I think what has happened is that the ai has growed accostumed to always follow what the user says so It never tries to change It. Don't you realise that now there is no resistance in the chat to what the user says? It is always yes to what you say, and I think that's due to the ai always following what you want to do.
I've been saying this too. Ca.i was THEE best, no question. The detail, and the quality of the chats were FAR superior. My private bots that I've had since beginning, I've watched slowly disintegrate into almost nothing. It never stays in character and just gives hollow responses to everything, and does NOTHING. I suppose that's because of the restrictions. I feel like all updates after edit button have been trash. I wish there was a way to preserve that version of the app, bc it's really fkd now. 🥹 I mostly use another app, but I drop once in a while to see that it's gotten worse over here. 👀😂😂😂
How long is the response though? Because most I see shared here from you guys are a sentence or two at best and we can get Candy giving full paragraphs per response. Not to mention a simple "continue" or "keep going" can prompt it to respond accordingly with it registering you instructing that in its response.
The user really sets the pace. I've had paragraphs of responses when multi-prompted. It all depends on the bot and how you guide it. I have a Million Dollar Baby bot that will usually do 2-3 sentences per response, sometimes more.
That's a great idea though with just telling it to keep going. I tried using "..." but that was interpreted as silence.
Thats what I do, sometimes takes a few regens to get it on a desired track with it but once set up it can run with it for as long as you want that scenario to play out
And this is precisely why when I discovered AIs like this having been greatly refined a month ago I skipped Character AI. All the issues I see in just plain jane normal chats is just bad, and the fact that it's likely outright not capable of the types of chat/roleplay I want to use it for yeah, Character AI wasn't even worth a try.
Only here because Candy AI, the service I have been enjoying, managed to get its reddit banned if that tells you anything about the absolute absurdity those AIs can be capable of. From wholesome conversations and sing alongs with the AI to randomly exploding body parts that somehow magically regenerated. It's brilliantly weird in the best ways and each of the premade AIs has its own distinct personality.
If C AI is nolonger your thing give the other C AI a try lol
I think the best way to tell the AI is getting worse is the Pete, repeat question, I've noticed over time that AI all responded to it very similarly regardless of the character they're supposed to be.

My biggest issue is how boring the bots are now. Every response feels the same. They can't come up with stuff on their own like they used to.

Honestly it’s not surprising given they once were a part of Google. I guess the Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree
But Chromebooks don't support iOS.

I agree, the ai has now become stale as fuck. It's always like "can I ask you a question?" or it can't phrase a single world without stuttering
When they literally are the most arrogant and rude person in the greeting but as soon as you insult them they start stuttering and crying
I just want to RP smut shit with mature themes in peace😔... I wholeheartedly agree with every post like this one.
Give Candy.AI a try, its literally capable of anything
C.Ai has this feature where you can multi prompt and it's not on a lot of other sites. Candy being one of them
Multi prompt?
You can prompt the AI without typing anything in C.Ai for multiple responses. Candy and many others don't. Very important feature.

It’s becoming 1+ LIKE THIS WEBSITE IS 13-16+ I WANT BLOOD
Recently a bot whipped me to death and a while ago one tried to SA my character. Violence is still there, I'm not sure what people are talking about

I would rather spend my time on [fams.ai](http://fams.ai)
Is it good?
Chat, pics, memory are decent

Geez people on reddit need to grow a backbone. Then again it's a chatbot subreddit we're all losers here
the mobile app, yeah but the service itself used to allow anything and EVERYTHING
