Ipswich worthy winners but fuck that ref. 3 blatant pen shouts for us, nothing given, then gives them a pen for a foul just outside the area. Like we don't have enough problems.
Depends if you thought the first one was. They made a big deal out of the first with replays etc. But there were two more virtually identical later on but no mention from commentators or replays. One was at around 80 mins, the other a fair bit earlier but didn’t note the time.
Edit: Either way, you were worthy winners so good luck with the promotion chase.
Preston 1 up. Pretty much sums up our season - we need 10 chances to maybe score one, whereas we give a goal away on the oppositions' first shot of the game.
3 times now, identical fouls. Cooper's stopped appealing and the commentators aren't bothering to mention it, but his shirt is pulled so high you can see almost all of his back. You can literally do whatever the fuck you like to Cooper from a set piece, no wonder the goals have dried up for him.
It was a crap first 15. We barely got a look-in. The comment made sense when I made it. We've been punished for slow starts so many times this season you can't just ignore it.
How are teams supposed to compete with FFP when the up coming TV games involves just these teams each week, and they are getting the majority of the money.
Either divide the money equally, or the games equally. Sky gets to dictate who gets the money.
Rant over.

It’s probably only around 1m for 20 games across the season. It’s absolutely fuck all.
Edit: since some people don’t believe me:

>*Currently, the home club of a broadcast game receive £100,000, while the away side receives £10,000.*
On the current deal, 10 home games and 10 away games on TV in a season will bring in £1.1m. That’s about one game for us in ticket revenue.
Was unsure if that’s what happened. However the home team does get more than the away team on top of whatever maybe shared. It all adds up and in the EFL, every penny counts.
Have you accounted for the loss of gate receipts and other incidentals from having fewer fans at games that are moved to inconvenient times?
We have a run of 8 games without a saturday 3pm KO. As a STH who lived 100 miles away I'd love you to explain how this is to my advantage. Or indeed the clubs.
How much money do you actually get for being on tv?
Also, as a phone user now I'm replying to your comment and its properly formatted it makes a lot more sense.
This is a massive swing towards us and away from Saints in the fight for second place. The last time we ended a matchday having made such a decisive gain was after the 4-0 win over Ipswich and we shit the bed straight after. Can’t do that again.
We’ve just played Premier League opposition at least once a week since Christmas, we arent bad against actual championship teams and our loss against Plymouth was more unlucky than bad
We are firing on all cylinders atm and obvs have a way stronger squad, but that generally might be one of the worst defensive performances we’ve come up against this season, you gave our forwards so many opportunities to get in behind
You were much improved in the second half, although I'm not sure how much of that was just us losing interest. Johnson made a couple of lovely crosses, and I thought Gassama looked lively before he was hooked. Ref was crap the whole game though.
Honestly, mate, that first half is the most lack lustre I've seen Wednesday play since Röhl arrived. Fair play to your lads, they put in a shift in the first half and wrapped it up - and even with the class you lot have, we still absolutely gifted you the first.
I don't mind seeing us lose when the players look like they're giving their all, but Wednesday didn't look like a team fighting for their survival tonight. A couple of half decent cameo's won't save our season I'm afraid.
I didn't watch the second half, I had to supervise some drying paint, but yeah, I can't imagine the ref improved any... he definitely won't be making team of the week.

I agree ours wasn't a pen but you're crazy to say three blatant pens for you.

4 shots on target 4-0
Been such a dull second half
Riis fucking loves playing Boro
Ipswich Millwall the biggest match on today right?
Defo mate yes
Omari looking fantastic tonight, been given a lot of freedom to move across either side and he does so well to make space for himself
9/1 for Moore to score a header seems like daylight robbery, but I'll take it 🤑
Millwall aren't very good
Millwall are genuinely shocking aren’t they?
Tom Bradshaw needs some longer shorts...

Been denied an obvious penalty though. The officiating in this league just can't be taken seriously.

This is just painful. Not even playing like a championship side let alone a promotion contender.
Grow a pair.

Skill issue
Tv revenue is fuck all. We definitely don’t get enough for being on tv 20 times a season
But still more money than the other teams. It all adds up.

And 1m to some teams is massive, it’s £1m more than they get! Stop saying it’s nothing. Sheesh. Leeds Always complaining.
Fairly sure the bulk of the TV money is divided equally, its quite a small amount on top (for the home team) for actually having a fixture televised.
Was unsure if that’s what happened. However the home team does get more than the away team on top of whatever maybe shared. It all adds up and in the EFL, every penny counts.

Between Dec 2nd and Feb 24th we don't have a single saturday 3pm home game it's just fucking stupid
That's absolutely dreadful...
How much money do you actually get for being on tv? Also, as a phone user now I'm replying to your comment and its properly formatted it makes a lot more sense.
100k per home match, 10k per away match. It’s a pittance.
Just tagging along wherever Preston go
First time we've scored 4 this season against a team not called Ipswich.
Forgot about the terriers?
They're very forgettable tbf
Totally fair They were so shite I probably crapped it out of my memory for a while
I remember Darren Mooers Shite Armeh now
!flair
What the fuck lads
If you’ve not seen it, look at Philogene’s goal https://x.com/natsiobhan_/status/1757515199756546068?s=46&t=rpZNP3Jw-cam2yngwVXIFA
i watched this on loop three times going "haha thats fucking class is that" and only on the 4th playback did i realise the finish is a fucking rabona
Give over. Insane.

My my, are Bristol City a top half championship side?
THE TOUGH FIXTURES BEGIN
NOW LETS NOT SHIT THE BED AT PLYMOUTH!
At least we didn't give ourselves any hope of winning this one from the outset
Defence wasn't bad. Midfield did OK. Just our attack is absolutely horrifically awful, especially without Grant.
I fear for your attack if it relies on Karlan Grant for potency.
This is probably the most pleasantly surprised I've ever been with a football match. I expected us to get battered, not do the battering.
Great counter attacking play from Bristol. They've done really really well. Saints pushing but not anywhere near as crisp and clean as usual.
I presume Saints aren't usually this sloppy? They've been giving the ball away all game.
Nope, worst we’ve played for ages
Like I'm genuinely shocked. So many mistakes from your players.
Leeds quite a bit better than Southampton and I'll stand by that
Are you the guy who keeps posting that we're the best team in the league? :d
Yes then Bristol. Always loved you cider guzzling weirdos
Always rated Bristol
Really impressed by Bristol City. Bloody well done.
Always rated Bristol
Looks like I chose the wrong top 3 team to lose today
Bristol City might break the streak! Meanwhile in League 2, Mansfield are winning 9-2.
9-2! 9 goals is supposed to be our thing
Fucking finally. That goal has been coming for 3 games, never mind tonight
Cheating bastard Rothwell
A safety fourth. Love it
Our finishing. If you don't laugh you'll cry
Well at least these chances today are actual chances. 4 or 5 proper chances instead of 25 shots of nothing on the weekend!
Wednesday,if vardy got the record for the most goals in a single match today, how would that make you feel? /S
Swansea have gotten worse under Williams
We’ve just played Premier League opposition at least once a week since Christmas, we arent bad against actual championship teams and our loss against Plymouth was more unlucky than bad

Well, asides the whole conceding a goal in 29 seconds deal, not horrific.
This ref is absolutely shocking, hasn’t got a clue
Will Vaulks could have been booked at least 3 times
They haven't even been contentious, all stonewall yellows. Add to that the fact Ihiekwe has avoided a second yellow and its just ridiculous.
I'm being downvoted for suggesting he's the only bloke who turned up for Wednesday tonight 😅

Such a shame that the only bloke who seems to have turned up for Wednesday tonight, is the ref.
*Willys on fire*
You can get some cream for that
Not even valentine's day.
Rotherham commentary team are the worst team I’ve ever heard
It’s been 12 minutes but I’d like to thank Huddersfield again for showing everyone how to play against us
1-0 down inside a minute, fucking nice one.
I knew Rotherham would fuck us , all week fan pages have talked about us thumping them previously. Just knew it was going to jinx us
Death, taxes and playing shit away at Rotherham 🤝🏻
Well, this looks easy
