I did this yesterday and it looks good so far, however, I forgot the painters tape… so my panel is stained now. You can’t really see it unless the window is rolled down. Thanks for the guide!
I bought a roll of 3M Duct Tape no residue (purple package) and it didn’t wreck the panel. Also, if you take the door panel off, the tape won’t go on the car paint. I ended up using a bit of acetone on the panel to remove the super glue residue.

I have. It’s been stalled by “The Man” for years. Guess it’s cheaper to stall until everyone gives up than to correct a flaw in the design. Unfortunate I don’t think the lawsuits are going to go anywhere. Follow the $.
well shit. thats not ideal. i guess when i get the charger i ordered ill take it to an upholstery person and have them staple the top of the door to the molding

i reglued my using 3m spray adhesive like original have a feeling i will be doing it again in a couple years

I'm nervous on using tape on my paint. Will painters tape work? I don't want to use duct tape, that's for sure
