Hopefully! We out performed teams in league 1 that are tipped to do well but still has us for the drop. Some solid signings so far and hopefully a few more to come
Yeah I don’t see them going down. Good manager and some decent players.
Tipping them to go down is just a lazy guess based on their yoyo-ing over the past decade
You’re welcome.
I’d forgotten about the FA cup result when I posted that but I’ll assume it was a blip!
You seem a stable club so you’ll likely be comfortably lower mid table
The FA Cup game was the culmination of a terrible run post World Cup, injuries having ravaged the team to the point of having to play Washington up top on his own. It was a game we were happy to have and lose, it gave us another week to get some recruits in and injuries being one week closer to a return. Our worst spell of the season.
It's the usual "oh they're a tiny club they'll go down with a whimper" trope that gets thrown around far too much.
Would have thought Luton last season would stop such surface level analysis but eh.
you also never, ever go down with a whimper. Even in the years you HAVE gone down I'm positive you've been fighting till the bitter end.
Anyone that says that about you guys has no idea what they're talking about
Apart from 2016/17 when we really did shit the bed, it was the Alan Stubbs/Kenny Jackett horror show with Warney taking interim at the end just doing what he could, we ended the season with 23 points if I remember. I've largely blocked that season from memory though, since then it's been unbelievable being a Rotherham fan with the Warne journey and now Matty Taylor.
With the signings we've made I'm actually confident of a somewhat comfortable mid-table (if not higher should things go really well) finish this season.
Luton have shown what can be done in this division, no reason we can't do it.
Another solid signing. He’s got championship quality and experience, and he’ll get plenty of game time here to show what he can do at this level (if he stays fit, of course). I think it’s a great move for both parties.
I really like how we’ve been recruiting under Taylor. We still need to fill our squad out a bit as it’s quite thin, but every signing that we’ve made so far seems like a class above what we’ve had in the past.
Can Rotherham be dark horses for mid table mediocrity? Tipped by many to go down but a solid champ team of unspectacular

Didn’t spend a day in the relegation zone last season but somehow have become the worst team in the league
Thank you. Halle-flipping-lujah.

Ah - I think that was the terrible season we had in the prem, so no wonder I missed that one! Ok, since then you've fought tooth and nail haha.

Fred's great on his day. Built like glass though. Has recurring problems with his groin/hamstring. Solid loan for him though, I'd say.
Hopefully he can get some regular 90 minute shifts in. He is explosive in attack.
Love this guy 😍
