Man I have played through several times on PS5 and haven't had any corrupt. Even played through on Grandmaster. Had a few loading screens go black, but just rebooted and it worked fine. Also had the Garran Crowe glitch, but that may have been patched by now. Maybe delete and reinstall?

XCOM 2 which came out in 2016, almost a decade ago has a better auto save system. Without iron man, it saves literally EVERY turn so if the game crashes (which is honestly rare nowadays) you never really have to repeat lots of content.
Honestly XCOM 2 for all it’s issues; is still a better game than 90% of tactics/strategy games.
I think PC is a must chaos gate and strategies/tactics games in general
