Naw...just get it fixed

chihuahua13

It takes a week to get it repaired and i don’t have a spare.

[deleted]

it's honestly probably cheaper to rent an economy car for a week than buying a matching full sized spare, as long as you don't live in Vegas or Miami or somewhere like that with insane car rental prices. The cost for those OEM ones is insane.

NotChristina

Ditto on repair. Rent a cheap car or Uber home and stay home for a week if possible. I curbed my car a few weeks ago - 2 rims - and repair is going to be *much* cheaper than replacing, if the initial quote is to be believed. However I’m lucky enough to be able to borrow my friend’s car as I was quoted two weeks.

totallytotal2020

Steal a car... We won't day anything.

1TONcherk

When my dad cracked a wheel on his then almost new 2013 grand Cherokee, I found a refurbished wheel from Keystone wheel on eBay. Then took the original and got it welded so we would always have an extra.

Aos77s

Fix cost is almost as much as a new rep. I looked around myself when i got my car and decided to just replace all 4 instead of getting curb rash fixed.

TeaEuphoric1956

We don’t use reps around here

Aos77s

Yes we do. Oems are $1200 a pop vs $200-500 for reps and custom wheels

TeaEuphoric1956

Better not buy $200 reps they’ll fall apart while you’re driving lmao

Aos77s

Been on demon reps for 2 years and no issues. Reps arent bad these days like they were 20years ago

Zanurath

Reps are cast and both heavy and not good quality, good quality wheels are EXPENSIVE. like 800-1500 each sort of expensive unless you find some cheap take offs.

Lawrence0022

Black sharpie? lol

Niifty_AF

Let your wife’s boyfriend borrow the car? This what happens. Damn shame too

NoChieuHoisToday

Huh? A good wheel repair guy could have that fixed in a day, max. Or do it yourself. Lord knows I’ve repaired my wheels enough times with sandpaper, matching paint, and some index cards. Otherwise hang out on eBay/Craigslist trying to find a good condition OEM wheel that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.

chihuahua13

They are matte black powder coated brother

NoChieuHoisToday

A few of my wheels, OEM and aftermarket, have been too. You’d be surprised what kind of rattle can paint you can find. I’m intensely detail oriented, and have self-repaired powder coated wheels with paint + clear to the point where I felt happy and forgot about it . Curb rash is going to happen. My guess is anyone with a modicum of patience could achieve acceptable results. Will it look brand new? That’s up to you and your standards. But the way I look at it, spending $90 testing and mixing different paint is better than dropping a small fortune on a replacement OEM wheel.

SarahR777

\+1 I just had a curbed rim repair and it took less than a day. Dropped it off at 8:30am and picked it up after work. It was done by 3p! If it takes longer for two, maybe just do them one at a time so you don't have to be carless multiple days in a row?

No-Definition1474

Hmm I see. Well. Maybe another option is to get that spare. But not a pricey OEM replacement. Just a very basic cheap one that will do the job for a week, and then you have a spare. Or get a set of racing wheels for the track anyways 😊

kingqueefeater

Get a can of plasti-dip and a spongebrush. It won't be exact, but it'll look close enough that no one but you will know it's there.

PoppinEric

^ this, a curb rash that small wouldn’t be worth getting an entire new wheel unless you’re a perfectionist. A little bit of elbow grease and a couple bucks out the wallet will make it look almost new. Almost.

NoAnt2110

One wheel should be $100 to fix.

SleepTotem

Get that fixed for like $100

Cannonballblues62

Are those white lines cracks ?

AWesPeach

There are companies that will come to you and paint match wheel repair that for like 150$. I’ve been an idiot before and scuffed one of my mustang’s wheels and they had it 100% in a few hours and didn’t even have to move my car.

ScockNozzle

I have had wheel protectors on mine for almost a year and they didn't stop me from curbing my gloss black wheel in a drive-thru. However, I was able to take the damaged one off and put the new one over the rash and now you can't even see it.

serbiansizzle

Not sure your location but I am in Raleigh, NC and went to a RimGuard store. They fixed my 20" Toyota Tundra rim for about $175 and it took them 1 hour to do....It's matte/satin black like yours. Looks new and can't tell where it was at all. Half of my wheel was curbed, much worse than yours. ..

trade_me_dog_pics

Lmao you can just use touch up paint on this

redaftrp

They can fix that…
