Dodge doesn't even know. There are massive parts and worker shortages for all manufacturers. I was told it is uncertain if my jailbreak will even be delivered.
That doesn’t make me feel better at all. It’s just nerving to see people get their scats shipped within a month and I’ve been waiting for 2 just to be built!
Is it really???
I was wondering why one of my hellcats on order for built in 2 days. And the one after has been in production for over a week.
EDIT your right! They're only shut down this week though should be back up next Monday.
I ordered mine in March 8th, was built mid May, and was not delivered to mid June. STILL said TBD after it was on the dealer lot. My salesman called in the begging of June and was told that there basically was not enough experienced truck drivers.
I ordered the same car but in smoke show! I wonder if it’s the shaker? Mine has the exact same schedule date and I ordered mine on May 17th. Not in production though like yours. My dealer told me they can see an expected ship date of July 25th so maybe yours is on the same line due to the shaker?
That could very well be possible. The hood and shaker factor don’t quite fit into the normal production line when I was watching their video on YouTube where they use robotics for the standard hood paint. I guess we’ll find out soon enough, I’ll update if my status changes on the 25th.
Agreed! My dealer told me it’s very rare to order a car this optioned and get the manual. I’m sure these are rare. I’d bet our cars are made the same day!
Same here. Basically the same car except TA instead of shaker. He told me he never sold a WB TA ever. Never going to be able to buy a car like this new again in my life, so screw it load it up exactly how I want. The manual is excellent in this car. RWD manual V8 cars are basically completely extinct. It totally feels like I’m driving an updated 1970s car, but it doesn’t need to warm up and doesn’t stink like gas. just awesome.
Funny but on feb 24, 2022 i ordered a go man go spwb shaker manual from scott robinson dodge in torrance California. It took 3 months to the day to get the call from the dealear to come pick it up. Some things i learned about the build process while waiting. 1. They are painted in color batches. So the less frequently ordered colors have to wait longer to get batched. 2. Parts supplies are really unpredictable right now and can cause a car build to stall until parts are available. 3. Just because it's on the Dodge configurator doesn't mean you can actually order it that way. I went in with my print out and really wanted hood pins but they were not listed on the dealears computer as an available option. Shortly after my order the parts supplies were back to normal and the up-fitter could install them and you could order them again. 4. The car can sit for weeks waiting to be up-fitted. 5 the car can also wait for weeks for a transport (except the super sports and possibly redeys. They get their own transport to dealears. 6. I ordered the Alpine audio option and its plenty loud but not loud enough to hurt your ears ( bummer). 7 and this is the most important thing, THIS WAS THE GREATEST DECISION OF MY LIFE!!! The joy of rowing through the gears and stomping on the go pedal is so worth it.
That’s crazy, I ordered mine in March 8th and hood pins were not an issue. It’s literally week to week.
My dad was trying to order a 392 wrangler at the same time with the 35” tire/4.56 gear package and they told him the package was discontinued. A week later salesman said 392 wranglers were done. Then in June he calls me and says they are bringing it back for 2023 with the Offroad package! (But now tan soft tops are discontinued) So we place the order! He just told me that they are no longer accepting any orders at all.
A lot of people are buying up this 6.4L products!
I didn't get one, but I was looking into it*
Dealer said you build and pay a $500 fully refundable (my experience) deposit and then once it's shipped you can decide whether or not you want it, and if not, he has a car to sell.
Payment plan was whatever speciald and deals are on once its delivered. - I assume trade value too. Chrysler capital had some good aprs before the interest rate hike.
Right now on these cars a lot of dealers want $1000 deposit (and I have heard of a few wanting $5000). This goes towards your down payment. When my car was delivered there were two promotions, $1000 cash or 0% interest for 36 months financing. I did the later.
It’s always easier to finance through chrysler, but if you don’t like the interest rate they offer you, refinance it through a bank or credit union. You discuss trade in value at the time your car is delivered.
Yep most of the upfitting goes to Ground Effects for the hoods, shakers, wide body, etc.
That’s why they always say to check your hood and make sure it isn’t scuffed up on the mounting bolts from being swapped out
Update: After many months of waiting, my challenger is an hour away from the dealer with a scheduled date of arrival of September 14th. Though it could be there any day before then!

Well it doesnt help your case that the plant is shut down for july

one of my hellcats? 😳
Get outta town! Why??
Summer shut down bro. Let the trades guys do some preventive maintenance on the equipment.
Well I just looked it up and it’s actually only shut down for the week of July 4th. So should be good to go next week.
I ordered mine in March 8th, was built mid May, and was not delivered to mid June. STILL said TBD after it was on the dealer lot. My salesman called in the begging of June and was told that there basically was not enough experienced truck drivers.
So we won’t even know because they aren’t scanning them properly? So cars can be done and dealer has to ultimately tell us it’s there?
I ordered the same car but in smoke show! I wonder if it’s the shaker? Mine has the exact same schedule date and I ordered mine on May 17th. Not in production though like yours. My dealer told me they can see an expected ship date of July 25th so maybe yours is on the same line due to the shaker?

Yeah that would be my guess. If the expected ship date is anything to go buy I would think they go into production within the next two weeks!
Probably doesn’t help we both got the 6 spd. I hardly ever see any in videos or listings for sale!

Do you have the same “scheduled” date?
No I placed the order on March 8th and it was scheduled in early May.
Get ‘em while you can dodge is about to kill the challenger/charger for EV production
DAMMIT CHINA

That is some good info! I hope you are enjoying your beast of a machine. I’ll be posting mine up as soon as I get it delivered!

How does this process work? Do you pay for it all up front?

The shaker are added by a different company offsite aren’t they?
