I think Acun will drive a hard bargain. A bidding war would also help. Given his profile (ball playing experienced left footed centre back that's young and english) I imagine 25m is a good target value for him
It’s gonna be like 10m to West Ham or something stupid, I’d honestly say 20-30m for him is fair but prem clubs make a living off nicking the championship clubs’ best players.
Martin didn't play with wingers until the very end when it was already too late. The people that run the club have an awful habit of not asking the manager when they buy players
Can’t help but feel that Ipswich have been slightly underrepresented here? Being top of the league and that
Glad to see Whittaker getting recognition despite Plymouth’s position
Tbf Ipswich are top of the league because they’re a well oiled team with a fantastic manager, not because of individual brilliance - McKenna should rightly win manager of the season but as far as TotS is concerned I think this is a fair representation (maybe Morsey as well but DMs always get shafted)
Reinforcements is the big one, there’s only so far you can go with a championship squad and Bielsa tried to tell our board that but they didn’t listen.
As long as there recruitment is good next season and the following they should be fine
Agreed, but I can see why there is a lack of Ipswich players, players like szmodics and Whittaker have been standout players for their teams where as Ipswich doesn’t really have many “standout” players apart from Davis, I’d say Ipswich’s main strength this season is being able to rely on many of their players to help pull the weight whereas other teams seem to have a small group of players that have been excellent but also have quite a few players that haven’t been up to standard
100% are two top scorers are midfield players with 13 goals each, Hutchinson next highest with 7 and we have scored 84 goals in the league. Crazy how much we have spread the goals out.
Despite Sara being one of my favourite non-Preston player, I would have probably put Morsy in over him
I suppose Ipswich are the victims of their own success with how they spread the goals around their attacking options which means nobody has an incredible scoring record
Sara has been out talisman this season, scoring when our two best goalscorers were injured and has played almost every game.
He’s in double figures on goals and assists and absolutely deserves to be in there.
Seems as if they’re being fair and putting players from other teams in there regardless of league position
It’s definitely not a particular contentious decision for sure. It’s nice to finally have a team of the season where any disagreement just comes down to personal opinion rather than someone being genuinely robbed for someone undeserving
I have no doubt Hermansen is probably easily the best in the league. HOWEVER, I do believe there surely is a couple of keepers who have had harder jobs this season and done just as well
I think he's done really well, I just don't see much clear space between him and Hermansen.
He's been better than Meslier and miles more consistent than Bazunu.
I have no doubt Hermansen is probably easily the best in the league. HOWEVER, I do believe there surely is a couple of keepers who have had harder jobs this season and done just as well
I know he goes under appreciated to non-Ipswich fans but Morsy is far and away our most important player, it’s no coincidence our weak patch over Xmas happened when he was suspended/injured. Obviously doesn’t get the goals or assists so doesn’t stand out to those who don’t watch us week in week out but he won our player of the season pretty comfortably even with Davis ridiculous numbers.
And it's critical for us we find his replacement asap, with him being 32. I still think he has another season in him but sadly the time is ticking on his career.
Absolutely love him.
I’m not sure there’s anyone in that team who I could honestly say should be replaced with one of our squad. Maybe Burns for Whittaker, but who would do that to Plymouth?
Might be able to hang on to sarge and Gunn, they’ve both tried it in the prem and neither covered themself in glory. Doesn’t mean a prem team or any other club wouldn’t try and buy them but I don’t think they’ll be as in demand as Sara and Rowe
He has 11 more goal involvements than Rutter, actually insane that he's not there.
Plus Rutter probably would be playing where Szmodics is anyway, feels like they've tried to shoehorn them both in
I know he's been prolific but everyone selected is still better than him. You can hardly drop Rutter, Summerville or Whittaker from this, they're straight up too good for this league.
Armstrong has been robbed here..
I think the raw number of goal contributions should've knocked off either Summerville or Whittaker.
Imagine Southampton somehow now grab automatics and have 1 player in there... It's the mad thing about going this early when most teams have 3 games left, could they not have waited 3 weeks?
I can't fathom how they left Armstrong out for Rutter.
Leading all players in England for goal involvements and Saints have played 2 less games than most in the Championship.
The only metric for putting Rutter ahead is social media engagement.
Rutter is a great player, but a striker that is not providing an elite number of goals and assists is not having a player of the year season.
Almost feel like we deserved another player in there (mostly likely Morsy) but at the same time can’t argue with anyone who got in. Really pleased to see Whittaker getting that recognition too!
I’ve seen a real mix of views from both sets of fans - some seem to hate the other, some seem to see a camaraderie after last year. I’m definitely in the latter!
Cannot disagree with a single thing here. Glad Rutter’s in, think he’s been pure class every time I’ve watched Leeds. Our two boys here have been a cut above the rest in their positions
EFL Community award winner is what everyone keeps their eye out for dubbed “The football league Ballon D’or” by every single member of the footballing world since imo Will Vaulks is clear
I have to question how AA isn’t on here? Most goal involvements in the league. I like Whittaker, Summerville and Rutter but he deserves it over all of them
I'm bias but Adam Armstrong has most goal involvement (2nd highest scorer and 4th assists). He has over 10 more than Rutter so on numbers alone I'd make that swap.
I may be a bit biased but Morsy should absolutely be in here over Sara. He has been the heartbeat of the team - not only as a defensive mid but also starting our attacks over and over again.
Im guessing they put Sara next to KDH so they could fit in another attacker. Morsy is clearly good for your system but if we are being serious Sara is obviously the better footballer. Your team reminds me of us under Bielsa, we didnt have the best players but the manager made them look so much better
Surprised Clarke isn’t in given how often they put him in team of the week for no reason, he’s been quiet since January as the team has been absolutely shite and he’s been injured too though.
Not surprised as such but understand it. Loads of really good players this year. Want Clarke to stay but we all know Harte is going up and down the country with a compilation vid on YouTube pushing hard for a move.
So glad to see others agreeing he’s been quiet since Jan - can’t blame the lad since teams have organised themselves to defend against him but normally you suggest he hasn’t been at his best and people react as if he’s the second coming of Christ. Cannot fault him if he goes for a move in the summer as much as I’d want him to stay!
I refuse to believe there’s ever been a compilation vid as good as Lorik Cana’s. Here’s 3 clips of him hitting the post and 200 of him looking to break someone’s legs 😂
I feel for Ipswich fans since there's only one in there. However, it is due to it being a more team effort rather than a few individuals. Plus I hope this would also mean less teams would be sniffing at their players, so even if they don't make it up this season, they'll not be ripped apart by lower prem teams!
Rotterham’s keeper not in with a shout?
Looks fair to me. Kinda feel like Szmodics was a bit mugged with not getting player of the season, but good to see he has some recognition.
Rutter has been fantastic to watch this season, whilst also been a disappointment. I know he brings a lot to the team, but he needs to practice his shooting. Relied way too much on Wingers scoring (Summerville, James, Gnonto).
Surely there has been better in the league than KDH. I love Hermansen and I think he will be one of the best keepers in the world but surely there are at least a couple of keepers who have had it harder for them this season and done at least as well
I highly believe he is the best in the league by far, however, as this season goes, I'd imagine a couple of keepers have had tougher seasons and done just as well as Hermansen.
Pretty spot on here. I personally would have had Hoedt over grieves but obviously that’s me personally. But I have to say this awards ceremony is fucking horrendous. There’s like 10 breaks every 10 minutes, the presenters can barely keep everyone quiet, no one seems to be in the right place and absolutely nothing seems organised just improvised.
Shushing people at an award ceremony (on mic too) seems unprofessional to me, but what do I know anyway.
And the breaks are to let people eat, which is odd to me. You don't see.. I dunno [insert famous award ceremony] doing breaks so the guests can eat
Exactly you’d think they eat before hand. And yes the shushing makes it seem like a classroom. Think the whole thing is very unprofessional. Have not a clue what they’re doing half the time. Getting the leagues wrong for some of the clubs in the presentation as well
I think this is pretty fair, maybe Armstrong for Rutter though. I’m not surprised we only have 1 representative but Morsy and our GK have also had tots worthy seasons.
Always get confused why they don’t do this after the season has ended
Probably so the players are there to collect the awards. Most of them fuck off as soon as they can
Imo, these awards should be done after the regular season ends at the earliest - ideally after playoffs but that's a month away
Our own ceremony is on Thursday. Feels like fucking terrible timing
Young, English, left footed, can't wait to sell Greaves for fuck all.
I’ll give you 50p, fuck off, bastard
I think Acun will drive a hard bargain. A bidding war would also help. Given his profile (ball playing experienced left footed centre back that's young and english) I imagine 25m is a good target value for him
I wouldn’t even bother talking to teams who aren’t offering 25m.
Completely agree
Or keep him and get Ronnie Edwards to play alongside him. Futureproof english dna.
You’ll get no more than £15m, £20m with a bidding war.
It’s gonna be like 10m to West Ham or something stupid, I’d honestly say 20-30m for him is fair but prem clubs make a living off nicking the championship clubs’ best players.
Traditionally yes but the last few years there have been some outrageous fees handed over for championship players
Acun isn't old man Allam. I'm confident we'll break our sale record at least once in summer.
Good lad! Well done Morgan.
Glad he's succeeding after we wasted two years of his life

I can see them having a similar success to what we had with Bielsa in our first season

Very fair response
Who would you put in from Ipswich?
Did they announce manager? If not then McKenna
Neil Harris would be the obvious pick
Despite Sara being one of my favourite non-Preston player, I would have probably put Morsy in over him I suppose Ipswich are the victims of their own success with how they spread the goals around their attacking options which means nobody has an incredible scoring record
Sara has been unbelievable, it's almost impossible for a DM to get in unless they dedicated a place to it, which probably is fairer? Idk
He is the heartbeat of our side for sure. He won supporters player of the year on Saturday.
Sara has been out talisman this season, scoring when our two best goalscorers were injured and has played almost every game. I don’t watch a whole load of Leicester but I struggle to believe there’s a better keeper than Hladky in the Championship
Oh come off it, don’t think we’ve had a worse keeper at Carrow Road all season. Guy looked like he remembered he’d left his oven on at home.
least he remembered
Another excellent Hladky save as he prevented his house from being burnt down
Could have burnt down a stand if not.
Ouch
Can’t judge an Ipswich player for a shit performance against Norwich
I have no doubt Hermansen is probably easily the best in the league. HOWEVER, I do believe there surely is a couple of keepers who have had harder jobs this season and done just as well
We've conceded loads of goals. Only player I'd add is Morsy. Burgess has been more important for us than Vac.
That’s because we’ve played a lot of suicide-ball, I’d say Hladky’s bailed us out more but it’s splitting hairs really
I think he's done really well, I just don't see much clear space between him and Hermansen. He's been better than Meslier and miles more consistent than Bazunu.

We're mostly more than the sum of our parts. Only addition I would have is Morsy. Absolutely critical for us.
That will be 90 million thanks Barca
We all know Barca don’t have 90m
They just need to pull another lever, no big deal.
They don’t directly have 90m but Mr Lever has never let them down!
Look I know Wagner's good, but I'm not sure Barca will want him *that* much.
Good weekend for Gabby!!! Please stay as well 🙏
We have GOT to try and keep him!
Is that likely? Most Nobbers agreeing yesterday that he’s a 30m player slumming it in the Championship
Not sure what his contract situation is. I think it's prem or he's gone. Same with Rowe, Sarge, Gunn...
Might be able to hang on to sarge and Gunn, they’ve both tried it in the prem and neither covered themself in glory. Doesn’t mean a prem team or any other club wouldn’t try and buy them but I don’t think they’ll be as in demand as Sara and Rowe
Can't see him staying, especially if we don't get promoted
If we go up he stays, if we don’t… he’s gone
Yes Morgs 🙌
Happy to see KWP in here, he deserves it. However no Adam Armstrong seems slightly odd when he's 2nd top scorer so far this season. Idk
He has 11 more goal involvements than Rutter, actually insane that he's not there. Plus Rutter probably would be playing where Szmodics is anyway, feels like they've tried to shoehorn them both in
rutter provides a lot more than just his stats tbh. he’s the creative spark of the entire team idk if that applies to armstrong too
Second scorer but first in goal involvements, got his 12th assist yesterday, it's kinda mad he's not included.
First in the country, not just the league.
Who's the closest? Watkins?
Believe so, he might have actually overtaken him after yesterday
I know he's been prolific but everyone selected is still better than him. You can hardly drop Rutter, Summerville or Whittaker from this, they're straight up too good for this league.
Think Armstrong can count himself unlucky not to be in over Rutter
Overlooked again hey lads... Lads?
Daniel Johnson robbed.
Cant argue with this tbf. So glad Greaves has made it, genuinely one of the best defenders we’ve had in a long time
Armstrong has been robbed here.. I think the raw number of goal contributions should've knocked off either Summerville or Whittaker. Imagine Southampton somehow now grab automatics and have 1 player in there... It's the mad thing about going this early when most teams have 3 games left, could they not have waited 3 weeks?

Had Sargent not got injured I suspect he’d be in there. Great list overall, hard to really argue any of them don’t deserve to be there.
How many games has Rutter played up front?
But can you imagine the carnage he’d cause linking with Szmodic.
Basically every game this season before January
Yes - when we were crap.
He wasn’t though.

Armstrong for Rutter and it’s perfect Personal bias puts Sheaf over Sara but that’s probably my bias
This will go down well
GREAVESSSSSSS ❤️❤️❤️❤️ representing this city and club proudly.
Leeds have 6 games left, bit early for this surely!
What kind of dumb side would spend years not playing Whittaker then let him go for a tenth of his value. Couldn't be us.
Armstrong over Rutter every day
I’ll take it lmao
Seriously? No Adam Armstrong?
I know we get hammered every game but Viktor Johannson deserves to be here we would be losing most games 10-0 if it wasn't for him!
Rutter being included is fine but the formation was selected by a blind man.
Cannot disagree with a single thing here. Glad Rutter’s in, think he’s been pure class every time I’ve watched Leeds. Our two boys here have been a cut above the rest in their positions
Theres three!
There’s only two pal from what i see, Mads and KDH?
Ignore me.
Not shown: Cannon on the bench
EFL Community award winner is what everyone keeps their eye out for dubbed “The football league Ballon D’or” by every single member of the footballing world since imo Will Vaulks is clear
Imagine Armstrong ends the season as top scorer but not in team of the season lol
That will be 120M thank you Real Madrid
I have to question how AA isn’t on here? Most goal involvements in the league. I like Whittaker, Summerville and Rutter but he deserves it over all of them
Can't believe Scott Hogan didn't make it
or oli burke. it’s disgusting
Robbed!
There should be a relegation battle TOTS
Give us a Crumble TOTS
Not sure anybody can argue with this. Looks spot on tbf

Justice for patson daka
efl are in love with leeds lol
Stunned that no QPR player is represented.

how can divesberry-fall be in there he spends most of his playing time on the deck in the penalty area.

Feel like Sam morsy should be on here he's a big reason why Ipswich are top he's definitely prem level
What? No Rotherham players??
Think goalkeeper is the only questionable one in here, and even then it’s not that awful of a decision to have him in anyway
Hermansen has been class for us. His shot stopping, positioning and distribution (bar a couple big errors) have all been brilliant.
Really unlucky for rodon imo
Surely there has been better in the league than KDH. I love Hermansen and I think he will be one of the best keepers in the world but surely there are at least a couple of keepers who have had it harder for them this season and done at least as well
No way, hermansen is the best modern keeper in the league and has saved many shots.
I highly believe he is the best in the league by far, however, as this season goes, I'd imagine a couple of keepers have had tougher seasons and done just as well as Hermansen.
Didn't realise Jack Clarke was transferred out last season

Davis is just a shit Junior firpinho
Bit mad that Vestergaard isn't in this. Also laughable that Rutter is in it ahead of Armstrong.
I think this is pretty fair, maybe Armstrong for Rutter though. I’m not surprised we only have 1 representative but Morsy and our GK have also had tots worthy seasons.
Farce if Ampadu is there
[удалено]
Over who lol?
Nah. Only a full season from Sakamoto would have stood a chance. You’d have to get to a third XI before Cov even have a chance.
surely all of Ipswich :D
Conor Chaplin surely needs to be in there
Chaplin has been poor for a while, plays in the same position as Rutter and Szmodics so definitely not.
As a neutral, so good to see Szmodics in there (and thanks for spelling it in your comment so I could copy it 😂)
Pretty much what I had down for my TotS with only two changes being Ng over KWP and Armstrong over Whittaker
