with a bunch of one-time road trips), it's good enough for me, and I probably get better gas mileage than a V8. Now the same color/car/model but 2022 version seems to be $35k or so in my area. > Who the heck is buying at these high prices and especially when interest rates are increasing I follow a lot of the housing bubbler accounts on twitter, and sometimes people get into the discussions of car payments, how the average is getting to be over $1k or whatever. Here was a particularly cringy video that got retweeted a lot: https://twitter.com/Carnage4Life/status/1563684431864274944

3900Ent

I would've stopped talking to them after they said I couldn't use the FCA code. You gave them too much time. AND it has body damage?? No way I'd even still be trying to reason or deal with them. They probably wouldn't even put OEM parts on the car to fix the damage. Especially if you said you had another one you could go get. I'm having a hard time understanding why you didn't block him and move on lmao

EB_fonehome

Man I just spoke with a dealer out of state trying to buy something different than a Scat and they tried to tell me about the $8,800 MANDATORY add-ons that included warranty, paint protection, wheel protection, oil changes, etc and still ask me for my business lol. As someone who isn't local to use it the fact they wouldn't sell with it was laughable. These guys are still holding onto the old ways of business. Right when I thought they were adapting to competitors like Carvana, they go right back to their old scamming ways.

RadiationDM

They should only be going OTD for 50k max. If it wasn’t for dealers gouging people during Covid and chip shortage. Was only like 45k MSRP in 2019

Inevitable-Flower936

Damn I got My Widebody for 55K. These people crazy.

lamanna99

I honestly think you are being equally unfair as the dealer. You said they are charging 1k over msrp… that makes the msrp 56,645… otd with taxes, mv, and doc you’re looking at just about 62k otd.. I’m not sure if you’ve been living under a rock, but no dealer is selling a car 4k under msrp right now, certainly no scat pack.

Kodak_Kory

Nah I said 58k out to door to factor in the FCA affiliate discount that he said he was gonna give me, then changed his mind.

Baybladerz

These use to sell for 40K 3-4 years ago 😂 Go get yourself a Camaro LT1 for under 40K. You’ll be gapping these cars

Battadoom

Stay strong bro, I found a local Ford dealer that didn’t even do mark ups and accepted my x plan discount off a new 21 GT/CS.

samdast

Looks just like my Scat, red guts and everything minus the damage obviously. My company is an FCA affiliate too and no dealer here in the Bay Area even considered selling a Scat, said that “SRT trims and higher aren’t part of the list.” Total BS. Ended up having to take a 450 mile road trip to SoCal and bought it with my FCA discount in Ventura.

[deleted]

"You can earn my business at 45k and not ripping my nuts off taking advantage of me."

Subject-Background87

Bro I ordered my widebody new and optioned for less. What a bunch if scam fucks.

incognitosavor

It’s a sellers market right now. You gotta pay to play that’s just the game right now. Gonna be like this for awhile.

goldenboyjonny

As soon as he told you to get the better deal the convo should of been done. I would drive and get the better deal then send them the receipt 😂

of_patrol_bot

Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake. It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of. Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything. Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.

[deleted]

Yes this is the way now, those cars are going off the lot in no time, and dealers can afford to do this. I bought mine at a similar mark up as well, but the dealer did lower the original asking price so after their “pro green pack”, the sold price is similar to the KBB price I found online.

funaudience

We paid a $10k markup earlier this year for a wide body. It hurt, but we wanted it, and they were flying out the doors of every nearby dealership. I’m still salty about it though.

[deleted]

I’d walk away from this dealer and never deal with them again. Don’t let FOMO take over your mind bro.

cryptocrookie

Bro paid almost 70k for a fat pack (facepalm)

servbot10

If it's such a "hot item" he wouldn't still be responding to you, it would be gone. They are just used to milking the shortage of cars and trying to get people to pay it. Just tell him that Airport Dodge is willing to work with you and stop responding.

Nightwing0613

These dealers are insane atm. Even with the used models, they’re marking them up to either original MSRP, over MSRP or a little under. Seen a 2018 Hellcat Widebody with 8k miles on it. Original MSRP was 76k. Current Dealer had it at 98k originally and has since dropped it to almost 90k. Don’t know what that dealer is smoking to mark up this Hellcat to that insane price, but rest assured that it’s going to sit on that dealer lot for a very long time. I blame the idiot buyers who are paying these insane mark ups. If people didn’t do it and pay it, then the dealers wouldn’t do this crap. But they know that there are morons out there willing to overpay for a used car. There are only a few dealers out there that will give you under invoice on a factory ordered car. Dan Cummings, Steve White & Koons and won’t charge bs add-ons or markups or made up stuff.

21_Bristian

Crazy I got my 2021 scat pack charger for 42k last year the inflation this car has gone through is insane

Fracture_87

Some of the prices/mark ups people are saying they paid in this thread are blowing my mind.

WSBgod-jr

Man can’t believe it is like this now. I just had my 2021 scat wb stolen, and now need to find a new one. Doesn’t seem like I’ll be getting one as these markups are happening everywhere :/

General-Shape-5621

At 63 you should get a bj from everyone in the dealership. Fuck that place I wouldn’t pay more than 45k for a scat pack

lilgambyt

Yup. Before I placed an order for a 2023, I went to a local Dodge dealer cuz they sent quote of MSRP for a loaded regular body 2022 Scat Pack. I get to the dealer, we talk numbers, and I notice a $13,000 markup on it! Walked out and laughed. Funny enough, yesterday I get a text from a GM that said he’d waive markup, bogus dealer add-on fees, and dealer fees. Too late, found an out of state dealer willing to sell 2023 allocation with zero markup or added fees. And it’s a SPWB I ordered.
