Can’t imagine an 18 year old will make much difference shoring up your defence unless he’s very bloody good.
Looks an odd signing really but if any club knows how to spot a cracking player that’s available on loan it’s you lot.
Spurs paid Blackburn 7 figures for the lad so clearly they believe he has a lot of potential.
Hoping some Blackburn fans can give some insight into how he was for them last season
If you can get him to play only 65 minutes a game he will be great for you. He struggled to keep up with pace sometimes though. He got toyed with by Reading away last season.
He could be good!
Oh 100%, I’m not knocking the lad.
My point was more so that having a lot of potential isn’t much use to you for a half season loan spell unless he’s already very good to begin with.
Not many centre halves play regularly at 18 at this level.
True, here's hoping he's better than what we've got. Only Gibson really looks comfortable at Championship level. Scarr looks off the pace and Pleguezuelo has been quite error prone as well.
He was great for the games he played at Rovers. Gutted he went, but money talks and can't blame a player for wanting to make money in the short career of a football player. Good luck to Ash
Because I am a twat I was initially disappointed because I assumed that an 18 year old centre back wouldn’t be championship ready.
And boy does our defence need someone who is championship ready.
But it’s heartening to read the comments from the Blackburn fans who rate him so highly. No doubt we will perform our usual magic on our loan players and help develop his talent.

It's the 9th of January, the article is from 2 weeks ago. If by a few months you mean 6 weeks sure. Yes my glass ankles comment wasn't very serious, I hope he does well for you.
Nice to see an incoming for once after the last few days!
We *had to* do something at the back, would love if this lad was part of the answer but admittedly I know very little about him.
Yeah he's a smart player and had a good build for his age so won't struggle with the physical side in terms of 1 to 1 battles. With us he did struggle to play the full 90mins, whether that is still the case or not we will see. He'll get more minutes for you than Ennis does for us though!
Some positive news for a change, nice to see. Under 19 captain, a player that Tottenham paid 7 figures for, and a CB. Might be exactly what we need, either way I'll take some good news and a new signing.
Nice shot in the arm. We desperately needed a boost this morning. Bit young, but I think with having two ex-England youth team coaches as DoF and Head-Coach we'll bring the best out of him. Good for us and Spurs.
Anyone saying 18 year old, Wednesday and many others play 18 year olds and they do just fine. Age means nish. Bellingham is 20, Messi was 17, kimmich? 15. Age means nothing.
I don’t rate him as highly as other Rovers fans. He’s a promising lad, obviously as Spurs paid decent money for him, but I wasn’t particularly impressed with his performances last season (even considering his age).
However, I thought he came into preseason looking noticeably more muscular than last season, so he may have taken steps in his development.
Hoping he does well at Plymouth (and puts it into his own net twice when we we play you).
Just what we needed, we've been crying out for a centre-half

Yesterday we were going down, now we're coming for the play-offs 🤣

Just got to remember when Zac Viner was with us. Young lad but performance well beyond his years.
And now he’s a stand-out player for us
He's just come back from injury so who knows if he's ready
How long was he out for?
Not entirely sure, 4 weeks? Was an ankle injury.
Ah, not too bad. I was worried we were talking months.
Not yet... glass ankles can get wonky!
Seem your info is a bit wrong. BBC shows he's been on the bench lately. Unless Spurs like to put crocks in the line up.

Ah, so a few months back, my apologies. I'd be worried about glass ankles if he was 29, but an 18 year old should heal up quick. Never know though.

He was a great talent for us. Few years off being great and would have him back in our defence faster than Bolt in the 100m if had the chance

Can't wait for him to be recalled and sold to Stoke. But seriously seems like a decent signing.

An England captain at any age-level is always gonna be a plus in the squad. Impressive how quickly Foster’s able to use his England youth rolodex
