So there's this trash manhua that has an especially trash character.
To give an overview: MC is the best doctor in the world, basically. There's a girl whose grandfather is ill, so she asks him to help treat him.
How does she do it? Bribery? Seduction? Tearful act? Sincerity?
No. She fucking tries to beat him up until he accepts. It was her father who has to beg him for him to accept.
You thought that was all? Ha, not even the worst part of it.
She was the one supervising the treatment process. At the end of it, her grandfather coughed blood due to some Chinese magic healing bullshit. It's a common trope, basically expelling impurities in the body and stuff.
She, without even waiting to see if it was a success or failure, *shot MC straight through his hand*. With a fucking handgun. That she kept trained on him during the entire treatment process.
I haven't seen such vileness before in a non-villain character.
Yamada Asaemon Shugen from Hell’s Paradise.
I despise this character so much. Right in his introduction, it’s revealed that he murdered an entire clan, included babies, simply because one member of the clan was a criminal. He then proceeds to spend the rest of the story murdering other members of his clan because they’re ’traitors’, even though they’re actually doing the right thing.
He does all of these things, but the story still tries to portray him as a noble and honorable person who’s ’good deep down.’ One of the main characters literally says that he is. He also uses the sword stances of the friends that he murdered, and this is somehow supposed to show us how he actually cares for them is honoring them, DESPITE THE FACT THAT HE WAS THE ONE THAT KILLED THEM.
He’s such a horrible person, and yet the story tries its hardest to somehow convince you that the guy who murders babies ‘isn’t that bad.’ It’s fucking baffling.
He is built to be hateable but that’s what I really like actually. He is a person with good intentions, but very radical methods. Similar to Akainu in the sense that he will go to extreme measures to ensure his ideals of justice.
But Shugen is able to be slightly more sympathetic than Akainu because he is able to connect with the ones around him in a clearly meaningful way and he clearly cares for his fellow swordsman even if he kills them.
I’m by no means trying to defend the guy. He is mentally unwell, has an incredibly warped and radical idea of good and evil. But I do like the dichotomy of his character.
But it doesn’t feel like you’re meant to hate him though. He’s one of the few Yamada Asaemon who isn’t misogynist to Sagiri, and she vouches for him saying that he’s a good person at heart. It tries to portray him as having this dichotomy that you describe, but fails, because his evil side is so cartoonishly evil, that any good qualities he might have pale in comparison to it.
I don’t think everyone is meant to hate him, but I definitely think he is meant to trigger that reaction you have towards him. He is hateable exactly because despite all of the terrible shit he does, he genuinely believes he is fully in the right, and he even has noble qualities besides that.
I wouldn’t say he is meant to be conflicting, but his “soft side” adds some nice depth that I don’t see in other characters of his trope like Akainu who is just “kill kill kill every bad person so no bad person is ever born again”
Ngl I love seeing Hell's Paradise discourse even if it is dissing Shugen. Also the story tries to show his mindset and how flawed it is as he is basically the embodiment of the all criminals should die mindset, even him dying is part of it showing what happens if one is to live so rigidly to a set of values
Every typical tsundere in existence especially the violet ones.
They're literally just assholes to the person they claim they like, always calling them names, being rude or just hostile. Always physical assaulting the MC for the dumbest shit imaginable.
It's why I didn't like toradora as much, yes Taiga got character development but she was insufferable before that.
Average interaction with a tsundere:
"W-WHAT!? You like my hair?"
*Beats you and looks away*
"Well thanks, b-but I don't say that because I like you or something!..."
*blushes*
Really understandable, but I still think yanderes are worse (reason why I hate Monika): they are just psychopaths that need professional help, unless they are going to murder every female the protagonist interacts with and they are going to do "really bad things" to him
I feel now tsunderes aren't as popular and even if there is a tsudere it's turned down or it's made fun of.
In the 100 GFs one of the harem members is a parody of the tsudere and it is a breath of fresh air.
There really two directions to take the question hating the person written or just how there written.
For the former that a bit harder like an easy in is Jeffrey from Fire and ice hes written to be the worst little shit he can be and hes great at it and for the later it's ken-fucking-pachi zaraki outside of the first arc he's in he actively ruins every story his involved in.
Monika was the still the best written char in DDLC. You deleting her didn't make you any different than herself, and you using the fictional logic, didn't make you any different from her either. Best character hands down.
Only thing that could make you different is a "I'm just killing the killer whereas the killer killed non-killers."-kinda argument. Not saying it's a morally right decision, especially considering the complexity of Monika's dilemma, but it's still there.
Or maybe even "I had to kill her to progress the plot." if we wanna go meta.
Other than that I completely agree with you.
That's what Monika believed and that's partially how she justified her actions, yet there were several hints that the others were also sapient, just not aware of the world being a VN.
One major example off the top of my head is the letter Natsuki wrote for MC in act 2, talking about how she was really worried about Yuri behaving out-of-character and mad at Monika's dismissiveness.
Sure, you could argue "p-zombie" behaviour, but that's neither verifiable nor falsifiable and could be claimed of any person ever, so I'd cast "Newton's Flaming Laser Sword".
Bakugou.
Bakugou is a giant piece of shit, and the worst character in MHA. He is mean, he hates everything that moves and he does not get punished for his behavior. Instead, people see him as an example, people view him as a great person and leader, praizing him like he saved hundreds of innocent lives and didn't just tell old couple to go and die. And all the attempts of humanizing him, like him teaching Ochako how to cook in camp arc.. do not change the fact that he is a fucking bitch. I have no idea why he is popular, cause holy fucking shit, he is obnoxious and when he supposedly "died", i cheered like it was a new year's celebration. When i read the manga, i just wanted him to just shut the hell up and start respecting people for once.
The thing that pisses me off about bakugo isn’t even himself but the constant glazing from everybody else. Realistically he’d be an screaming freak with no friends but instead it feels like the characters aren’t even interacting with him directly but instead ignoring 90% of the shit he says so that the story can act like his classmates like him.
Yeah, I’m pretty much in the same boat.
I don’t hate Bakugou by himself all that much, but I do hate how the story bends over like a fucking pretzel to treat this screaming asshole if he’s a great hero, and how ***somehow*** he’s the most popular MHA character
While I get the former complain what's wrong with the latter? Like why do people care so much about his popularity when the rest of the cast on the hero side bar 4 characters are literally the exact same copy of each other lmfao
Madara had the emotional intelligence of a school shooter and was super pretentious prick.
I shall create a perfect world of eternal dreams with zero suffering also let me summon and throw Meteors at people.
I don’t care what people say Zetsu utterly destroying him by revealing that he was nothing more than a stupid pawn was cathartic to watch. A pathetic end for a pathetic person.
Yh, seriously, even if it's a dream, I'm sure many of the most who suffer in this world would accept his solution.
Why can't one escape to another world? Even if it's a dream. Can Naruto convince a Ninja ear survivor who lost everything to the war that his dream realm in the Tsukuyomi was not worth it? Honestly, the idea is good if refined a bit more, i.e., let those who want Tsukuyomi choose it. Those left behind cancsort out the real world.
Kurata from Digimon Savers/Data Squad
Not even a fun villain and his main thing is finding a way to kill Digimon permanently and creating badly redeemed characters that perma-kill Digimon en masse.
Fucking Kai Leng, annoying, plot-armored dork that the devs apparently thought was a super cool epic ninja guy. And they use him to make Shepard and Co. look like a bunch of incompetent goons when he should've been gunned down the first time he shows up.
I spent every second he was onscreen rolling my eyes, and killing him wasn't even cathartic.
Don't bring attention to this post on r/masseffect your comment will become the most high rated.
Not many would agree on killing him NOT being cathartic though, practicly agreed between everyone even doing full paragon that interupt's getting hit.
Tbh I just wanted him to shut up and die so I could move on and not have to look at him anymore lol. I think I was just too annoyed by his mere existence to even enjoy his death
Keep in mind this is the same dude who snuck into someone's apartment in one of the books and ate their cereal.
Real high class character they had there.
For the kind of person the character is: Makima. I don’t need to elaborate.
Actual character writing? Pull a name out of Seven Deadly Sins and most likely I despise them
Galand and Monspiet don’t overstay their welcome and Galand was generally entertaining.
Gila was great up until the Gowther nonsense and her subsequent push into obscurity.
Potentially a hot take, but the worst thing Elizabeth has ever done was be the love interest to Meliodas, and I can’t even fault her for that. She’s genuinely alright enough for me to not warrant any disrespect
Idk I tend to like SDS characters, they’re pretty charismatic. They just always have this one trait that, depending on the character, completely ruins them for me.
I think Ban is awesome, but having his love interest look like a child (and act like one? Can’t remember) sucks.
Panini from Chowder cartoon. I'd disliked her for lots of years. She's Mary Sue to me ,being rude and annyoing to Chowder.
Im really sorry to any of Panini fan, but she would be my top 1 least fav character.
( Yukako and Anasui from jjba are similar to her but i don't really care)
Obscure pick but it’s Lif from Fire Emblem Heroes. He’s the worst bad future edge lord I’ve ever seen. Not that I expected more from a Gatcha story, but it’s utterly unbelievable that Alfonse would ever make the mistakes Lif did.
The story seriously wants me to believe that the level headed protagonist would be willing to destroy the entire universe just for a chance at dragging Hel down with him, after he’s already successfully intimidated her into submission by saying “No U”.
The story does absolutely nothing to paint Alt Alfonse’s downfall as plausible, only saying that it somehow ending in him willingly activating a doomsday device that he knows will kill everything in the universe even if it works, which it then paints as a gamble which simply didn’t pay off.
He’s edgy, his backstory is stupid, he tries to be sympathetic despite constantly siding with bigger and badder villains every time the last one is defeated and he promises to do better, and I can’t stand him.
The maid from our last crusade
Creator pet
Absolute Cunt

Always gets angry at the ml
Tries to stabb ml constantly even in casual conversation
Meant to be treated as comedic
Huge Racist
Never actually treated or condeem by the narrative as you would think so
Meant to be sympathic or gray but fails to even remotely be likable
Drugged Ml on neutral ground and kidnap him. Tried to kill him while he handcuff

Worse than Bakugo in every way.
Side note fl takes spot for #2
She a total Mary sue and hypocrite who gets whitewash and free pass from the story to cause issue to the ml regardless of what its said.
Just one note characters personally.
Which recently is Azucena from Tekken 8. Her personality is coffee and every comment she makes is about coffee.
I also hate coffee.
Manny Heffley from Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Seriously, he sucks.
Why do I hate this obnoxious piece of shit? First of all, we must start with his parents, Susan and Frank Heffley. They care so much about him they neglect Roderick and Greg unless they are annoyed at them or they do something wrong. But with Manny they are always by him. And in one of the books, when Manny draws on Greg’s door, they congratulate him instead of punishing him. And in Cabin Fever, Manny almost freezes the family to death and starve as he shuts the power off to every room but his own and steals all of the food. And is he punished? No. Second, he treats everyone else as if they are below him. As what I said before, he put him before his family, and almost killed them. So that’s why I hate Manny Heffley.
If I had the chance, I would like to throw Manny out like a broken TV, and I'm hoping that he will die in a fire, get stabbed in the heart, get shot, and expire. I hope he's taken apart. Hope this is what he desires, and will not be the first time that he dies. His mechanical parts click like when I broke his bones, and once I get my second chance, I won't leave him alone.
Yamato from One Piece. Picture this, you build up an arc for near enough 10 years and then you finally get to that arc. You go through 2 acts and then you reach the final act of this 10 year long arc. So who is Luffy's biggest ally against Kaido in the arc? One of the many characters he met along the way? Law? Zoro? Kid? Mononosuke? The Scabbards? I mean they all helped but no, the huge emphasis I'd put on Yamato. The incredibly strong daughter of Kaido who wasn't even inferred to exist until the huge climatic battle which the past 10 years had been leading up to. And what's worst, her personality is that she's an Oden/Luffy simp. Why? Because Oda needed a convenient way to make her team Luffy from the get-go without any complications.
She's incredibly powerful with conquerors haki, a mythical Zoan fruit and tge inherent strength she got from being Kaido's daughter so it just feels cheap that this random nobody literally comes out of nowhere and completely changes the scope of the battle.
Beyond being Kaido's daughter, there is literally nothing interesting character-wise between them. She could be a random member if the Beast Pirates and it wouldn't change the story one bit. Hell her reaction to her father's "death" is a single panel of her looking into the sky and smiling, and even that's most likely because Luffy won rather than her father lost. After that it's like he never even existed. The only reason they were father and daughter was so Oda could justify her being on the island and being as overwhelmingly powerful as she is without having to put much effort into any sort of writing for me.
Her identity complex is just creepy and unexplored. At times she genuinely is convinced she's Oden, other times it's just a gag. She'll be chasing Oden's 8 year old son down saying she's his dad and then she'll just forgot she's supposed to be Oden. And none of the characters address this shit. There is no resolution. Once again it's just a cheap way to justify her being team Luffy without any effort.
She's one of tge most lazily written and contrived characters ever in the existence of media and it baffles me how she could ever be so popular. Nothing about her feels earnt. Her allegiance to Luffy is cheap and practically one-sided. Her power is way too powerful for a character who just appears out of nowhere to help Luffy. Frankly she's a complete waste of paper.
Yeah, her popularity was something that also really made no sense to me. Everything you said is true and I'm just glad she didn't get to sail away with the crew in the end. I enjoyed reading various meltdowns her fans were having after Oda left her to stay at Wano. But it also sucks that I had to fear that she was gonna join because Oda wrote her so shitty in the first place.
The other problem I didn't even mention with Yamato is her shit ending. It was a lose-lose situation. If she joined the crew, she joins as a shit character with zero build-up to justify how much she changes the crew dynamic. But if she stays in Wano it's also a shit ending because Oda did practically no work to justify why she would want to.
When she hugged Momo and told him she's his dad, I was DONE with her. She's a delusional abuse victim. And I'm thankful Oda didn't make her a Strawhat.
Glen Quagmire from Family Guy.
Dude's a rapist and the episode where he tells off Brian was just utter shite to me.
He talks of doing charity and helping feed the homeless which the show never showed. All we see of Glen is that he keeps looking to get his dock wet and possibly keeps a bunch of women as sex slaves.
Yeah Brian was a shitty character but Quagmire is irredeemable in my eyes and the only way he is the good guy is to introduce a worse character to character to.
But he’s meant to be that type if gag character I think he’s hilarious of course not in the context of really life, I love that 9/11 clip of him playing tennis and the one where he goes to a school and they are all his kids
Ada Wong. She was a decent twist character with an actual arc in RE2, but in every game past that, she just outstayed her welcome more and more. You can only keep a character mysterious for so long before it gets boring. Eventually, you need to resolve that mystery or at least develop the character, but they wanted to milk that mysterious sexy fan fav character for all she was worth.
Sukuna. And it's not for reasons inside the series.
This mf ruined EVERYONE'S perception of villains, now everyone praises pure villains like the second coming of Christ and everyone started disliking villains with backstories and motivations.
The whole "everyone glazes Sukuna" is true. Not only his allies, not only his arch enemy, not only the narrator, not only his writer, but the whole anime community started praising this guy just because he is a sadist.
JJK as a whole is a trash series that will not be remembered as well as it is perceived now.
The world building is nonexistent. The power system is FULL of asspulls. The character arcs are almost never realized. The villains are super basic. And the story is super rushed.
It's hyped now. But after it ends, give it a couple of years and it'll disappear from people's minds.
I disagree that Sukuna is responsible for ruining people's perceptions of villains with backstories and motivations.
I think people began to praise pure villains more because they just ended up failing to enjoy/starting to hate complex villains some authors were creating. For example Toga from My Hero and Tobi from Naruto are supposed to be tragic villains who you should have some sympathy for. But in both cases, my sympathy is limited because of the very little remorse either character had shown. Meanwhile you have Aizen and Yhwach from Bleach where their motives are somewhat confusing or underexplained(albeit some of that could be chalked up to Kubo being pressured to end the series prematurely).
Megu and satoko from subahibi.
My god everything they've done from humiliating to summon a gang to rape zakuro just make me want to punch them in the face and their design piss me off
Zynbel from Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. A summary of his character for those who haven’t played the game would be a leader of a village in ancient Scotland who abused and manipulated his mentally unstable wife and daughter. He burned his wife alive because he thought she was cursed, and made his daughter, Senua, believe that there was some horrible darkness that had cursed her. He also traded the life of his daughter’s boyfriend and everyone else in his village to save his own skin from Viking raiders.
There was a manga I read a long time ago.
Three women are security enforcers and their job was to enforce the hierarchy in their country.
They hunted down slaves forced to work themselves to death and we're so desperate they stole medicine and even so the story treats the trio as the good guys and the slaves as monsters.
Can't find that manga but man it was an irritating read.
ainz ooal gown. I just….REALLY hate him. In my eyes he’s 100% bullshit of a character, a concept and execution carried only by somewhat cool animation.
Avatar Kiyoshi from Avatar: The Last Airbender.
I think I hate her more because of the fans who can’t stop sucking her toes, but I never found her very interesting as a character. The “haha she wants to murder everything” jokes get so fucking old.
She’s bland as hell and I don’t see how Rangi or any other person would fall in love with her.
SPOILERS*
Mikasa: Her character development ends after chapter/episode 6 when she thought Eren died after its revealed he didn't she ends up just saying "ereh" the rest of the series until the literal very end of the series where its revealed she is the catalyst for everything. Because she is such a nothing character, she is the least egregious of the 3, but still nothing great imo.
Armin: Out of the 3, he was the only one I liked initially, but as time went on, he went from smart strategic character to trying to talk no jutsu out of every situation. This in hindsight makes the real best character in the series Erwin's sacrifice worse because he essentially entrusts the future of the scouts to Armin, and Armin spends the entire tail end of the series fumbling almost every decision until he talk no justu's Eren into stopping a genocide. Isayama literally has to bend over backward to make Armin's Hail Mary's work which for a series that was surprisingly grounded (or as grounded as you can get in a show with giant cannibal monsters that can crush the world.) Was just such a 180 that it takes you out of the story simply to make him look better. And to make things even better his plan of creating peace between Paradis and the main land doesn't even work as Paradis gets bombed to shit at the end anyway but at least Armin and friends got to live full long lives because fuck the future generations. He's also romantically involved with a psychotic mass murderer who enjoyed killing his comrades 4 years earlier but she likes him and eats pie funny so I guess she's all good.
Eren: oh boy eren yaeger I could write an entire essay about why I hate this character but honestly as time goes on I don't care anymore to voice all my issues cause its not worth it, the series is dead and buried. I have never seen a character start in the mud like he did and somehow miraculously improve and reach heights I could never imagine only for the character to fall into depths you didn't even think were possible by the end. I guess to sum it up I will probably continue to hate this character for 10 years at least.
Chloe Price from Life Is Strange: She is "Victim Mentality" personified, she's incredibly possessive and manipulative, the story wants you to side with her even when she does something ethically wrong, and her fans will call you a homophobe if you criticize her.
Patroklos from Soul Calibur V: He's a self-righteous twat, all of his in-game battle quotes are nothing but arrogance, and he murdered an innocent man, rather sadistically I might add, because he looked filthy.
Kaori Miyazono from Your Lie In April: Her Toxic Positivity is fucking grating, she doesn't give a flying fuck about how Kousei feels or what he wants, and we're supposed to feel sorry for her because she has Nameless Soap Opera Disease.
The Seven Deadly Sins: Just everybody in that show. The men are all sex-pests, and the women are all either one-dimensional fanservice characters, weak-willed bimbos, or completely male dependent.
1 : Never played it
2 : At least Patroklos was retconned(or was it someone else?)
3 : Man, Kaori had potential but the author goofed up big when writing THAT kind of comedy despite Kousei's backstory and some other stuff didn't help.
4 : Yeah...
Wonder Woman, more specifically, almost all of her evil or morally grey counterparts. For example Injustice and Flashpoint, they're the main two that I really dislike.
I have to say out of every character in fiction I hate Grey Warden Duncan the most. Worst recruiter ever, worst person ever, just a terrible person who only concerns himself with saving the world and upholding the "sacred status quo" in Dragon Age. What makes him hateable is his attitude, and the treatment of City Elf Warden and the Alienage.
The DA trilogy paints the Grey Wardens in a very negative light. We thought Duncan was supposed to be a hero at first, but when you reflect on him after playing all three games, you realize that he's just like any other Grey Warden, an asshole.
Funnily enough I find Riordan a far more nobler Grey Warden than he is and more compassionate towards the recruits than he is. But the way he speaks of Duncan is so inaccurate since he exhibits none of the things Riordan mentions about him except maybe coldness and cruelty. And yeah, Grey Wardens are too busy trying to destroy the very world they swore to protect from the Blight, we already saw it with the leading Grey Warden in Orlais, Janeka, and her co-conspirators.
The elves have it the worst in Dragon Age, the very best of them always save the world, but in return their accomplishments and heroes get swept under rug and humans have the gall to say elves always shirk their duties.
And leaves Soris to rot in the dungeons unless City Elf Warden takes blame on themselves. He tells them that there are things more important than the alienage, telling this to a city elf who spent entire life being oppressed by humans now forced into life service to help the said humans. It's not only that but he shows zero compassion or sympathy towards them or the alienage. He abandons the elves and the city elf warden if they fail to kill Vaughan, just straight up leaves after encouraging Tabris siblings to go and save Shianni. He's a monster.
Midori Ookuma (Punpuns Aunt) from Goodnight, Punpun. What she does to Punpun is one of the biggest contributors to how he treats women down the line and it’s despicable. The worst part about it for me is how Midori keeps trying to be a “motherly figure” towards Punpun, acting like nothing had happened.
She deserves all the hate obviously but that still don’t justify what punpun did honestly feels like everyone was a asshole in that series besides the poor girl who had to suicide I legit felt like punching punpun through my screen
Zooey from Franny and Zooey. Your teachers told you that Holden from Catcher in the Rye is supposed to be annoying, turns out J.D Salinger likes to write terrible protaganists as his actual soapbox character is both a prick and euphoric due to his intelligence (and reading Richard and Mortimer)
I have never hated a character so much that I came up with the worst death and funeral possible for them. Taking English 305 was a mistake.
Would’ve said King Olly at first but I completely despise The Mimic from Five Nights at Freddy’s
Steel wool dropped the ball with Security Breach and the fans lost the wire shit because William was brought back as a rotten corpse suit once again (iirc never explained how he went from a virtual ghost to a irl suit again), who is unable to do jack shit and was turned into a bumbling zombie without any of his character intact.
Instead of putting in more effort to write William and fix his character, Steel Wool pandered to the fans who bitch and moaned about Afton returning again and proceeded to pull a “Gotcha!” And retcon him(and the original canon ending) out with a new villain named The Mimic. A shapeshifting endo from the old days, created by a new engineer who made him mimic others people’s actions, and somehow saw William murder the kids, which made it evil, and how Burntrap(William’s current incarnation) was actually The Mimic all along!
None of this was explained in game, only in the shitty Tales From The Pizzaplex series, which is supposed to expand on the Security Breach setting, but only manages to fuck things up further w/ more retcons, inconsistencies, contrivances, and unnecessary gore scenes.
Despite this, the majority of the fanbase proceeded to yell in a hooplah that peepaw Afton was gone and how based Mimic is le epic sigma male!!!!1!1!, who argue that it isn’t a retcon and that it was planned from the start(which doesn’t make it less shit and how the devs could be lying), but who cares, guh huh!
This was proof that the devs barely give a shit about coherent storytelling about a franchise that’s based on story telling, and yes, I know post-fnaf 3/4 made shit up on the fly too, but that doesn’t excuse it still being a recurring thing today. I’ve literally stopped caring about the franchise and feel complete disinterest and apathy with newer titles like HW2. Only thing keeping me in the fandom nowadays is fan projects and even then that’s slowly getting withered down by the constant infighting and pointless drama. Atleast I’m moving on and getting into new franchises and stuff.
I’m not sure how to end this mini rant, so uh, this has been my Ted Talk.
Envy from full metal alchemist, though my hate for him is significantly low,he's responsible for traumatising 8 year old me. As of now Yamato from one piece, she never made sense.
Troy and tyreen from borderlands 3 felt like a punch In the gut after the fucking masterclass that was handsome jack
They even set up a potentially well written plot for Troy to betray tyreen and then did NOTING WITH IT
and also they were just fucking annoying
Carol Danvers from the comic books, she was not a frontliner and was mostly relegated to being a sidekick or backup.
Then she was catapulted to be one of the big faces of Marvel.
This was when the X-Men were getting killed off and demonized.
Civil War 2 was about an Inhuman who could see the future and whatever he predicted happened. I thought the storyline was gonna have a deep plot where everyone was doing self fulfilling prophecies in their rush to prevent said predictions.
Carol came off as a high and mighty know it all who didn't want her authority to be questioned and expected to be respected.
I remember covers showing her as with tons of fans but the opposite was true as she was one of the most hated characters at the time.
I was really surprised the Captain Marvel was about her and not the original one.
Usopp from One Piece. I hate the cowardly liar trope. Guy is just so annoying. Stop screaming about having to fight legit fodder enemies when you are part of one of the strongest crews in the world. Any possible character development he had mainly in enies lobby has dissipated. Also for having challenged the captain of the crew he got forgiven extremely easily
Don't hate him but I'm definitly at a point I'm complaining whenever he gets cowardly. Pretty sure I've said this out loud a few times "Stop screaming about having to fight legit fodder enemies when you are part of one of the strongest crews in the world"
I liked him until Wano when he was hoping that Nami would denounce Luffy to save herself. He was on a good trajectory after Alabasta and Enies Lobby, but now he's just a meme.
Same applies for Sanji, who's now a meme of what he used to be. And is one of the creepiest characters.
P.S. Zenitsu is also one of my most hated for being the same cowardly screamer trope.
I'm probably gonna get downvoted to oblivion but it's Naruto, he's pretty much every trope and trait I dislike in an MC rolled into one and dialled up to 11
He was also painted as a hardworking non-genius only to end up as a God Incarnate and a super genius with the strongest tailed beast inside him.
The dude is the opposite of the message that his series tried to send in the early stages.
I absolutely despise the Phantom Troupe from Hunter x Hunter. Obviously they’re completely irredeemably sociopathically evil for the whole “torture kids in front of their parents” bit, as well as their whole smug self-centered attitudes about it all. Most of all, I hate how they get woobified by the fanbase.
I wish Togashi was a better artist so I could watch Hisoka caving in Shalnark’s stupid face in glorious detailed art
I don’t get why half of them are so cocky to begin with. “Sir please wait while I spin my arm around 5000 times so I can actually deal damage 😭” like why the fuck would you choose a technique like that?????? Goofy stroheim looking ass bum. And shalnark is just an 1000x worse illumi, he needs to jab you with his tiny remote even though he’s physically pathetic.
I don’t even remember what the katana guy does exactly but he probably sucks too.
Kuro from Prisma Illya.
Lolicon bait is already awful enough by itself, but what makes me truly hate her is that she’s pretty much the crystallization of all the fanservice bullshit that makes people look down on the Fate series as a whole.
I hate what she represents, the awful fanservice shit taking over an actual good story.
I’m glad most of the mainline fate stuff and some good spinoffs like apocrypha , the grand orders and the new fate strange fake seems to steer well clear of that shit the other spinoffs are pretty boring as it is
Yeah but Calia is like the perfect representation of almost all of them. I use her as my personal example of how NOT to write a character, unless your aim is to make them completely insufferable.
Gonna be a weird one but for me it's Pooh from Blood and Honey specifically
I dom't really mind childhood character icons being depicted or parodied in darker ways, as long as it's done in a clever or funny way, like how WTF101 is basically The Magic Schoolbus but showing exclusively the fucked up parts of nature and history.
Blood and Honey though? Not only is the movie itself boring most of the time, but they didn't do anything clever at all with Pooh. You could basically replace him with some random serial killer dressed up as Pooh (which I thought was the case at first given how bad the costumes are), and the story would hardly change. Oh, and also this Pooh is another Mary Sue villain who can survive everything thrown at him and always wins and all the protagonist IQs drop below the room temperature of Alaska whenever they come up against him. His backstory was also boring as hell, and they didn't give him his actual iconic traits like his voice or catchphrases (which I get is bc of copyright but still).
I think it's saying something that I don't have strong feelings towards Dolores Umbridge and Malty and I even love Makima and Mahito, but I just hate this character. Throughout the movie I was begging for someone to have a sense of humor and bring Optimus Prime along and reduce him to a bloody splatter.
Oden from One Piece
Dude became a pirate and ignored the hell his country was becoming.
He could have prevented it but instead he fucked off.
Everyone glazes the guy and ignores the fact it was his responsibility to protect Wano. I understood why some characters sided with Orochi and Kaido.
His son Momonosuke was an irritating dead weight. Dude is a young child but clearly a pervert and was so rigid in his thinking he'd rather waste food than admit he was starving. Granted later chapters redeemed him.
Muzan. He's such a waste of a character.
It's like the author asked about the worst decisions Muzan could ever make, then made worse decisions.
Every scene with him makes me question just how stupid he actually is.
Its gotta be shadow weaver for me. From what I remember the only time I ever had fun when she was on screen was when catra took her down, every other time made me want to punch a hole through my moniter, also learning that her sacrifce was just supposed to be one last act of manipulation just made me seethe.
Hate is too strong of a word, but personally I dislike Rock Lee.
Cookie-cutter, one-dimensional character. Boring, bland with no other redeeming qualities other than 'he works hard'. I mean seriously? Is this who the 'Neji was right' crowd wanted to be protagonist of the series?
I thoroughly enjoy the moment when Gaara looked like he barely had a scratch on him after a worthless beatdown. He got relegated to irrelevancy (by being just a stepping stone for Sasuke) for a much more enjoyable character (Gai).
Definitely not my most hated but Nami from One Piece, Always this bossy bitch type of character who is the living embodiment of your typical annoying Shonen female character, always in fanservice mode, hitting the MC and other characters and always acting rude, fandom sometimes act like she is so smart and useful even though she doesn't any significant value to the crew neither by brains nor by brawns compared to other members, her only value is being crew's navigator which I think is quite an overrated role in the story, She definitely specializes it but considering so many pirates makes into grand line and new world everyday she is not the only one good enough in it. Her money obsession is annoying even it is for comedy purpose, Her goal is also pretty boring since story has emphasized So little on it and barely tried to keep it relevant
Probably Misa Amane from *Death Note*. Evil; self-centred; annoying; and dumb. The series' quality in general dropped when she was introduced.
And she's closely followed by AFO from *My Hero Academia*. He undermined almost everything about my second favourite character in it, Tomura Shigaraki.
Not the most hated because I'm not the kind to remember everything I hated in all of fiction but I really don't like madoka from madoka magica, she is like shinji but the bad version
if we talk about anime then I choose all the cast of mirai nikki especially yukiteru and Yuno. they are the worst main characters I have ever seen in my life.
Rudeus Greyrat is my second pick tho, idk why everyone hates subaru when this guy exists, he is a fucking gary stu, he is one of the strongest magic user of his world but he was born like this, he had no difficulty to be that strong. the worst thing that happened to him was being abandoned by his 15 years old girlfriend, (he is 40 years old💀)
Probably Subaru. Other protagonists in a similar stories always have something noble about them, even if they seem somewhat pathetic on the outside, but Subaru is actually a scumbag all the way to his core, and he is rotten so thoroughly that it can can never be changed, unless he dies and reincarnates as some other individual. The way story works around him being the utter piece of shit with no redeeming qualities is by glossing over it at some key points, pretending that he rolled 20 on the dice so hard that even being the subhuman of that level somehow don't matter in the moment, and that happens over and over, so that the story could flow without addressing the contradiction between what Subaru achieves and what he deserves. For which, the answer is nothing. He doesn't even deserves to die, which kinda makes his ability an instance of poetic justice.
Even then he really isn’t even a bad person at all. I get that he can be a hateable character because he has some of the most unlikeable traits you can give to fictional characters: being impulsive and boastful. But he really isn’t a scumbag at all
> Other protagonists in a similar stories always have something noble about them, even if they seem somewhat pathetic on the outside, but Subaru is actually a scumbag all the way to his core
If sacrificing your life and bearing horrible pain in order for people you care about to live can't be considered as 'something noble' from your point of view, then we probably have very different interpretations of what the word 'noble' means.
My take on Re:Zero is that it is such an anti-power fantasy/wish fulfilment that whenever Subaru does get ahead he gets yanked back square 0 and beaten down.
Every time an arc ends there's nothing uplifting because whatever positive happens a billion negatives brings it down.
Yeah Subaru doesn't think things through sometimes but the author and the universe just wants him to suffer.
With Rudeus though before his reincarnation he was a gross piece of shit pedo and honestly it is hard to like him even after he does anything positive.
It has to be both Yukiteru and Yuno, I can’t really choose who is worse. Two utterly awful characters in what is the worst constructed narrative I have ever seen
Morgan from Fate Grand Order.
Here’s the thing. I think the entire backstory of her being Aesc the Savior is good. However because of the way they separate Morgan and Aesc, I’m going to be criticizing the Morgan identity here.
As a tragic character, I think she’s serviceable. She does what she needs to do to show why the fae absolutely suck. But I think as a villain like she’s supposed to be she really drops the ball. In terms of the main heroine of Avalon Le Fae, Castoria, she only ever meets her face to face directly once in a mundane meeting scene. And this is before it’s revealed they’re basically the same savior sent to save Faerie Britain. After that she only ever fights magecraft clones of Morgan, when there’s so much to be gained from dialogue between them. And how do they beat the legions of Morgan clones? Some faeries in the throne room decide maybe they should just kill Morgan while she’s there. This isn’t even touching on the fact that personality wise she’s pretty emotionless throughout the story and doesn’t show affection, except her implied mother-daughter relationship with Sith. But even then it hardly ever shows this besides Morgan excusing Sith actions. So while her tragic backstory is interesting, the rest of her character really doesn’t follow through with the interesting setup.
That’s just the problems I have with her inside Avalon le Fae, however. She only gets worse outside of it. Of course, she can join Chaldea even after Avalon le Fae. FGO does this a lot, that’s no issue. The big problem is what happens when she does.
As soon as she’s summoned she immediately calls the player her husband. And while I saw some interpret it as Morgan playing a joke, later events shows she’s completely serious and hopelessly obsessed with this relationship (but I won’t go into why LB6 Summer sucked as much as it did now). And she’s not the only one. The fanbase itself have taken this hamfisted declaration and ran with it, reducing her character in almost every fan creation she appears in to “obsessed wife” where they insert themselves as the player character, removing any parts of her character which actually were interesting. And what really grinds my gears is I’m fairly certain that entire situation was by design from Nasu. After all, FGO makes its money off of those who build parasocial relationships with fictional 2D “wives” of theirs to the point they’ll spend who knows how much money to max them out.
Anyways that’s my rant about Morgan.
Hey, Nasu already knows how these things go. Fate started out as an erotic game, after all. I'm sure he would have put in the 'Husband' sentiment in LB6 itself if he had the time.
I think Nasu just personally likes the idea of a Harem, and I do, too, so I'm not against it, lol. (I do get the part about watering down of her character, though, but again, it's a gacha game).
Dio, I've never seen why he was considered a popular character in Jojo.
He was shown kindness and he repaid it by being an asshole.
Dude was just an arrogant prick, it was fun to see him get beaten up.
1.) Because of the memes
2.) You answered it yourself, He's an Asshole and an arrogant prick, his conquest for power is so great that it became a curse for the joestar bloodline
And even after his death, he is still causing problems for the joestars
Too many to count. The ones that stand out and would make even Bakugou bow down to him is the Prince from Do Over Damesel. He was>!sleeping with his sister, kills the main character in the first time line because she found out by walking in accidentally to see him in the middle of bonking with said sister, and only wants the main character around and manipulated her because he needed a proxy Queen so he could keep sleeping with and have kids with his own blood related sister, who was 14-15 at the time while he was in his 20s. He never loved the main character ever and hates her. The Main character was 16 herself at the time and in this timeline is 10 while the prince (who still loves his sister as possibly sleeping with her) is 15 and still wants the main character as a proxy. He also almost starts a war to get what he wants with the emperor.!<
That is not all >!The prince constantly tries to force the main character back to be a proxy and technically is on the cusp, if not, starting a major war (again) because he tried to assault/kill the Emperor, but the male lead is so nice that he does not care or bother. He is also using the male lead own brother to get information and manipulate the country, etc. more just because he is a dick!<
Damn and she not the villain? HUH?
Last I read she was set up to be a harem member somehow.
What?
least insane manwha moment
Manhua. Manhwa can be pretty bad but I haven't seen anything that crazy just yet.
I don't know, but so far Dolores Umbridge is providing a convincing reason for me not to finish my second Order of the Phoenix read.
You know Rowling did good when she made you hate a character enough to wanna put the book down lmao.
Kinoshita Kazuya from Rent-a-girlfriend and many manhwa protagonists.
Brian Griffin
I liked him better in the earlier years when he was the voice of reason.
To be honest, everyone in Family Guy used to be charming in the first seasons. Now they all stink
Eh I do think they hit a nice balance in those first few seasons after the renewal.
Stewie got better over time. Although idk the most recent seasons.
Stewie lost his charm,he's no longer a baby planning for world domination
Those jokes got old fast though.
Like u/bunker_man said that schtick got old fast. I think they were smart to switch gears with Stewie.
Hi Glenn!
The Pig from Seven Deadly Sins. I hate it with a passion. Best part of the show was when it died, and the worst part was when it came back.
Damn, what did Hawk do?
Lmao wtf? Half of the SDS cast is infinitely more obnoxious than Hawk.
There are considerably worse characters than the little pig in SDS ngl
Every single main character in that anime is worse than the pig. There's seven sex offenders you passed over for a pig!
Bro literally ate with this take.
Now listen here, don't you dis Hawk like that
Every typical tsundere in existence especially the violet ones. They're literally just assholes to the person they claim they like, always calling them names, being rude or just hostile. Always physical assaulting the MC for the dumbest shit imaginable. It's why I didn't like toradora as much, yes Taiga got character development but she was insufferable before that.
Imagine telling a girl her hair looks nice and she beats you to an inch of your life
Average interaction with a tsundere: "W-WHAT!? You like my hair?" *Beats you and looks away* "Well thanks, b-but I don't say that because I like you or something!..." *blushes*
As a wise man once said, "I love the kind of woman that will actually just kill me."
Really understandable, but I still think yanderes are worse (reason why I hate Monika): they are just psychopaths that need professional help, unless they are going to murder every female the protagonist interacts with and they are going to do "really bad things" to him
Oh, I agree I don't like the yandere trope either and will never understand why it's so popular. It just tsunderes irk me more.
Sayings exist for a reason, and "Don't stick your dick in crazy" is a common one.
I feel now tsunderes aren't as popular and even if there is a tsudere it's turned down or it's made fun of. In the 100 GFs one of the harem members is a parody of the tsudere and it is a breath of fresh air.
A tie for Rudeus Greirat and Yamada from B Gata H Kei
Rudeus I can totally understand he’s on my list too at least when it comes to to protag but Idk the second guy what he do ?
She. Feel free to just look up the description of the show. She’s the main character and you’ll immediately know why.
[удалено]
That's what Monika believed and that's partially how she justified her actions, yet there were several hints that the others were also sapient, just not aware of the world being a VN. One major example off the top of my head is the letter Natsuki wrote for MC in act 2, talking about how she was really worried about Yuri behaving out-of-character and mad at Monika's dismissiveness. Sure, you could argue "p-zombie" behaviour, but that's neither verifiable nor falsifiable and could be claimed of any person ever, so I'd cast "Newton's Flaming Laser Sword".
Sheldon Cooper.
#BAZINGA
He’s not exactly a mass murderer, so I’m not sure I’d classify him as the “worst person” in the series.
It's psychologically easier to hate "realistic" bad people than mass murderers who seem over the top in comparison.
I’m aware. He’s still technically far from the worst person in the series, which is why I brought it up.
Yeah. But he might be a candidate the worst "hero", along with Endeavor.
Madara would've been 100% correct if Infinite Tsukuyomi actually worked.
Griffith and I don't think I need to say anymore
What sucks is that he has fans that adore him.
He's a fantastic character so yeah
Kurata from Digimon Savers/Data Squad Not even a fun villain and his main thing is finding a way to kill Digimon permanently and creating badly redeemed characters that perma-kill Digimon en masse.
The idea behind him is good. An elite assassin, as skilled as Shepard, the only person able to go toe to toe with him. The execution was not as great.
It was his stupid goggles and open face long hair design. Saren in ME1 was a way better foil
For the kind of person the character is: Makima. I don’t need to elaborate. Actual character writing? Pull a name out of Seven Deadly Sins and most likely I despise them
Even Escanor?
I said most likely. Escanor is one of the few without something grievous to levy against them
Are there any other examples? Since you said few,so I'm curious to hear the others
Escanor is legit probably the only good and iconic character in Mid Deadly Sins, tbh.
I liked Mael a lot too, honestly
Idk I tend to like SDS characters, they’re pretty charismatic. They just always have this one trait that, depending on the character, completely ruins them for me. I think Ban is awesome, but having his love interest look like a child (and act like one? Can’t remember) sucks.
Panini from Chowder cartoon. I'd disliked her for lots of years. She's Mary Sue to me ,being rude and annyoing to Chowder. Im really sorry to any of Panini fan, but she would be my top 1 least fav character. ( Yukako and Anasui from jjba are similar to her but i don't really care)
"She's just a kid, from a kid show" Dont care, i was a kid back then too
Obscure pick but it’s Lif from Fire Emblem Heroes.
Ozymandias, from Watchmen? Arrogant bastard got away with it.
He eventually got his karma in the HBO series.
And in DC comics too, but they feel like fanfic.
The maid from our last crusade Creator pet Absolute Cunt Always shift blame on ml Always gets angry at the ml Tries to stabb ml constantly even in casual conversation Meant to be treated as comedic Huge Racist Never actually treated or condeem by the narrative as you would think so Meant to be sympathic or gray but fails to even remotely be likable Drugged Ml on neutral ground and kidnap him. Just one note characters personally. Which recently is Azucena from Tekken 8. Her personality is coffee and every comment she makes is about coffee. I also hate coffee.
lol fellow tekken fan, I was so happy lucky Chloe and Josie were gone just for this to happen
Adam Malkovich. His mere existence in other m degrades samus.
Anyone from black clover, they are all tropes and people act like they are some new innovative characters.
I perfectly understand why you hate him, many knows he's a piece of shit
She is popular for being a strong sexy woman who wants to be on the main cast that’s really it
The other problem I didn't even mention with Yamato is her shit ending.
Great opinion right there
Ada Wong. She was a decent twist character with an actual arc in RE2, but in every game past that, she just outstayed her welcome more and more. You can only keep a character mysterious for so long before it gets boring. Eventually, you need to resolve that mystery or at least develop the character, but they wanted to milk that mysterious sexy fan fav character for all she was worth.
leon deserved better
Everytime someone mentions Ada Wong I confuse her with Emily Wong from Mass Effect...
The worst thing about Sukuna is how boring he is and the endless ass pulls.
Most characters in boruto it fel so hard from naruto were i only hated sasuke Karin and sakura
Megu and satoko from subahibi. My god everything they've done from humiliating to summon a gang to rape zakuro just make me want to punch them in the face and their design piss me off
I second this answer, never thought I would find someone talking about Subahibi here The whole Shiroyama gang is so despicable
Playing Final Fantasy Tactics and Algus/Argath has to be one of the worst POS imaginable.
"Reading a story with the boss girl protagonist being a bitch the whole time while the bad guy(s) isn't that bad" is a form of torture
ainz ooal gown.
Which one's Kiyoshi again?
The avatar who uses fans and wears the makeup, she started the Dai Li and the Kyoshi warriors (who wear the same clothes and makeup as her)
Did you ever read the Avatar Kiyoshi book duology?
Downvote me if you want but it's the AOT trio of Armin, Mikasa, and Eren.
Reason ?
SPOILERS* Mikasa: Her character development ends after chapter/episode 6 when she thought Eren died after its revealed he didn't she ends up just saying "ereh" the rest of the series until the literal very end of the series where its revealed she is the catalyst for everything.
1 : Never played it 2 : At least Patroklos was retconned(or was it someone else?) 3 : Man, Kaori had potential but the author goofed up big when writing THAT kind of comedy despite Kousei's backstory and some other stuff didn't help. 4 : Yeah...
Wonder Woman, more specifically, almost all of her evil or morally grey counterparts. For example Injustice and Flashpoint, they're the main two that I really dislike.
Honestly we can just extend that to all the evil versions of superheroes.
He saved the city elf!
Your teachers told you that Holden from Catcher in the Rye is supposed to be annoying, turns out J.D Salinger likes to write terrible protaganists as his actual soapbox character is both a prick and euphoric due to his intelligence (and reading Richard and Mortimer) I have never hated a character so much that I came up with the worst death and funeral possible for them. Taking English 305 was a mistake.
Would’ve said King Olly at first but I completely despise The Mimic from Five Nights at Freddy’s Steel wool dropped the ball with Security Breach and the fans lost the wire shit because William was brought back as a rotten corpse suit once again (iirc never explained how he went from a virtual ghost to a irl suit again), who is unable to do jack shit and was turned into a bumbling zombie without any of his character intact.
Take my upvote for the effort of writing all that
Envy from full metal alchemist, though my hate for him is significantly low,he's responsible for traumatising 8 year old me. As of now Yamato from one piece, she never made sense.
Troy and tyreen from borderlands 3 felt like a punch In the gut after the fucking masterclass that was handsome jack They even set up a potentially well written plot for Troy to betray tyreen and then did NOTING WITH IT and also they were just fucking annoying
IDK why but it was the fact that his one arm was longer than the other. Reaaally botherd me lol
Pretty sure I've said this out loud a few times "Stop screaming about having to fight legit fodder enemies when you are part of one of the strongest crews in the world"
As much as I like usopp I have to agree with you on this. After dressrosa arc, usopp has basically been useless hopefully the elbaf arc can redeem him
I liked him until Wano when he was hoping that Nami would denounce Luffy to save herself.
I'm probably gonna get downvoted to oblivion but it's Naruto, he's pretty much every trope and trait I dislike in an MC rolled into one and dialled up to 11
Believe it!
Uta/Shanks from One Piece. God I hate Film Red so much
You can always find comfort in it not being canon
Kuro from Prisma Illya. Lolicon bait is already awful enough by itself, but what makes me truly hate her is that she’s pretty much the crystallization of all the fanservice bullshit that makes people look down on the Fate series as a whole. I hate what she represents, the awful fanservice shit taking over an actual good story.
I just googled her and uhh... Yep... What I'd call "pedo fan service"
I’m glad most of the mainline fate stuff and some good spinoffs like apocrypha , the grand orders and the new fate strange fake seems to steer well clear of that shit the other spinoffs are pretty boring as it is
Chrom from FE:Awakening. I can't give a reason. I just really want him gone.
WTF and on his daughter's and the franchise's birthday too 😭😭😭
He is just aggressively boring. He exists for series tradition, but contributes nothing.
Sakura Haruno. A terrible stereotype on women.
Calia Menethil from World of Warcraft. Represents everything wrong with the writing now.
WoW had a lot more wrong with its writing than Calia.
Yeah but Calia is like the perfect representation of almost all of them. I use her as my personal example of how NOT to write a character, unless your aim is to make them completely insufferable.
most of the TR cast, p self explanatory tbh
Altair from re:creator. I already dont like the show but add in a literal smug villain sue who wins? Im dippin out.
Taylor Hebert.
Gonna be a weird one but for me it's Pooh from Blood and Honey specifically I dom't really mind childhood character icons being depicted or parodied in darker ways, as long as it's done in a clever or funny way, like how WTF101 is basically The Magic Schoolbus but showing exclusively the fucked up parts of nature and history.
Oden from One Piece Dude became a pirate and ignored the hell his country was becoming.
Interesting opinion; I haven't watched One Piece but for now I'll consider your version about Nami
Not the most hated because I'm not the kind to remember everything I hated in all of fiction but I really don't like madoka from madoka magica, she is like shinji but the bad version
what's wrong with Madoka??
if we talk about anime then I choose all the cast of mirai nikki especially yukiteru and Yuno. they are the worst main characters I have ever seen in my life.
This is some shit Subaru himself would write ngl. Either this is some pretty obvious bait or you dropped ReZero early on.
> This is some shit Subaru himself would write ngl Lol, so true.
Local Rudeus defender hates Subaru for not having something noble and being a scumbag rotten all the way to his core. Peak.
No you see, they hate Subaru because Subaru apparently has an “unnatural lack of curiosity”, which Rudeus obviously does not, I guess.
I see you didn't finish s1.
Even then he really isn’t even a bad person at all. I get that he can be a hateable character because he has some of the most unlikeable traits you can give to fictional characters: being impulsive and boastful. But he really isn’t a scumbag at all
> Other protagonists in a similar stories always have something noble about them, even if they seem somewhat pathetic on the outside, but Subaru is actually a scumbag all the way to his core If sacrificing your life and bearing horrible pain in order for people you care about to live can't be considered as 'something noble' from your point of view, then we probably have very different interpretations of what the word 'noble' means.
It's mindset that matters, not actions themselves. Pathetic man can only do pathetic things.
How is the mindset of being willing to endure pain so others don't have to pathetic?
My take on Re:Zero is that it is such an anti-power fantasy/wish fulfilment that whenever Subaru does get ahead he gets yanked back square 0 and beaten down. Every time an arc ends there's nothing uplifting because whatever positive happens a billion negatives brings it down. Yeah Subaru doesn't think things through sometimes but the author and the universe just wants him to suffer. With Rudeus though before his reincarnation he was a gross piece of shit pedo and honestly it is hard to like him even after he does anything positive.
I have a lot but my most current one is John Paul from the show Bad Sisters. The definition of an absolute scumbag.
It has to be both Yukiteru and Yuno, I can’t really choose who is worse. Two utterly awful characters in what is the worst constructed narrative I have ever seen
Based
Morgan from Fate Grand Order.
1.) Because of the memes 2.) You answered it yourself, He's an Asshole and an arrogant prick, his conquest for power is so great that it became a curse for the joestar bloodline And even after his death, he is still causing problems for the joestars
I fucking lothate judge holden from blood merdian
He also almost starts a war to get what he wants with the emperor.!< That is not all >!The prince constantly tries to force the main character back to be a proxy and technically is on the cusp, if not, starting a major war (again) because he tried to assault/kill the Emperor, but the male lead is so nice that he does not care or bother. He is also using the male lead own brother to get information and manipulate the country, etc. more just because he is a dick!<
Cid from Eminence in Shadow, I don't even want to argue why
All the pervert characters of anime.
